But more importantly, i've been suggesting that those people in control are responsible. thats the whole point of the Geneva Conventions. to hold those accountable who are responsible for horrid actions. that would mean Hamas needs to be held accountable for civilian deaths but it also means that the IDF need to held responsible for civilian deaths. these are people who don't understand what human beings realized in the aftermath of the second world war, that the bombing of civilians does NOTHING from a military standpoint. its driven by human butchers who are driven by the rage of revenge.

i know that you're mostly right. that we're all here because of the endorphins we get from protecting our own models of how the universe operates. no matter how messed up those models are. and how little training we have in logic. these forums are probably a waste of time for some of us. populated by people who need to protect their view of the world so badly that their views are unmovable. god knows there are people who would rather die than accept change.

i may be too optimistic but i do think the truth can change people. on forums like this then we just have to concentrate on specific questions or facts... and just keep asking the same question over and over again. i've actually had people like relent and say "ok, well maybe i'm not correct here". the secret is in continuing to ask the inconvenient question over and over and in a respectful manner. and remember they will try to change to topic. they will try very hard. and accept their answers. these are people you are talking to. they deserve as much attention as anyone else. i would just agree with the OP. the electoral college is always a maze but MAGA has been on a federal losing streak since Trump became president. Democrats keep gaining on the popular vote ever cycle. and what seems rather confusing are polls that put Biden slightly behind Trump when you have Republicans who will not vote for Trump. that doesn't add up at all. something is awash in either direction. Almost half of Haley supporters say they would vote for Biden over Trump: Iowa poll as usual, Trumps problem is that he can hold the Republican base by the throat but that is not general populace.
