  1. I think the essential problem of the thread is not which kind of weapon the drivers would arm, but that to arm a driver means he has obligation to use these weapons protecting his passengers just as people arm policemen means policemen have obligation to protect the people who arm them and could not flee even if they were facing weiguang li-liked criminals or maniac. So all bus drivers will need a renewed job contract and, of course, a renewed salary and insurance policy. And some guys who are not brave enough will need to try for a new job instead of being bus drivers.
  2. Rue, first you must understand, China was and is a developing country with large number of population and vast territory, so the development and even the culture in different areas are very different. Shanghai was the bigest and the most modern city in China and its culture was westernized when your mother was there. You could not suppose that the Chinese your mother met were the representative of the majority of Chinese at that time. The population of Shanghai was only 5 million and the population of peasants was 500 million. Mao and his CPC army were not some ET came from outer space. He was the representative of Chinese majority, the peasant class. Just as those peasants, Mao had never been abroad except visited Soviet once in his time. I'm not sure, would you think Mao hated Israel or anti-Israeli? LOL. At least in 1950s, I think Mao even didn't know where Israel locates in a map. What he did just due to several pages of paper with a list of which countries still kept diplomatic relations with Taiwan, where his enemy Jiang and his KMT government fled to. I don't think slavery is simply "wrong" or "good". In fact, slavery had ever been better, than the system before it---which is supposed to kill all prisoners of war instead of keeping them as slaves. By the way, I think Moses led "your kind" out of Egypt just because "your kind" were not the slaveholders in Egypt, not because your ancestors were "up" than others when slaveholding was the main form of the systems in this stage of human history ---no offence to "your kind", I just belong to those guys who can hardly agree to use modern moral criterian to blame or sugar up ancient people.
  3. What I talked about come from real independent source--myself observation or my relative's, my friend's observation or story, not come from the figures which some one post on internet who even had not willing to bother himself to make some story to back his figure. Rue, if you and I knew Arabic, I think we could find countless such "information" about how it is sin to be a Jew from internet if we adopt them without any analysis. I'm sorry I have not time to analysis every post you searched from internet, most of them even can not be considered as "western media" . I think they are just some anti-china organizations funded website. But I still can spend some time to analysis the first one to show you how it is incredible: If you account out the proportion of Children in a country's population, then deduct those kids whose parents are not dirt poor (I think you would agree that most parents will not let their underage children working if they can afford them, it's nature.), you will find that "children make up ten to twenty percent of the work force" is incredible. Of course, the "writer" of the post is dodgy, he used the words like "in some areas of China", so he is "expression-correct", though he did not point out where is the "some area" located.... Another dodge statement. Which part of which kind of factories are the "small machine-cramped work areas" only a kid can fit in? How many factories have such place to hire millions of kids? But the writer doesn't need to worry about these, because there always are a lot of people who have never go into a factory all their life. If we define the term "children" as "a person whoes age between 0 to 16", and we define the suitable age of a child worker is 13 to 16, according this guys' figure, you may find about 40% suitable aged "Chinese children" are in factory. and the second one: My son is five, I can not figure out which kind worker he could be even if being a beggar---for he can not sit in a place or concentrate on something more than one hour... Though, Titled with The International Labor Organization (ILO) sounds great, just as CIA and International Atomic Energy Agency ever said that Sadaam was making atomic bomb or they told us today no such things happened. Let's go back some philosophy from those boring 007's work: Rue, I know you and almost everyone here may have fully confidence on your system's correctness and fairness and I agree it is more correct and fair in your country's internal affairs. But it doesn't mean on everything it is correct and fair especially it is involved in other country's affairs which it have not deep understanding on or being "unfair" might benefit its interests. You believe in some guys "information" because they are "non-state-runned" organization. But have you ever considered that who fund them or they might also have any jobs irrespectively with "China-accusing" business to sustain themselves? Are they really neutral and independent or do they also need to cater to their funders? And do you think it is "political-correct" that almost every discuss I ever joined, would eventually become a "China fault beating" farce far away from its original topic? I spend many times time to explain what happened in China than state my opinion. How different is this way from that way of some countries in 1930s had ever adopted---"whatever you would say you are wrong because you are a Jew"?
