  1. how about actually talking about how bad the patriot act is? and how bad our canadian counterpart, the anti-terror act is?
  2. wow you cant read im saying look at both sides because thats the only way you can find the truth. i asked people to keep an open mind, on both sides of the argument. "Every time I read some of this stuff I just shake my head" just shows how dire this sitaution is, im sure you only skimmed through, hence getting a skewed perspective of what i was trying to attempt to communicate. i said go 5 minutes into the video, not watch the intro and thats it...another one of your actions shows how dire this is. you discredit it because it has an octopus, mash theme song, and he has a nerdy voice? unbelievable and you, i know, believe all the official reports. so how come you dont care that the us was "training for an unconventional threat" from osoma bin laden, and did nothing to prevent 9/11. does that not make you question your faith in the govt? look it up on wikipedia, they even got the pic of the coverpage, with his picture on it and here it is http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6...Jun1-2-2001.jpg your very actions that you just exhibited are what i warned about in what i wrote, if you read it. and even more, i said i wasnt trying to change anyones mind, withinin the 1st paragraph man... thank you for making my efforts ever more valid blue
  3. if we kept on growing at the same rate as the 3rd world and living into our late 70's we would be much worse off. wouldnt we? they may have larger growth rates, but whats their life expectancy?
  4. i asked them, they said they were looking around, they left then drove away. im sure they just went to the next location to do the same. do you want your kids growing up on an enviroment like that? and there was no reason for it, if there was a REAL situation we would of known about it and the icon would be evacuated. i dont think that this in itself is all that bad, but whats next if we're progressing this way? i don't like it
  5. To all ye of the faith movement: To you, my friends and brothers, who do not believe this is happening to the world around us I challenge you to think as openly about the subject as possible. I am not going to attempt to change your mind, no one has the right to control what you think or do, instead I will try to get you, yourself, to change your own mind. There are many discrepancies within the 9/11 comission report, and many more discrepancies in most conspiracy theorists theories. We have come to a point in timewhere information is so readily available you can have an oppinion on nearly anything, and be able to justify it. Today it is very hard to come to actual conclusions, somewhere along the road you are bound to find a bump or pothole which leads you astray. This is true for both sides of this argument. Most people, and rightfully so, do not feel that they have the qualifications to make any of these decisions. To overcome this we seek credible sources of information, however as i hopefully made apparent, it is very hard to avoid a bias or propoganda. This means that to come to any conclusions, one must believe it him/herself , however these decisions are often based upon what one have seen on TV or read in the newspaper. The only way I have ever come any closer to understanding the ways of the world was by finding as many complimentary sources as i could, then objectively filtering out any discrepancies that i did not find in the majority of the sources. This is how we can come to conlusions, because believe me, there are MANY discrepancies in the "official story" (not just 9/11). However a discrepancy is not a warrant for a conspiracy, one must then repeat and purge through past information to find the truth. Today , with the abundance of information, fewer and fewer people are seeking it. I obviously do not have the statistics, but how many of your friends and families think outside of this manufactured bubble we live in. People are trapped, and content, to live within our given reality. Media gives them their oppinions, barely anyone actually looks up a story they hear from the biased news. It is this not caring coupled with the fact that the media and technology infiltrate our lives deeper each second that we do not think objectively for ourselves anymore. Many people do not want to have their own oppinion, support their own oppinion, or share it. They seek to become part of the norm, the standard. More and more are we forgeting what has elevated us to our current status, change/differences. If you look at any, that's right a n y, of our most influential people in history, they have reached that pedestal by one means. That means is the change, they thought differently than anyone else, and didnt change when the were condemned. From Galileo who was detained by the church, to Einstein who was considered nearly retarded (litteraly). However, more than ever, this is discouraged by society. In our minds we picture our ideal world as having to do nothing, having every possible thing provided to us without our input. Sadly, that also includes politics, travel, among other things. To me, this is where the pinnacle of this delusion culminates. We wilfully hand over the reigns of our lives for the sake of convienience, without thinking of the consequences. In my oppinion this can only lead to tyranny, and thats where i see earth within the next 50 years. Right now, what im asking of you, is for your mind to be as open as possible, for I believe our freedom is at stake. As of now, whether you believe or not, it makes absolutely no difference. Whether terrorists or a conspiracy organized 9/11, the events have already been set in motion and if we continue like this there is little we can do. I believe that with or without a terrorist attack, there is no way we should be in 3rd world countries waging war. And the truth is, conspiracy or not, wars are always about making profits, or opressing the free...for the sake of profits. If the US didnt benefit from Iraq and Afghanistan they would be out right this second as common sense, logic, and poles dictate. However they are making profits, significant profits, which they are not willing to give up. Some of you get around being fed up with Bush, and justify it by saying "he only has one more year". But remember, it's not bush, its the party and his funders, corporate america. However inaction is not part of the solution. Any neutral person is most easily swayed by other people, who have their own oppinions, which they latch onto at a time of crisis. I assure you that crisis's are imminent, and may not occur right away, however that makes them no less as imminent, only within our own minds. I'm not preaching the end of the world, however i hope that some of you who read this, when things start to change will remember. And act. If it's not part of the solution, it is part of the problem, and this is the one thing i assure you. -one day the power of love will overcome the love of power.... I encourage you conspiracy theorists to read into the faith movement, and I encourage the faith movement read into the conspiracy. It is only this way that we can escape this bias. "we will either learn to live together as brothers, or perish as fools"- martin luther king (i think) As long as you only look into one side of the story, you will always be sadly misled. The government seeks to divide us, upon every issue. They are firm believers of divide and conquer. Just look at your family life and compare it to that of your parents and see how different and closer it was. If they divide us, more and more, they dilute our oppinions, they dilute our say, they undermine our rights. two point i think has some merit towards the conspiracy movement (sorry for the bias) 1) opperation amalgam virgo: a military exercise june 1-2 2001. the situation was multiple cruise missle attacks or an attack from a barge. By guess who?? OSOMA BIN LADEN. this shows that osoma had already been deemed a threat, and the govt was aware Osoma was planning to attack the US. if they knew that, and there had been multiple warnings from other intelligence communites that there would be plane attacks, there is no doubt in my mind they were fully aware, if not funding or organizing it themselves. 2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI733CGmkhY 5 minutes into that video they have a episode of the Lone Gunmen on global (licensed by Fox) in which the entire 9/11 plot unfolds. including flying a plane into the world trade centers....THIS TRUELY BAFFLED MY MIND. i do not endorse anything else found in this video except for the amalgam virgo mission for i will not release or disclose to you information i have not yet had the chance to authenticate.
