  1. That is my sentiment exactly and I am just too damn angry to convey it with such....eloquence I would be angry if the conservatives and reform did this back in the day just I am now.
  2. yeah, they didn't vote for an NDiberal bed buddy fuck fest though. The "coalition" would be an identity unto itself.
  3. You're right....and nobody voted for this "coalition". THAT IS MY PROBLEM WITH IT!!
  4. THANK YOU!! I think you nailed the cause of the global economy tanking!!! WAY TO GO!!!
  5. I VOTED 2 F'ING MONTHS AGO!! I am sick of having an election every year as a matter of political convenience or the lack of compromizational and mature, rational debate skills.
  6. More Canadian bullshit. A government was chosen by a minority of the popular vote...something as a Conservative I think is wrong. But i also think it is wrong to have so many parties splitting the vote. I most certainly think it is also wrong to utilize a "loophole" in the Westminster parliamentary system to essentially enact a legal coup d'etat and put a governing body in that nobody voted for. If this goes forward somehow I will be so god damned absolutely outraged...even the suggestion of it has my blood boiling. This sort of thing would result in civil war in some countries!!! But we as sheep will merely be content if the sun comes up in the morning.
  7. You can blame white man as much as you want but at the end of the day you have to look in the mirror and decide who is in control of your destiny. If you think I am responsible for your problems because of the colour of my skin...I am sorry...but I don't care about racists and they get what they deserve and live the lives they make for themselves.
  8. Please...NDP is a joke and the electorate knows it. Listening to an NDPer is like listening to a constant loop of Orphan Oliver begging and Gilbert Gottfried bitching over and over and over again.
  9. If "talking" and "believing" never resulted in any action then that would be perfect. And I do not believe we need to live in an Orwellian world. But you must understand thoughts and beliefs do manifest as actions. In a court case...thoughts and actions are VERY important. Nobody EVER gets tried on thoughts and beliefs in their own home until they express them publicly or act on them (thus obviously posing a risk). So...now that we are talking about being able to believe and say what you want in your own home...here is what I believe: They don't like this "dirty swamp"....go the f*** home. NOW. Nobody ever invited you here....but we welcomed you with open arms when you did show up. You don't like it, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out (and believe me...I would love to see it happen). If you would rather be riding a camel through the desert with a towel on your head wondering if you will be shot to death by warlords or die of thirst/hunger have at 'er. Let's see the thought police here jump on me for that one!!
  10. Actually...it is the lack of economic performance is reflecting the lack of superiority. Sucks, don't it? Ontario needs Alberta $$ soooooo bad right now it must hurt. I mean, the great and mighty Ontario...seeing droves of people running to the west because it is fading into insignificance in the new economic reality that is being realized in Canada. Crying to the feds for more money...booohoooo. The economic power is shifting westward and it hurts...damn nears cuts right to the heart...get it? Ontario = "the heart of Canada"....cuts right to the heart...
  11. Hahahahahaha....Hydraboss.
  12. Would that be THIS superiority? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...PStory/Business Or would it be THIS superiority? http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTV...hub=TorontoHome
  13. Hmmm...it is a matter of perspective. On my honeymoon last year we went to the US and my wife saw this house for sale and she just fell in love with it. Just for sh*ts and giggles I decided to call the number and get the price on the house. The house that was brick and by appearance and size alone I would estimate would be around 750,000+ here in Alberta was 190,000. Richer? You gotta look beyond just appearances. Then there are the exchange rates...which until recently was not nearly matched. Then there is the already brought up point of spanned out geography and infrastructure...and lets not forget how many dollars are spent fixing frost heaved roads that the US doesn\t have to worry about etc.. Also, you have to look at taxes...I make more than my American counterparts...but I take home less. This topic is very much based on a short sighted and seemingly covetted point of view
  14. You know, I am far from rich. But why should a person be taxed more because they earn more? And why should they be chastised for having the money to save money. I have never gotten any breaks in life. I have worked since I was 11 years old...started with a paper route of 27 papers and by the time I moved on to something else I was up over 130 daily papers. No holidays. Every morning papers were all delivered by 6am. Only 2 complaints ever...from the same guy because his paper wasn't there fast enough (which for him was 5:30 because of his work schedule). At 13 years old I was making over $400/month with tips...and Christmas bonuses...there was a perk. Well...it doesn't take much to figure out that if I was doing that at 13 (making over $5000 a year in the 80's) delivering papers why is there are people out there who can't do that today? Because we live in a welfare state with people who do not condone working for a living there are of course people who feel they are entitled to be paid...and lazy. There are plenty of opportunities for the disabled...and if they seek them I have no problem with the government using my tax dollars to help them out. Then there are the "poor"...quite often nomadic junkies. Beyond help. I mean..."Tent City"...hello?! Don't want to lump them all in the same....but if it walks like a duck... Anyhow...I know someone who had their school 100% for by the AB gov't because they had a handicap. You know what that handicap was? A leg was 1" longer than the other. Wow. He got his grant money and then dropped out. Where is he now? I don't give a sh*t. Point is, I just finished paying for my student loans. Now, I did get some forgiven by working hard and getting good grades. But what did he have to do? Nothing. It was given to him...woe is me to be "poor". Pardon me if I have just a little lack of sympathy for those who continually get more without having to do anything for it and then demand more. My wife and I work hard to provide for our life TODAY and our life TOMORROW when we won't be able to work. I just don't exactly appreciate people cheapening ambition and drive by getting the same for nothing.