  4. I think your comprehension is right. Even if prisoners can make good products, I think every countries certainly only have very low percertage of its population in prison, so its most products can not come from prison factories. About Laodong Gaizo, its Chinese meaning is "turning (a criminal or a lazy guy) to good by let him doing labour work", is Mao and his first generation communist leaders' "invention". If someone wants to know why Mao do some weirdo things, from western or even common Chinese piont of view, he must try to learn Mao's personal history. Mao was born in a mountainous town of a poor China province named Hu Nan(though it is not the poorest province). But his family are rich in his hometown and he was educated by Confucianism that means he didn't know western and its idea a lot. I once went there for some business and, of course, the main tour the host offered me was to vist Mao's father's bungalow. The building has a lot of rooms meanwhile I noticed there is a small room which have a independent gate from the main gate of the building though it is a part of the building just likes a semi-detached house but one part is too small. For curiosity I asked the tour guide what was its function. She simply told me it's a neighbour. It dazed me for a minute just as if you saw such kind of weird semi-detached house in your country you would also daze, then I understood that it was not a simple neighbour, it must be a servant's room...and the one who alleged struggling for poor people was actually came from a landlord family. But when Mao came to Beijing as a young man and hired by Peking University as a humble assistant of librarians, his little fortune in his home town meant nothing in this huge city and his self-pride of a village landlord childe fell into frustration. This was the point he began turning to Communism---becasuse he thought the "system" was unfair to people like him, I meant the peasants, and he would have to fought for a fair system. This is why Mao invented the Laodong Gaizao system. He though those Chinese who worked in an cosy office building at that time were some kind of dudes--contrasted with those peasants who worked under scorchy sun and produce corn like his father, he thought these dudes only producing tax bill on peasants for government to exploit them . So he thought that sending these guys to do some labour work was a good idea to lecture them how hard the live that our peasants had and it might turn these intellectuals into serving poor peasants and workers heartfully. This was his initial scheme. But of course, just like all "political-correct" things, it turned far different from it was originally supposed to be. The first variation was a merciful one. People only did some labour work just as common labour workers. My mother's father got one for several months since he was a former KMT government official, and then he was sent back to his original job to assist his illiterate communist new boss who was a retired peasant army officer and squated on the Sofa in his office to command them , just as he ever did to assist his former corrupt KMT boss who bought the sofa probably by grafting soldiers' salary. The second variation is also a merciful one. In the Great Culture Revolution almost all intellectuals worked in government department had to be in this one for no reason just because they were intellectures and Mao think they needed to taste the hardness of working classs. My uncle was a architect who was hired by army as a civilian specialist. He was sent to a one for a year and his job was making Mao's head portrait emblems. He gave me a lot of them and the bigest one, which had a blue plastic frame and scarlet crapy foil with about 4 inches diameter, my mother liked it and took it away. Several month later I found it in a drawer of a wardrobe but Mao's photo had been in stead of her photo--I think it was very offensive to such a holy thing at that time but she was also a woman so she did what a woman always does. The third variation is what Mr.Harry Wu got. But I thik he knows this more rather than I for there is not anyone around me who did as same as he did at that time. And the fourth variation, after Deng's market economic reform happened. The corrupt police officers has turned prisons into factories. In China, such activity is legal thouh torture, overwork and without pay are illegal but most Chinese believe such things happens in prisons though I think CPC are really tring to limited the illegal parts for it is not good for their reputation. Usually prisoners only can make simple goods. Several years ago, I bought a bag of fried peanuts from a supermarket, when I shared it with my colleagues after lunch, someone told me this brand might come from prison. I think he got such information from Harry Wu's website. But such thing did not bother any of us at all, for we all were fully aware that Mr Wu were safe now when he got a American passport, but if we all stoped to buy his fellow prisoners fried peanuts as his request, those corrupt police officers would not let those personer went back their jailhouse to sit around. They probably would be sent to a coal mine as miners--it would be more worse than to be fried peanuts makers. This is what I know. But in any case, just as you have figured out, such things are not relative with Chinese economy but human rights. If any country wants to boom their economy by prisoner workers, they have to throw most of its population into jail at first, that's impossible. In China, child labour is illegal. But there did have some criminal cases. The criminals run a samll factory in poor villages usually far away from cities and they use child, mostly were kidnaped, as their labour force. And in these areas, even if they have several policemen, they are just some local peasants who wear police uniforms, so they are easily to be greased to blind. But such cases are really rare, for even if the poorest peasants also have some kind of moral criterian. Other cases mostly due to the peasant parents have dead and the kids was adopted by a poor peasant relative who also has a lot of kids, or the peasant parents are very poor and have had too many kids, so they let their older child to do some work to help them to sustain family. But I also don't think there are a lot of such case. Most Chinese peasants are no longer very poor these years and most of them are also no longer have twelve kids in their home, so they can afford their kids to go to school. And I also don't think there are a lot of businessmen who want to hire illegal child workers for hiring adult peasant labour workers are not expensive in China and if they did such things, the cost of greasing police to blind may be far higher than the cost they could save from hiring child workers.
