  1. CNN is just a tool to influence oppinion and instill bias. how long did they cover anna nicole? benet ramsey bs? american idol? HOW ABOUT SOME REAL NEWS...I also have military documents stating that CNN and other networks need to act as force multipliers to sway oppinion and also distract the public from what was going wrong with the war. WHY did they leave vietnam? was it because they couldn't win? or because the public wouldn't let them, they didnt aprove. They feel that vietnam was a public relations disaster and is to blame for the loss, and they dont intend to make the same mistake. even when they do cover the war, it isnt about the war. we hear nothing about what is actually going on, or what needs to be done, or why theyre doing it. instead they glorify it.
  2. still the debt is HUGE. 400 billion a year in defence spending, and it gets higher nearly every year. its not justified by the % of GDP, it should be relative to the threats(russia=60B china=40B iraq=<5B). after the collapse of the CCCP the USA's primary focus is to be the sole super power. they do whatever they can to keep this hegemony and foreign policy dictates domestic policy. we can see this happening as i type this. they gain public support by usurping 9/11 and turning it into a slogan that brings back all the emotions we were made to feel that day. iraq no justification, and who cares? anyone who uses logic and debates against it is called unpatriotic, a terrorist, someone who wants to get rid of freedom. this is the farthest from the truth, for all who wage this war want the exact opposite, for freedom to be reinstilled continued
  3. i never said american were nazis, there were simalarites. and what was the debt of germany? was it more than the estimated 58 trillion dollar total US debt...?
  4. the REAL ID ACT, in the united states mandates that all new drivers licenses must have: -the full legal name -DOB -gender -drivers license or identification number -digital photograph of the person -person principle adress -their signature -security features -common machine-readable technology (could be RFID) http://www.epic.org/privacy/id_cards/real_id_act.pdf it has been passed, that you must have this new identification card to open a bank account, travel abroad by (train, boat, plane, obviously cars), to enter federal buildings, among others(will get citation). you can see how this can be an inconvienience. i think the personal RFID chip will either be marketed to parents, afraid of losing their child or marketed as a hastle free solution to the swiping of card and being checked by officials. theyd market it as a way to guarantee the safety of your child, which everyone wants. once the child has it he has no say, and will become accustomed to it and inturn allow for his child to recieve one aswell. the idea will assimilate into culture. and if thats not the case it will be marketed to make the card seem like such a burden, and that the chip is a solution. i dont think they could get everyone to submit to this all at once, would be more gradual
  5. I don't think there is anythin wrong with smoking weed, but like 2 year olds...wtf.
  6. "Hello, my name is _____ ________. Today I was traveling by Air Canada and on my boarding pass there was a "SS" under remarks. I have become aware that this stands for secondary search. I understand that in this day and age with the international threats that our national security is of the utmost importance and we must protect it. I understand that you most likely issue this "SS" label ,if in fact, you have determined the traveler as a threat, or perhaps you attach "SS" to the boarding pass randomly. To me, neither are problems. However I have difficulty comprehending how random the "SS" label could be when both my son, who is 16, received this label. Until I was in the plane I had no issue with being searched twice, for neither my son or I had anything to hide. However upon reading today, in the national post, I realized that these events are synonymous with the "specified persons list" otherwise know as the "no fly list" (ex. Cannot print tickets online or at kiosk, “SS” as mentioned above). This on the other hand concerns me. II love our country and would never harm it. If you can justify these actions please do, I would like an explanation." i send this to transport canada, as advised by air canada. still waiting for a response (4 days). im flying again tommorow 3am, we'll see if it happens again.
  7. but the other circumstances like having to wait in a line for a ticket manually and showing my passport, that none of the electronic printers worked for me, they worked for many others on the flight, who used the same machine as me (we tried all of them). and in the article this is what they describe the "no fly list as".
