Khadr allways catches my attention in the news.
Peter F replied to a topic in Federal Politics in Canada
ya sure, whatever you say http://www.mc.mil/CASES/MilitaryCommissions.aspx transcripts of the Omar Khadr case the sentencing trial begins page 4200 where the commision becomes aware that a deal has been agreed to and proceeds to sentencing in particular the psychiatrist testimony commences at line 19 of page 4360. Do read the cross-examination that follows. Its alot of reading but I will summarize from the Defence closing statement to the commission Neither his father nor family are/were on trial here. Omar Khadr cannot be held accountable for the actions/speach of others And yes, he has my compassion - Call CSIS. ah, was that his crime then? Embarrassing you? -

That is correct...and the americans very specifically decided that people such as OK are not to be granted the status of POW's ergo no holding to end of imagined 'war'. Incarcerated - charged with crime - tried is the proper way to go, as the geneva conventions require non-pows who commit crimes in areas under military jurisdiction. -
Ha-ha-ha. What morons! here's another who mucked up the range rules: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/story/2012/12/04/calgary-court-martial-verdict.html

Was it any good? well, kinda dry and scholarly. Not much excitement. No twisting of the plot or anything. But interesting in how the Hapsburgs pawned themselves off as intermediaries between God and their subjects; How many of them actually believed this to be the case; How they kept things in the family through intermarriage; The vast wealth; The vast expenses and the continuous propaganda machine to justify their place in society.

Another victory for the unions!
Peter F replied to CPCFTW's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Wrong. Unions have nothing to do with that. Its management that allows lazy and unproductive workers to work alongside and earn the same pay as harder workers. Unions cannot sack or discipline employees. Thats managements job. -
The US military doesnt provide any proof of alleged crimes either "This is a targeted, focused effort at people who are on a list of active terrorists, who are trying to go in and harm Americans, hit American facilities, American bases and so on," Obama said. http://content.usato.../1#.UK5UQjC71p4 Hamas meets the same standard as the USA in these matters. So whats your problem?

Whats artificial about it? Somebody wants a wind turbine and contracts somebody else to build one which they do. Then the builder hires a transport company to transport it to the buyer. Transport company does. Buyer hires installer who installs the thing. Thing works just like builder said it would. lots of money changes hands and moves around the economy. Where's the falsness?

I think you're onto something here. The strange thing is that those that don't want anyone of the culture with these abhorent practices would not let those most subject to these abhorent practices immigrate here because they come from a culture that has these abhorent practices.

Seems this terrorist scum couldn't be convicted of "aiding and supporting terrorism" because there is no such crime under international law. Certainly its a crime in the USofA but only since 2006 and not before. from "United States Court of Appeals FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CIRCUIT Argued May 3, 2012 Decided October 16, 2012 No. 11-1257 SALIM AHMED HAMDAN, PETITIONER v. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, RESPONDENT On Petition for Review from the United States Court of Military Commission Review" pdf file found at http://jurist.org/paperchase/2012/10/federal-appeals-court-vacates-hamdan-conviction.php

According to the Military Commission Trial the goal of his making and planting of mines was directed towards the killing of US military personnel. This was stated over and over again in the trial transcripts and at no time was OK accused of any deaths (anyones military or civilian) resulting from the mines he was accused (and pled guilty) to planting. The crimes of others should be laid squarly on the shoulders of the others committing the crimes. Not piled onto OK just because he's the only guy available.