  5. This is entirely a lie. Where is the slave labour camps located? Considering China export hundreds billion dollars goods annually, this camp must be as huge as Quebec, but where is it?
  6. With regard to the topic of " Is slavery a good idea?, Could Slavery be an economic boon to Canada? ", I think slavery is not a good idea to Canada and it can not be an economic boon to Canada, now . And I don't think to encourage cheap labour workers is the way which can lead Canada to a splendid future though it may be still useful today. Globalization is a good scheme which was designed by western intellectuals and economists to benefit western people, not only capitalists. The essential of this scheme is to move most of low profit business to developing countries meanwhile keep the high profit part to maintain the high standard of living of western people. But it seems the scheme does not work perfectly because there are too many guys rather like to fight any changes than to make some effort shifting themselves to fit the new system.
  7. If you really want that I think there are a lot of places you can got one---for there are a lot of people who are starving to die all around the world, we can see that on TV all the day. But you will not get a slave even if the laws would allow you to do that and you would lower your moral criterian to have one. Keeping a slave in your home, I mean keeping a modern one by a merciful way just as Argus has suggested, not the stone aged one by brutal way, is more expensive than Argus thinks. You need have a room for him; you need afford him food and clothes; if he get ill, you must pay him doctor for you can not throw him out on the street; if he drives a car to buy something from a supermarket for you and hits someone, you need to pay all bill for him because he is your property; and someday he may have kids, you can not deny he has the rights even if he is the old fashion one 200 years ago, so you have to feed and sell his kids, that is not easy for there are a lot of guys like you are also trying to do the same thing. If you run a farm, you have to sustain all your slaves in winter though they have no works to do and if you run a business, you cannot cut down cost by dismiss them even recession happened. Though eventually you will find to employ a $8/h part-time worker is better to cut the cost---I think this is the main cause of that slavery system has died all around the world even in the poorest third world country. So there will not be a merciful slavery system can be existed by a affordable way. The stone aged one is "up" than the incumbent system from slaveholders' point of view. But if anyone wants this one, the problem will go back your original question: "Where do I get me such one?"
  8. I think you are mostly right. Usually when people corrected something natural or historical but "incorrect" according what they believed in with external enforcement, they were just creating a new kind of incorrectness themself. Just as those environmentalists, they push using hybrid cars to replace normal cars to save the atmosphere and are unaware one day they need to dismantle millions of poisonous, corrosive and explosive castoff batteries to save their backyards of their house. I think you have just forgoten to count yourself in the so-called lefties. Please pardon me for my mischievous comment on you. But wouldn't you think it is funny that someone who thinks the time of white rule, which can be considered as some kind of white dictatorship from the black majority's view point, is better than the democracy of black majority rule that led to Mugabe was elected(he did was elected at first, just as you have pointed out) while he also thinks western countries would enforce every countries in the world into democracy at any cost even if that might let their minority suffering terrible lose? China for one, there also have majority and minority, I don't mean the ethical majority and minority. Let assume China is Rhodesia, the CPC chairman is Ian Smith, the CPC officials are white farmers, the CPC is Apartheid, those poor angry Chinese peasant are black, those gang mobs who burnt the police stations and CPC office buildings in Guizhou province are Mugabe's militia and I am, probably a Japanese Zimbabwean ---that means I m not awhites and maybe laught the whites' arrogance, but I just live better than blacks in this country just for my hometown is better than them since hundreds years. But some angry guys think we are better just because the white guys treat us better for our skin color not black enough so it is also a incorrectness which need correction---probably by violence if they gain power. If you standed on the ponit of my view, would you be very enthusiastic to let Apartheid/CPC down and instead them of the "angry" poor peasant majority rule just for it is political correct?