  15. http://www.colo-earthfriends.org/kyoto.htm Kyoto was/is a sham. Anyone remember the ol' "Persuasion is better than force" cartoon with the wind and the sun trying to get the guys coat off? The wind couldn't blow it off...but the sun persuaded the guy to do it himself by getting hot. Same thing. Once the tree-huggers and the bureaucrats get their heads out of their collective asses and sand (and in that order too) and decide what the best method of going about it is, we will be all better for it. I am not going to ride a bike because some tree hugger in BC wants me to or because some dolt in Toronto who has never ventured outside of the GTA figures if they can live in the confines of an urban center and never need anything more than a bike or public transportation nobody else should either. And for the record, my wife and I both drive gas guzzling SUVs. Why? Cause so long as there are trucks driving around that look they could could eat a Ford and sh*t a Smartcar...I won't be driving one of those "smart cars". I am here. I am now. I am not concerned about the people 100 years from now as I am right now about me and my family. Don't force me. Give a reason to want to do it...not have to do it. So...like I said, persuade me.
  16. Sorry for the Chucklehead comment...it is just when I get stereotyped because I share the same conceptual belief as someone (note I never said fundamental) I do take offense because I am not like that. I don't push my views, nor do I preach. I drink, smoke and I swear...some in that order I am not perfect...and yes, my wife is free to tell me so. For the record, I told my wife I would be more than willing to stay at home with the kids (we don't have yet but are trying). When the time comes, I very well might be the one as she owns her own business and would not readily be able to take maternal leave and my job is a little more flexible...so long as I have an internet connection I can VPN and do all my work from home. Makes economical sense...as well as it jives with both of our beliefs that PARENTS should raise the children....not the state...and deffinately not some uneducated chainsmoking drunk (sorry...I know one of those who works at a daycare...had a kid too with FAS because she didn't want the baby and continued to binge drink....want one of those raising your kids? I sure as hell don't!). Besides, when your kid is screwed up...who do you blame then? Kids are not cattle. They should not be scuttled around like they are from daycare to daycare facing multiple levels of authority figures when they are still trying to figure out who is ultimately the ones responsible for their well-being. ANYHOOOO....enough on "daycare"... A good read on the topic... http://www.bibletexts.com/qa/qa078.htm Christianity does not condone such treatment of women. It was the men in the early centuries that brought this menality forth...and it continued for centuries. It was NOT Christ's teaching nor was it the writs of the New Testament. It was the twistings of men.
  17. Oh common...can't you see what they are telling us?! I will have to re-evaluate how I treat my wife...for I never once realized I am an oppressive husband. I mean, I told her "When you are ready for kids, let me know...I have been ready for a long time". I then also said, "If you want to stay home with the kids until they are in school...I 100% support that and we will make it work. But it is your choice". Oh...and I never realized that by me preparing tonights supper last night only to turn on the crockpot this morning was opressive....or for making a majority of the meals for that matter. I am a complete and utter prick. Maybe I should leave my church...because obviously since I am a Christian, I am a lousy husband! Then again, maybe it is just some chucklehead beaking off about something he doesn't understand.
  18. Really...I don't know about you but calling me a redneck or a hillybilly because I am Albertan is as bad to me as someone using the terms "dune coon", "porch monkey", etc.... It is wrong and it is hypocritical. Why is prejudice allowed in one context but not the other? This place is teeming with hyprocites.
  19. Hey paco...a good friend whom I grew up with was killed in Mayerthorp. The only solice in that incident was when it was over....it was over. There was no manhunt. There was no seeking justice. All it was about was seeking answers. So don't you tell try to lecture me. When they catch this guy, he should be hung. If he has no qualms about killing a cop, do you think he would have a problem killing your wife...or you mother? How about a rapist who kills his victims? Would you want him to get out in 15 years for good behaviour only to have those "urges" to come rushing back when he sees your daughter? I really don't care what you think of my "desire" to see the death penalty brought back. What you need to understand is that a majority of Canadians DO want it brought back. Choke on that. Even amnesty international admits that most Canadians want it back....but then they pull their "but we are superior" bullshi7 mentality. BTW...I am done grieving. I am merely filled with complete disgust for what has happened to society. And who is to blame? That doesn't really matter now does it, it is more important what can we do about it. And it seems people like you just want to hold a murders hand on his way to jail.
  20. You people make me sick. Now you are blaming the cops...
  21. Enough is enough. Bring back the death penalty to people who obviously don't respect the law OR life. Any bleeding heart that does not suport the death penalty should volunteer to be victimized themselves and/or for being so god damned noble as to assert their "morally superior" values. Peter was 25 when he was murdered. I have seen first hand what it has done to his family. I can only imagine what this poor 20 yer olds family is going through now. Hang the f'ing sob's who do this. Those little gang banger punks....do the same. Remand does nothing to rehabilitate...and 2 for 1 credit there sure as hell doesn't either. HANG 'EM!
  22. I Believe the Canada Act of 1982 passed by the British Parliament and the Constitution Act of 1982 pass by Canadian Parliament pretty much makes this thread irrelevent. Afterall...we keep hearing about the Statute of Westminster which those two previous Acts either negated or replaced it. Sorry...I better get back to my indoctrination
  23. when you enter a profession to help all humanity...except these people...and these people....and these people...and them too...because their lifestyle does not jive with your belief structure, you lose all credibility and do not deserve to be given the opportunity. In my eyes...can't be trusted. It is things like this which bring suspicion and dicrimination upon a group. Then again...perhaps that is the point. Cause then afterall there can be calls of racism...
  24. Uhm...no. http://www.transalta.com/transalta/webcms....BC?OpenDocument I usually agree a lot on what you say...but not this time