  8. I was flying back from NYC today, a little bit frustrated. My flight yesterday had been cancelled and the only flight we could get was at 8:30. To make it even worse we could not use the kiosk at the hotel or the internet to print our boarding passes. We kept on getting a message saying that they couldnt process it, we phoned air canada, their system wasn't down. We tried multiple computers to no avail. As I reached the the entrance of the terminal where the customs/search officers I was asked to present my boarding pass. She then took out a green marker and wrote something on it (not legible[i will scan it later]) and then took out her highliter and wrote with it over a section that read "remarks / observations and underneath it was SSSS". I then proceeded to the 1st custom screening, I put my backpack, jackets, shoes, watch, and ipod on the tray to go through the x-ray(is that the technology they still use?) then walked through the metal detector. No alarms or any problems. I then gave them my passport and boarding pass, and they directed me to a secondary search. No objections, this is what you can come to expect post 9/11 at airports. He frisked me. He turns on my laptop, ipod, cell phone, takes out nearly everything and searches through my entire backpack. He then takes my coat and shoes to have a closer inspecetion. After he frisked me. Still I did not care. It wasnt until I was in the plane and reading the newspaper, National Post A17 March 7, 2007 article Another non-terrorist added to no fly list. I read it (you can too if you have it, or ill scan it aswell) and it says that she wasnt banned from flying, she just couldnt electronically print her tockets like me. I then thought...that happened to me, and i got searched twice. Not because I looked suspicous, but because I had SS on my boarding pass. which leads me to the conclusion, it was intentionally put on my boarding pass, and my mothers(eliminating the possibility of random secondary screenings[flight of 100=2% chance]). It concerned me even more that my mother and I were the only people I saw that had walked through. I AM 16. I am not a terrorist. I have never once mentioned any method of implimenting views that I have expressed. Any of my political views I believe, or would like too, would benefit the entire planet. I was born in Canada, I love my country and would never harm it or its people, but what is this..?
  9. excuse me, but what is all that toxic carcinogenic dust that was released after they collapsed? those huge plumes rising hundreds of feet into the sky? was that smoke from the 4-19(dun make a differnce) story fire capable of producing so much smoke? well it wasnt smoke, dust collected. you can see it throughout the city, it accumated in the inches, there is no disputing this. now your argument is based on concrete doesnt have to be pulverised for the building to collapse, and that is your defense because you claim that the planes and did not exert enough force for them to fall at nearly 9.8 m/s [down] (freefall). Now engineer, explain the pulverised concrete that is evident in the dust. and show me a picture of a concrete slab at grounds zero before the cleaned it up. it was shut off right after, and coincidentally FEMA was there instantly to quarantine the entire area (i have read on 9/12 they were to be practising a response to terrorist attack). and also tell me why the vertical steel columns at the base would still remain, even though if there had been all that force on the building, it would have recieved a large amount, almost the highest gravity potential(right?)i pose that argument assuming that you know then when a building is demolished the amount of fource is minimalized, especially with modern techniques making it possible to demolish stadiums and 80 stories building safe in urban areas. and if your rebuttal involves WTC 7 or even if it doesnt, which should remain a part of this discussion just as much as WTC1 & 2, justify the amount of force that would of caused WTC 7 to fall at nearly freefall speed
  10. uh this has already been signed, it wont involve a war unless we resist. and why isnt free trade enough? why do we need to be within the same country? i see this as a non-hostile takeover. but think to yourself, why would they want to have canada and mexico join the US? because of our vast, vast natural wealthes, which will support the war machine, without the middle east. if you read CAFTA http://www.cafta.org/Doha_Goals_Oct_2005.pdf you can see where their heading with this(its slogan is "our future is global" and its trademark is a picture of north america, with the slogan above) i think we are going to be forced to enter it by a war, as in, we canadians are threatened, and opt to feel safer and get US protection.
  11. PN its very true. they appease us on all levels to near complete satisfaction. only near though so we are always looking to them for something else, some advancement which means nothing, that appeases us even more. we look up to them for everything, from healthcare to the distribution of food within the country. if this is interuptted there would be mass deaths. i dont know about the rest of you, but i live near toronto in a neighbouring suburb, and if the food distribution was interupted within about 60km + radius i dont believe you could live off the land. and not to pull the religion card but if you read the book of john, revelations it describes what is happening right now. revelation 13 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?(american peoples confidence) 5 ¶ And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (near the 1st term of bush minus when 9/11 occured, and bush "speaks great things and blasphemies") 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: Dan. 7.21 and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.(yes thats right, the people didnt care about 2 unjust wars, why is this idiot their leader.) 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life Ps. 69.28 of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.(aren't there many links to high level washington officials and satanism??) 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.(the next ones important...) 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: Jer. 15.2 he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.(we're being led into captivity people) 14 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (wounded=9/11?) 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (wow all that go against him will be slain? PN did you not just mention hearing about these mass murders? i wouldnt be suprised if they have death lists or something of the sort like the CIA gives locals to kill their own) 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:(microchips, already legal for human use, discussions about mandatory microchips are taking place.) 17 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ( the Real ID act in the US says that if you do not get a new state mandated drivers liscense, you cannot travel internationally or open a bank account...) ^ not meant for discussion just consideration^ the mayans also believe we are in a point of great chaos, and resettling of the world. it is called the End Time. it is either the next step for humanity, or if we continue being blindly led into captivity it will be hell on earth. its also interesting that it's not just these religions, its nearly all of them. this has been called the new world order you have heard it on tv probally in a newspaper aswell and on the back of the one dollar bill... bush sr mentioned it, reagan mentioned it, and gw bush mentioned it aswell
  12. i think its an interesting fact that UFOs have been written about for over 2000 years. its nothing new. and as for alien technology, if you look up the hutchinson effect you will see he has been able to produce very strange effects such as: fusion of different materials at room temperature (steel and wood), gellification of metals, fracturing of metals at room temperature, levitation of various objects. and best of yet, hes a canuck. yay and obviously there has been significant interest in this within the arms community about this technology. i believe he calls it Scalar Electo-Magnetism. when hutchinson visited europe the canadian govt sent his lab to lockeed skunkworks... on the other hand why would the aliens not communicate with us, and if they have, why only a select few? i firmly believe that given the size of the universe and how small and insignificant we are, in the grand scheme of things, that we cannot be alone. and most definetly there are higher forms of life as ourselves. however the chances of them being able to reach us, in my mind is slim.\ but hey wouldnt that be great if they did exist and didnt want to turn us into a subserviant slave race?