  9. I think some people in west do not know what games their politicians are playing. Sometimes I think Chinese politicians are more honest to their people for they do not need these people to vote them, so they likely tell their people what they are really thinking. Western politicians need their voters to vote them, so If they have not willing to do something or they have not ability to do something but their voters want them to do, invade Iran for one, they will deliver it to UN to let China or Russia refuse it---for they fully acknowledge what action China and Russia will adopt in UN. If they don't want attack Iran for fully knowing that will get another Iraq-liked mess, or if they don't want to make a sanction to Zimbabwe for fully acknowledge such thing is useless, they will tell media, which are equivalence of telling their voters, thay have done enought but something has happened. African politicians also play the similar games. They don't want to challenge western by themselves for their countries are too small so they let China government knows what they want China to do and China government knows it will get reward laterly such as to be eleced into UN human right something meanwhile America might be pissed off. I have told you that China has no longer aided anyone. What you mentioned are just trade, some deals. China wants oil while Sudan and Iran want money, so there are deals. Zimbabwe wants mortars or grenades somthing and those Chinese manufacturers want money, so there is another deal just as China wants iron ore from Minnesota to make the steel of these mortars and American wants money, so there is also a deal. Not exactly it is. In some aspect we are more brutal than western people, for from the political persecutions in Mao's time to peasants rioting happened in a small town of the one of the poorest provinces named GuiZhou recently . In some aspect, we are more civilized than those would-be civilized ones, for we have never, even in emperor or Mao's time, genocide Tibetan to make them becoming minority in their land, and for we also have never snatched their kids from parents to enforce "civilized" culture on them. And if you came China tomorrow, you would not need to worry about if you crash something in Beijing airport, the communist brutal police will tazer you for you don't know Chinese language to explain what has happened. I don't think so. Most of men are not gays just because women are different from men and if you perused every posts in this forum you would find that your so-called western people rather likes to beat each other than to beat china, just as the MBAs of Intel always like to beat the MBAs in AMD and ignore Wal-Mart. And of course, if you can read Chinese you will find that in those chinese political forums all those chinese political-correct guys, whether they allege that they belong to left wing nationalists or right wing democracy activists, are just doing the same thing exactly as their western congener. And the NATO or the so-called west do not unite effectively as you think. Mr. Harper telephoned Mr. Bush threating him by withdrawing Canada troops form Afghanistan for some reinforcement, and bush telephoned Zarkozy by threaning not to let French coming back the high rank of NATO members then Zarkozy agreed to send the best French soldiers to reinfore Canadian, but the Canadian commander in Afghanistan might not be very happy as you think----for these French soliders might mostly be, what the French are well-known doing best, the cook soldiers... Taliban is just a tribe army without any modern weapons and no significant big powers behind them. Even Iran does not back Taliban. If NATO can't get a victory in Afghanistan, why do you think they can get a cheap victory in tha war against China or Russia?
  10. The photo of rockets in the link looks like a kind of Katyusha. Even if they are missiles, I doubt their ranges would be more than 150km. Usually a long range missile takes the vertical lift off to go through the thick part of atmosphere as soon as posible for reduceing air-resistance and increasing its range. Only short range rockets take the declining lift off like cannons.
  11. I think what you would really want to say is such as "why dose China protect Iran?" I think such idea is a misunderstanding of the situation of the world. The reality is China have not the ability to protect anyone and it have not interests to protect anyone. China like most other countries in the world just refuse to join any silly probably effectless trade saction to other third world countries. China also refuses American efforts to make its wars of invasion of other countries legal and most countries sometimes include Canada do the same thing in UN. But such actions in UN can stop neither American nor Israel to make a war if they want a war. Could you tell me how many time the war that America or Israel made needs a UN warrant? If American or Israel can not attack Iran or some country they think it is a treatening, it must due to the cause of themseves, not due to they respect any UN's solution disaccording their interests. Did American invasion of Iraq needed a UN warranty? Did Israel airstriking Syria need China to agree? lol. I agree China government's way of foreign policy---if anyone wanted to affect others, he would do things of himself better first. And if I was Canadian, I would think that selling more Canada made goods to anywhere to boom economy and making Canadian less unemployed and live in happy is the best way to help demonstration of democray, human rights or other value of Canadian.
