to answer the question I do think we are pathologizing normal behaviours. The labelling of everything as a "disorder" makes it easier for the drug companies to make a little magic pill to make it all better. Then in turn makes it easier for parents to "feel better" about Jonny's behaviour, it's a "condition", rather then diet, discipline, etc.,

and obviously no one is REALLY overly afraid of a potential Muslim reaction. Or why bother doing such a provocative stunt? I will also take note that the publishing of Harry Potter/Richard Dawkins or the movie release of DaVinci code/ Golden Compass were not INTENDED to offend christians, as this stunt is INTENTIONALLY provocative,likely in hopes of a ratings boost or advertising rates increase, whatever. That said I will reiterate it is clear, there is no fear from a potential reaction, or this type of stunt would simply not be undertaken As I already said, hoping the bait will be recognized for what it is, and not taken.

The reaction of outrage and quite possibly violence would be the same if Muslims did anything as provocative to christians. In fact, and point one could say that when certain movies and books come out (are produced) we have seen christians act with the same outrage and even resorting to violence. Think of the hulabaloo over Harry Potter, the Golden Compass , the DaVinci code, release of books which there was a news story in which Christians went into a book store in Britian and overturned the displays, I wanna say Richard Dawkins, but, I don't think that is correct. That is a western phenomena virtually christian against christian. Has there been any reaction yet to this? I don't know? I would agree. But keep in mind who initiates this type of garbage, is the worse for doing it. That said... Why do those on the "right" feel the need to be so inflammatory? Because it stirs up the unthinking masses so well, who can then just react in a foolish manner! It manipulates the emotions oh so very well. why else.? certainly not to promote, dialogue, or educate what's it going to prove? I wasn't referring to a market, I was referring to what seems to be some people over reliance on pills and operations to correct their own choices. A foolish personal choice, made at the detriment to one's own well being because of the misconception, some pill or operation will make you "better". In other words the ill conceived "easy way out". Why eat a balanced diet or exercise,when one can just take a pill .?