  13. argus, you realise that that 18% increase still brings chinas military spending no where near that of the united states? but i supposed 400 billion a year is justified when we're talking about fighting poor, untrained, non-mechanized terrorists? and i agree that many of those bad things go on in china, but compare that to the any time before 1990. are you condeming the chinese for reducing these occurences significantly and not abolishing them immediately? im not being stereotypical, well i guess i am but most would agree, asians are more patient than the west, they do not have the sense of urgency we have. and by their standards they probably see a HUGE improvement in their way if life. then again i just read this article on the subject, i think theyve improved but they have reached a plateau, which has the possibility to shift back easily, for lack of safeguards. http://hrw.org/campaigns/china-98/laojiao.htm
  14. im not gay, but if you asked someone who was "did you choose to be gay?" most would admit they were poweless in the decision. whether or not its biological or because of social experiences as a developing child, for the most part they had no say, just as if i asked a heterosexual if they chose to be straight. homosexuality happens in abundance in nature, with animals. and besides, why do you care about someones sexual prefference anyways? if you quoted the scripture in the bible that condemns gays, many would laugh. that angels came down and destroyed a city when they were not given the males, and instead the king offered his daughters... im serious people, thats why they believe that god doesnt approve of gays. and hey, did you ever hear about roman soldiers who recruited gays on purpose. homosexuality is nothing new.
  15. we think we are immortal and perfect, all empires eventually fall. however we have had many many years to prepare for this, as soon as ww2 ended it was obvious that the US and its allies would be asked to defend their global hegemony. a testament to this is the state of the art weapons technology, however this may not be enough. i think we have air superiority down, on lock down. we own the skies, and dont think we wont all be using f-22's, commanches, and jsf-35's by the time this war begins. i dont think we need to worry about any large scale nuclear attack, the majority of nuclear weapons stockpiled are only of strategic use for detterence. not to mention we can shoot down rockets with lasers, in theory, there is no reason why a larger laser wouldnt be able to destroy the ICBM. <--un-tested we will see the emergence of unseen weapons. like RAFAEL's TROPHY which detonates and any explosives launched at the vehicle equipped. it acts like an invisible force field, however it is only activated once a threat has been identified and tracked. this significanty reduces the weight of our tanks, by only having the need for bullet proof, not rpg proof armor. if it is put on an air plane, theyre pretty much immune to any attack. considering that most of our planes can outfly our adversaries in a dog fight, therefore eliminating the only weakness to cannon fire .THEL is already in use, it is a laser with a range of 250 km, can shoot down multiple incoming mortar rounds aswell as missles. the active denial system has a range of 500km and causes intense pain, however this is intended to be used by the police, not the military. and if this is whats unclassified and in use, imagine what they have in their secret arsenal. military technology is usually 15-20 years ahead of civilian technology. however the most important thing in a mechanized war is oil. i dont know how much nato has stockpiled, but i dont think its enough to last a war. i believe this war has already started. to sustain the war we will need to be fighting for oil at the same time as fighting our adversaries. the US already has military bases around the world in most of the oil producing nations. a significant amount in saudi arabia. PNAC identifies this very problem, and i believe that is also why we are in iraq. the middle east is our launching platform from the imminent clash with russia and china. however i do not believe this time we will be able to escape a war on the homefront. if china and russias analyst's dont plan on attacking through northern canada they dont have much of a chance. as we observed in ww2, because of our location, we were significantly less affected by the war compared to britain. if russia and china come through or north, we're screwed, well atleast canada. isnt like 75% of our population or more within 100 km of the US border? the north is a huge gaping whole, open for attack, that i fear we may have over looked. could they not push through our weak defenses in the north like a hot knife through butter? where will the opposition come from? i think for the majority of their march will be without fighting. however once we allow them into the north, they can then set up bases, airports, bunkers etc, and then we are really screwed
  16. what he said, you're disputing facts. and as for the canadian involvement in any scandal who knows. it was mere speculation, which could very well be true. however this is not an excuse for you to automatically refute everything else of value gotshacked has presented.