  12. Everyone cares about laws, just becasue everyone, no matter whoever he is, a emperor, a president or a pauper, knows he cannot be sure himself interests whether might not be harmed without laws. For example, a man maybe like complains police all the time for their stuped speed limits in some road or something, but obviously he rather like lives in a country with police than a monkey tribe without any police, whether the police is Canada police, Israel police, China police or Zimbabwe Police, because he knows without police, the symbol of enforement of law, everyone might overspeed not only him and one day a overspeed truck would send him to hell. But do we really think everone, in this forum for example, no matter of he or she is a "political-law-correct"journalist, a lawyer or a polic officer, do have never broken laws such as runing a overspeed car or copy several pages of a book with copyright in a library for his "interest"? A country is a set of its people, so it will have all its people's merit or shortcoming. A politician whether he is a president, PM, King or emperor can not do far more or far less than his people want him to do unless he don't care to be voted down or to be pull down by riot or insurgency. No, ironically it's kinda a compliment of them. Mugabe does better in democracy and CPC do better in economy, so the sequel is Mugabe is facing a sanction from western meanwhile CPC's chairman is now at the same room with those G8 western politicians include President Bush and Mr. Harper to bargain whether such sanction is "fair" or "legal" . By the way, Slobodan Milosevic did democracy better than Mugabe, for his voters let him down then he stepped down, so he ended up in a western prison, didn't he? The reality is really a sarcasm of those western "political-correstness-intervention" supporters. But Rue, instead of being a critic of all politicians and government, I strongly suggest if you would like to adopt some parts the thought of my way. I think I might be a shill of all kind of politicians and governments just beacuse I have the same shortcoming and disability in my speciality just as them in their speciality---political and policies. If I was a policeman, I might boast that I was the great enemy of all kind of criminals, but the fact is I always caught those culprits who were less insidious and let those who were more vicious at large just as politicians always caught Milosevic and let Bin Ladin at large. If I was a doctor, though I might always boast that I save patients life, but the fact is I always cured the patients who got cold meanwhile felt powerless to those who got cancer. I am an engineer, my mechanics professor lectures me his theory that safty is the most important thing of making a machine and his book will give me the best way to make a safe machine. I totally agree the theory of his book but I just can't design a car total obediently according his book because the buyers don't want there is a beam diagonally supporting his car's doorcase to make it strong. Of course, a driver may think a car without any doorcases like the cabin of F-16 jet is better on sight, and I had to tell him that according the book of the professor, the doorcase would be very important to save his neck if the car was overturned by an accident... Politicians are just like engineers, their speciality base on various theories and books of from human rights activists's to Wal-Mart's CEO's. Their duty is to compromise all these theories and requests not pick up only one of them. If anyone who sees the essential meaning in the example I assumed above, I think he will see that what you criticized is really the "political-correctness" and what you wished the politicians to do is actually the "theoretical"-correctness not "political"-correctness because "politics", exactly the policy of a nation, dose not subject only a certain single theory or book. And Mugabe for one, he is just a victim of his own "political-correctness . He think the reality of several thousands white guy owned most of his country's farms is unfair or "political uncorrectness", so he must correct it. But he just ignored he lacks his "own" qualified specialists and farmer to run the farms he confiscated form whites. This is his problem, this is why he is cornered. "political correctness" isn't good to any country, is it?
