  1. Of course! That's an unconscious woman over there - an opportunity for some sex! Of course the rapist man will rush in.
  2. Woman allegedly votes for Trump twice. A class D felony inIowa. It's rigged alright - how convenient they caught a Trump supporter cheating. :D

  3. In Japan they have train cars that are for women only. Thats how pathetic us #notallmen are. Cant say I disagree: I agree with Sam Harris that belief can lead to some awful behaviour. Islam being a fine example of being the mother lode of bad ideas so it's not surprising to find terrorism spring from that well. But something should be said for nature: us men suck in too many ways in general and not all of it is caused from our culture, imo.
  4. The only time we have Trump involved in a public company that company failed while Trump profited from it like a con man. That is the public record for Trump since he will not release more information. Also, to say that half of public companies underperform dismisses survivorship bias in the stock exchanges. More companies than not fail and underperform. Trump's only excursion into this realm was a spectacular failure so he is, at best, with publicly available information, among the common failures rather than among the middling and certainly not among the "great" businesses. Stop enabling con men.
  5. We Don't know. I also doubt it's a crime to keep on the low that she visited her former refugee homelands. Especially if she disclosed the trip as was necessary in any filings she was required to make. We live in a country where we have too many people like you: quick to judgement and damn the facts. Thats a far bigger issue for me than whether or not she was in a country or two.
  6. Worse than that: blame Monsef for something that she may have had no control over. I believe my mother when she tells me where I was born. I am fortunate enough to have a birth certificate and a father to "prove" it. Not all of us are this lucky. My gawd though. To think we're in a society where if one's mother has lied then let's blame the child and, hey, she's probably a liar too... This age of Trump is sadly pathetic.
  7. No of course not. Why read the court file when all types of things can be stated without a factual basis so you can set up whatever point you want to make. We have all seen court cases in various jurisdictions make strange and even bad decisions - especially when it comes to rape. I would not have to look far to find many in Canada and the US where the rapist got off with hardly any form of punishment. The point is this: if you want to discuss such things then shouldn't they be based on facts? if so, then wouldn't the best thing to do be to find the related court documents and provide a link to them so we all have a chance to access the facts even if we don't read the language? Is that too much to ask? Now with this preamble out of the way, let the straw man arguments begin and I take my leave....
  8. Yes, that flight to New Delhi is amazing. 14 hours and not even very pricy at $1,400. Worth the extra few bucks just to save 7+ hours of time.
  9. I know. And my point is that it is going to depend on where one lives, how much one is willing to spend, and how much time one gets to take off to make the investment in time/money worthwhile. From Vancouver Island, where I am, SE Asia looks about the same as Europe and South America. I'm not sure if I am looking forward to Africa or not: YVR to Cape Town is 25 hours and $2,200.
  10. Oh, very productive!
  11. Lucky for him young voters don't vote. Even luckier that they grow older and do vote - for the Liberals if not the Conservatives.
  12. I will likely watch it on my iPad on Twitter - I expect they will have the Bloomberg feed playing just like the debates. I will likely then use my phone to go back and forth between 538 and anything else that catches my fancy. Looking forward to it - much drinking and entertainment is expected even on a weekday night.
  13. We can play this game all day: Vancouver to Lima: 14 to 15 hours around $1,200. Vancouver to Santiago: 19+ hours around $1,100. Vancouver to Paris: 14 hours around $1,100. Vancouver to Munich: 14 +hours around $1,200. Vancouver to Athens: 14+ hours around $1,600. Vancouver to Ho Chi Min: 19+ hours around $1,200. Vancouver to Sydney: 16+ hours around $1,900. Etc etc.... That 19 hours or so it takes me to get to Ho Chi Min is why I'm taking a month off for travel in December. If you are going to go that far which will take a full day of travel on each end then you may as well spend as much time as you can manage to take off while you are there.
  14. I prefer $20's but I'm not a big spender so if I do spend lots then I whip out the visa. But using plastic in the US was still a pain when I was there in August. Had to call Visa and have them take the block off the account: "yes, I am in the US right now and yes your policy of don't call us when you travel is complete and utter BS." But I blame the US still being in the 20th century - I mean, they pre-authorize everything down there which triggered Visa to block the account. Had I entered my pin like I do in civilized Canada then I doubt there would have been a problem. Now, when I travel outside the US I have been surprised by a couple of things: 1) May as well not bother bringing $50/$100 to Laos/Vietnam because they don't like them (well, for legitimate business they don't). 2) They don't really like USD's in those countries and I was surprised that even in Thailand they preferred we use the baht instead. Really, could just bring $200 USD into those countries (for Laos to pay the fee at the border) and then just use ATM's the whole way. They are definitely still cash economies.
  15. Because in a two way race it makes little sense to target 35% of the vote.
  16. Yeah which is why I can only watch and hope Americans do the right thing for themselves and for Canadians. As for Republicans being better for Canadians - I'll wait for a credible cite on that score. And predicting another recession are we? Again? You're starting to sound like Marc Fabre and Peter Schiff. I guess predict them long enough and you'll be right someday.... You do realize that a recession will matter little if it happens after the election? I mean, sure, in another two years there will be some house, senate, governor elections but Hillary will be stacking the SCOTUS with abortionists and it will all be "automatic."
  17. Democracy is always about loving the devil you know. BFD.
  18. No it's a vote for free trade.
  19. Good for you. Consider taking it to the other thread about "what are you listening to now?" This thread is about Turkish music. Maybe the creator of this thread is not articulate enough in English and/or music to discuss things further? I know I'm not (about music). Maybe asking a few questions before going all "shut her down" would have endeared me to you rather than thinking you, like august, have certain issues when the music ain't white enough. Your curiosity into Turkish music isn't enough to appreciate a thread being created with a person selecting the tunes for you? You are discouraged because it lacks the kind of discussion you yourself didn't even attempt to partake in? And no, I don't think neither you nor August have travelled enough nor have articulated enough to expunge that stain.
  20. Right. You want to learn more while bemoaning the thread you could have contributed to in a positive way by asking questions rather than partaking in the BS august started. Again, right.
  21. Nice 42 page paper arguing about the effect of Clinton winning the first debate on various markets/currencies. Makes a good point about why should Mexicans/Koreans/Canadians care. Because we have free trade with the US and Trump is a threat to our way of life. https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/what-do-financial-markets-think-of-the-2016-election_102016_wolferszitzewitz.pdf Could just be noise rather than signal, and in the long run it likely won't matter to the markets who wins, but there it is.
  22. Because we are being ENTERTAINED!!!