  17. if the conspiracy is true, which PN obviousy believes, the threat is very real. if you believed in the conspiracy, it would most likely consume your thoughts aswell, because IF it's true it is of tremendous significance. sorry PN if you consider this as me putting words in your mouth
  18. no offense taken sunsettommy, and btw im 16 so maybe thats why it comes off that way? and its interesting that you mention the closed vs open theory because i remember hearing that that water aswell as other minerals can come into the earth from space, i remember hearing this on coast2coast. i think it's definetly not all caused by humans and our biproducts. the earth goes through cycles, and this has been documented as far back as the mayans and zapotecs. {they believe we're coming to an end of the 4th recored cycle, and about to enter the 5th on dec 12 2001}-random, but interesting) but i still think climate change is happening, and i believe this isnt a bad thing, because all life evolved to its surroundings, and continues to adapt to survive in its surroundings. i think weather was the fundemental motivator for all evolution during early stages (in combonation with cooperation among animals-plants and competition amongst other species). if you look at our earliest forms of technology, we developed them to survive. we needed clothes, because it was cold. we needed weapons and traps because we had no claws or sharp enough teeth. we needed fire to stay warm. and since technology advancement is an exponential curve, meaning that more technology inturn produces more technology, etc, etc, we have reached the current stage we have now. and you can picture this exponential curve very clearly in your mind when you picture the advancement of computers in the last 30 years or that 90% of our technology came from this century. all in all, change is good. ^rant^ um i think chaos theory and the sheer complexity make it impossible to draw proper conclusins. wayyyy to many variables. but dont you think they can identify atleast a warming trend?
  19. i said i was no longer posting on this thread -.-, whats the point, maybe later ill get the citations but there are better ways for me to spend my time. DONE
  20. as for the "non-existent" genocide i added in just for the sake of sounding good.... "In 1965 Sukarno was overthrown in a coup d'état led by Suharto; [citation needed] much political violence characterised Indonesia under Suharto's rule. In a 1968 report, the CIA estimated there had been 250,000 people killed, and called the carnage "one of the worst mass murders of the twentieth century."[16] The CIA secretly supplied Suharto's troops with a state-of-the-art field communications network, delivered from the Philippine Islands at night by the US Air Force, its frequencies were known only to the CIA and the National Security Agency." 16 ^ Kadane, Kathy; see above. Time magazine hailed Suharto's "New Order" as "the West's best news for years in Asia." (July 15, 1966) "". Time. , Indonesia, 1965. CIA and State Department officials provided name lists to Indonesian army that killed 250,000. The Progressive, 7/10/1990, p. 9 Indonesia, 1965. Ex-agents say CIA compiled death lists for Indonesians. San Francisco Examiner, 5/20/1990 Indonesia, 1965-85. Death squads roam at will, killing subversives, suspected criminals by thousands. Blum, W. (1986). The CIA A Forgotten History, p. 221 Indonesia, 1965-66. In response to Kathy Kadane's May 21 article in Washington Post, Robert J. Martens responds "it is true I passed names of PKI leaders and senior cadre system to non-communist forces during the six months of chaos between the so-called coup and the ultimate downfall of Sukarno. The names I gave were based entirely on Indonesian communist press and were available to everyone. This was senior cadre system of the PKI few thousand at most out of the 3.5 millions claimed party members. I categorically deny that I headed an embassy group that spent two years compiling the lists." Washington Post, 6/2/1990, A18 "I probably have a lot of blood on my hands, but that's not all bad. There's a time when you have to strike hard at a decisive moment." So said Robert J. Martens, formerly a political officer in the U.S. embassy in Indonesia, as he described to reporter Kathy Kadane how U.S. diplomats and CIA officers provided up to 5,000 names to Indonesian army death squads in 1965, and checked them off as they were killed or captured. The death toll reached a half million or so. Kadane's article was reprinted in the San Francisco Examiner (5/20/90) and the Washington Post (5/21/90), but soon the New York Times checked in with a damage control effort by Michael Wines (7/12/90), which had the effect of proclaiming the end of the story. yes they may be brutal, but remember, most of the worst are cia installed. im not advocating anything that these criminals have done, however i think they would of been alot better off if we hadn't got involved. as capitalists, we do not enter a country to ever bring them freedom or make their lives better. as capitalist we enter a country to exploit it as much as possible for the most profit possible. we rob them of their wealth, force them to trade with us, supplying us with extremely cheap labour and commodities. for the profit of the corporations, and the $5 t-shirt at walmart, which cost .05 to make, and the workers get paid $30 usd or less a year. "Poor man. Thankfully, he was able to take care of himself pretty well, and all his palaces, and his murdering offspring" that doesnt change the fact that approximately 500, 000 children aged 1-5 died from these sanctions. how many did sadam kill? the us only wanted to get in for the oil, you think the US cares any more about the iraqis then sadam had? and as for him living well, is that a crime? bill gates has 46 thousand millions, look at the way he lives, and compare it to us. i know its hard to compare the two because they had it so much worse, but in essence it's the same thing. as for the murdering offspring, they probally couldnt of killed more than 50 people each. thats not justifying it, but compare it to the 500,000. in my oppinion saddams sons should be charged with war crimes, human rights violations w/e. and as for sadam, he is dead now. and the cia even used his assasination to destabalize the region evern further, escalating the ongoing civil war, causing a significant surge in violence. mind if i ask for the citation of these crimes of his sons? not that i dont believe you, but ive never read about the subject. Resolution 661 which imposed stringent economic sanctions on Iraq, providing for a full trade embargo, excluding medical supplies, food and other items of humanitarian necessity, these to be determined by the Security Council sanctions committee. After the end of the 1991 Gulf War, Iraqi sanctions were linked to removal of Weapons of mass destruction by Resolution 687.[1]. exerpt from resolution 661 3. Decides that all States shall prevent: (a) The import into their territories of all commodities and products originating in Iraq or Kuwait exported therefrom after the date of the present resolution; ( Any activities by their nationals or in their territories which would promote or are calculated to promote the export or trans-shipment of any commodities or products from Iraq or Kuwait; and any dealings by their nationals or their flag vessels or in their territories in any commodities or products originating in Iraq or Kuwait and exported therefrom after the date of the present resolution, including in particular any transfer of funds to Iraq or Kuwait for the purposes of such activities or dealings; © The sale or supply by their nationals or from their territories or using their flag vessels of any commodities or products, including weapons or any other military equipment, whether or not originating in their territories but not including supplies intended strictly for medical purposes, and, in humanitarian circumstances, foodstuffs, to any person or body in Iraq or Kuwait or to any person or body for the purposes of any business carried on in or operated from Iraq or Kuwait, and any activities by their nationals or in their territories which promote or are calculated to promote such sale or supply of such commodities or products; link to the full list of sanctions ----> http://www.fas.org/news/un/iraq/sres/sres0661.htm "This is certainly an interesting take on how a vicious, murdering bastard managed to stay in power by crushing his people under the yoke of his secret police and elite military. You evidently are quite fond of the fellow. Are you, by any chance, and Iraqi expatriate? Or do you just have a very odd way of looking at life?" he stood in power for fear of the oil being owned by the west. saddams open bias and horrible views on the world are inexcusable, but then again so are the united states actions. however both are in the wrong, they do no cancel eachother out. the iraqi's are the ones who suffered from both ends. and as you can see now ,it is becoming more apparent that the iraqi's were almost better off. now the citizens are subject to random campaigns on civilian neighbourhoods, in which they consistently raid the homes for search of terrorist related evidence, which they do not find. its also ironic that they're looking for terrorist related evidence, when they were there because of weapons of mass destruction. asides from the harrasment of the US, the more pressing issue is the civil war. a government, corrupt or not, is the arteries of the country. the US are backing the shia, and the clever videotape scandal, has pitted the sunni vs the shia conflict to a boiling point. it is clear that they were much better off before the US had ever seen them. Saddam was being charged with 547 counts of murder, compare that to the war. i dont know about you, but id rather live in a country free of bullshit sanctions that starve my country, have free markets, for MY OWN country to actually own its wealth and not have all the profits go somewhere else and have 500 people killed over a 30+ year reign then what the US is doing. "A few weeks later, he was charged by the Iraqi Special Tribunal with crimes committed against residents of Dujail in 1982, following a failed assassination attempt against him. Specific charges included the murder of 148 people, torture of women and children and the illegal arrest of 399 others." http://news.softpedia.com/news/Saddam-Form...ged-23683.shtml CNN etc has imprinted the image of a savage dictator hated by his people, and that everyone lived in fear, but now i think iraqis are as afraid as ever...