  13. Do you think that Canada did not join American's invasion to Iraq means Canada is a protector of Sadaam? Or Wal-Mart move its factory to China means western capitalists have become the best friends of China Communists? I think Chinese government does not want to join Western's effort to push UN making sanction to Zimbabwe because they think it is illegal according international laws just as Canada did not join the invasion to Iraq because it thinks the war is illegal. Those Chinese companies and businessmen who invested in Africa are just like Wal-Mart and its MBAs did in China, they did that for economic reason, not for political reason. Of course, I think there did have some political reason. Honestly, Mugabe at least did better than CPChina in democracy , his failure is just due to he did not do better in economy, and western politicans actually want China, a country which has not allowed any opposite parties' existion, to join the action of punishing Mugabe for his unfair to his opposite candidates in a election? In any case, Mugabe at least is a representative of a certain part of Zinbabwean not only himself. If western makes a sanction to Zimbabwe, his supporters probably will not withdraw their support from him because they benefit from his policy, meanwhile those who oppose him will be harmed more economically by the sanction because I supose they are the ones who have more economic ties with western, and eventually they will also go into opposition of the sanction once they become more and more disappointment of the effect of the sanction if Mugabe refuse to step down. This is why a sanction would not work in Zimbabwe just as it was in other countries. Ironically, a sanction seems only could work on a real democratic system not a dictatorship system. And even if we don't consider the vastness of the Galaxy, it is the fact that only few countries are really democratic in the world. If western tries to correct all others, that means western not only needs to knock down their dictatiors but also needs to fund people in these countries to a certain level of living standard and education to run the system, the cost of such action will be unaffordable.
  14. No, this is not my purpose. I just meant if a capitalist hires a manager to run his business and earn 1million dollars for the business, these money are still his money not the manager's, aren't they? I'm not sure I have correctly understood your purpose. It seems you think nationalism is the cause of Russian recent economy boom, but it is not the truth. I don't think Putin is a nationalist. As a Russian politician, what he did is what he is supposed to do----benefits his country's behalf even if that means harming Western interests. Did western politicians do same things to Russia, didn't they? Westerners should not suppose every Russian leader will be a drunkard who likely sale Alaska to America for a bottle of whisky. And according your post, I think it seems that Russian are more open-minded today than they ever were. In Brezhnev's time I occasionally found a Russian book about history of modern science and technology in my school's library. In the book the author, a Russian professor, tried to tell his reader that every mordern science and technology progress of human being are due to Russian scientists' ingenuity and creativity. This is real nationalism and such kind of arrogancy not the real threat of them to other countries made Russia a lot of enemies during the Cold War, I think.
  15. Perhaps it would be....but I think to any system, if it can be considered as a "system" that means it can exist several decades to hundreds of years not only several weeks, it must have a way to let those ingenious and industrious people to get success, so even in the poorest country in the world I don't think a guy who even has not $100 would have the ability to run a small business and repay the loan.
  16. Why they must care about this guy's nationality? If a E.T. with the ability of turning rock to gold fell on Canada, would you want to expel him to Russia for he has not a Canadian passport?
  17. I think it is very lucky to the common people who live in so-called west for that their scientists have not invented a superluminal spacecraft cruiser with the ability of flying over the Galaxy, because once this ship was invented, all "political correctness" guys, both from right wing and lift wing, would tax all their money into the holy wars against those political-incorrectness systems which exist in millions of planets throughout the Galaxy and eventually sell them to Zimbabwe to grow crop for African for repay the debts of wars.
  18. I don't think the attack is "unavoidable" . There are several things would avoid Israel Air Force attacking Iran. First, there are some technical problems. Israel pilots needs to fly at least 1,500km to reach the target even if they take a straight way, that means they have to fly across Jordan and Iraq territory, and after they accomplish their mission, they have to fly another 1,500km to come back Israel. That means their F-16 fighters have to aerial-refuel by several lumpy tanker planes in Jordan or Iraq airspace. It sounds very dangerdous. And unlike Iraq and Syria, Iran's nuclear facilities site in several different areas, so Israel can not distroy them by only one strike. If they really want to eliminate Iran's nuclear ability, they need a operation like the NATO's airstrike in Yugoslavia and correct intelligence. Second, If Israel attacts Iran, Iran will incite those Iraqi muslim who loyal to them, it seems most Iraqi muslim are pro-Iran, to rebelled America for they let Israeli fighter jets fly over Iraq airspace. So Mr. Bush would stop any attact for he didn't want the casualty would rise again at the moment he was leaving White House thongh he might want Iranian have a impression of the attack would happen for taking advantage in any possible negotiations. And third, Russia is a neighbour of Iran and they will benefit from the attack if Iran is cornered by America and its ally. And Iran is not a trifle small country which American can total ignore it turning to Russia. And I don't think Israel really wants airstike Iran. If it wants, it seems needless to let its preparation of attack going into media. Has anyone ever seen the news of the preparations of airstrike on Iraq and Syria from media before they really happened?
  19. Honestly, I think the great way to help third world poor people is to establish a WalMart factory in their country, which can help those poor, not very intelligent but industrious people to earn a decent wage, according to their country's criterion, and sustain their families. Of couse, meanwhile these factories's cheap products can sustain those western poor families and let them don't vote another CPC and knock down the "system". Clinton's proposal, "Lend money to poor people, so they can use these money to get rich, then they can contribute the 'system' more", is a theory invented by those western academic intellectuals becasue they have a faith or illusion of that everyone is just as smart and clever as them. But the reality is it is not. Does those poor in Canada to be what they are just because no one funds them to study a MBA to get a good salary? In third world countries, the things are the same---people are always to be what they would be whether they could get loan from a western bank.
  20. I'm not a faithful supporter of any kind of "political correctness", but I think there is still a positive function of "political correctness"---just for it can guarantee anyone who tried to say something different in this country will not be accused as a "Russian shill" and beaten by nationalists on the streets. By the way, it is not always the left wing's "political correctness" stumbles western. The right wing's "political correctness" made more messes. The right wing's anti-communistic and anti-Islamic Jihad of the wars in Vietnam and Iraq are examples.
  21. Democracy is not an almighty medicine which can cure any kind of disease. Considering the population of Palestanian is more than Israeli or will soon be more than Israeli (for Arabian used to having several wives and tens of kids), and the fact of lacking tolerance in these region, the "democracy country" you proposed would soon become a "majority ruled" Islamic country and Canada would soon have a new immigrants source in the world if it was not a refugee source.
  22. I'm not sure, would your "UN" mean the United Nations?
  23. Thank you for your honesty. I like to debate with people by a honest way. So western journalists could not suppose I'm the only Chinese who knows these especially after Russia collapsed with an honorable way and was mercifully treated by western country for they "free" something. I think this is why unelected politicians are still in power in China--just for they are immune from the lure of getting a Nobel Prize or being praise by western media.
  24. Democracy is a system based on the theory of that the political rights of everyone is equal. This is why it needs vote. But "pure democracy" system is very hard to established for that human being was "political rights equal" or "human rights equal" when man was created is a fariy tale. The "equal" is not the natural state of human being if anyone have ever been to a anthropological or archeological museum to see the hobby of those "stone aged people". The another cause is to run a country is a complexe business, the people who participate to run a country needs knowledge and abiblity. This is why democracy is not easily established in deveolping countries for they always has a lot illiteral peasants over-faithful religion believers who was easily to be manipulated by dictators, clergies, or western countries who manipulate these country by promising economical funds if some politican to be elected or enforcing sanction if other politician to be elected--this is why western countries always wants to enforce "democracy" to developing countries and most intellectuals in deveoping countries seem are "blocking" democracy in their country----if Canada is a country with 30 million illiterates, would you want those peasant sold Quebec or Ontario to America just for Mr.Bush would reward each of them a motorcycle and they would be praised by CNN? Lack of tolerance is also a fatal shortcoming in most of developing countries. Overpopulation and lacking of natur source, Majority rule would make circumstance worse for majority would deprive the minority economical(their political will have already been denied when the majority ruled) rights just like Mao's age in China (in Mao's time landlords are minority in villages and capitalists are minority in cities.) or genocide them(just like Germany, Yugoslavia, some African countries...etc.) Communism is a system based on the slogan of everyone have the rights of economical equal. It always fell into tyranny because rights of economical equal is also not natural in human race. As a member of animal, we usually care ourselves more than care others. And as a member of mammal, we usually want to pass our properties to our children not share with others. So communists think they need to get absolutely power to enforce those guys who are unluctant to share their fortune to other. And after they take the power, for they also belong to mammals, so they also begin to grasp fortune for themselves or their children like the former one have been knocked down by them, this is why they would eventually collapse---to China, I wish it happens when our peasant majority have more tolerance to treat those guys who are smart and industrious than them so regain rich after Mao's tiem and have the ability to judge what kind of system would benified their long term interests not elect a Chavez-liked peasant president to benefit their shot term interests.
  25. Please read the latest my response to bush_cheney2004.....I have become a western media's shill or perhaps a faithful believer. If the media you deeply trusted reported honestly the view point and evidence of both side not only one side to let readers to make themselves judgement, why would Chinese government need to send its message out by internet?