  6. eh ill retract my statements until i can look them up, verify them, then come to a conclusion
  7. the us as a whole is poor, however the corporate elite are VERY rich, and the govt serves them, not the people. the majority of all profits go to the already super rich. and hey, plz post criticism on my other thread that is actually based on substance and facts, not just me drawing similarities between 2 regimes. im no longer posting on this thread.
  8. i really wish you all would pay more attention to my other thread (central insurgency agency) that i didnt pull out of my ass cuz i was bored. i'll ADMIT this thesis is flawed, but i still see that there are similarites, not neccesairly connections. and thats all i was trying to do.
  9. ok, they are similarities whether you say so or not. thats all i was trying to show.
  10. once again i dont think any of you took the time to actually read what i had typed. you may be ignorant, but economically the US owns the world. for the most part the US uses black ops to carry out missions, either by funding/organizing a coup. when they are succesful we dont hear about them any more. the govt doesnt allow any reporting of the wars during them, like panama. the us only needs to call in its military when the cia fails. it's what happened in vietnam, the cia had been helping the french, and after they withdrew they needed back up. vietnam was a war to eat up US resources, supported by the communists. only after they had concluded the cia were ineffective did they send in the military. the bay of tonkin incident is not fact. and they did the same with iraq and afghanistan. in both countries there had been attempted and succesful coups. the 1st gulf war was designed to get at iraqi oil, since it had been nationalized. the 1st attempted coup failed, then the gulf war. then 12 years of sanctions, to get rid of saddam, so the people would blame him and he would no longer be in power. then the US could come in and get all the oil. iraq invaded kuwait because kuwait stole iraqi oil by slant drilling, not to take over the middle east.
  11. i did write that. that time i actually took the time to use all my sources, notes, and terminology. dont think you are superior to me because you, at first, raped my thread "nazi-us connection" and if you think i didnt write that, you can keep on expecting more shit like that, cuz if thats what it takes i will. the reason why i wrote the nazi-us connection thread so fast is because of the results of this thread. i spent time, compiled information, and wrote a pretty damn good essay in my oppinion. but no one read it. no one replied. if peoples attention spans are too short to read the full story and to skeptical to allow any concise information to be made available in shorter forms what can you do?....
  12. yup if any of you BOTHERED to read it, your eyes would be open and attentive, not glazed over if all of you are to stuck up to look past the initial mistakes i made, then i guess i have learned my lesson. treat people as if they are idiots and not let them draw their own conclusions, and spoon feed it to them. i could write 15, 000 word essay for you, i would include citations, and properly formatted. but what would that do, none of you would read it. and i think all of the rebuttals i mentioned are valid and logical.
  13. ok ill take a warn, i thought it was in the worng place and wanted to move it because it wasnt getting any views or responses. and ps thank you so much for actually reading it (sarcasm) and they arent exact duplicates, this one has some added.
  14. 1. i wrote this in like 2 minutes, without referring to any of my sources or notes, thankyou white doors for bringing that to my attention. i would of elaborated more, but i feel a academic essay could be written on nearly any of the subjects i had mentioned. for the most part i am unfamiliar with formal writing and im hoping to improve. but lets not let this get in the way, i will begin changing it....right now. 2 "The people of Germany supported Hitler for the most part initially. so wrong on that count." when i said this i meant that it was not the will of the people that caused ww2 happen, but the will of hitler. hitler manipulated the people to get them into a frenzy, they were experiencing economic and social hardships, which hitler gave them a manufactured answer too. he promised security and prosperity after the war, and claimed that the source of all the problems were the jews. today us foreign policy is dictated by the elimination of this terrorist threat, the "war on terror". this time the US public wasn't facing economic hardships, or any significant problems which abolished there will to wage war. the public had no reason to justify an unjust war. hitler used a real problems and super-imposed a false doctrine upon them. the US public gave initial support for the war, and now support is dwindling. terrorism fills the same role as the jews did. WHETHER OR NOT you believe a conspiracy was involved, or it was a legitimate attack, the truth is the situation is being taken advantage of in the exact same way hitler used the treaty of versailles, the jews, and the reichstag. 3 "Nothing was done? The commonwealth and France (and others) declared war on Germany. How do you count that as nothing was done? Wrong again." this one is simply explained. i was drawing the connection to the appeasement strategy france and england had used to confront germany to the international reaction to the united states invasion of afghanistan and iraq. i meant to type Czechoslovakia, im sorry. 4 "Aryan. Yes they did. How does this relate to the US?" Once again i apologize for the mispelling of aryan, as i said before i wrote this in 2 minutes. i find that any post that is more than 800 words people tend not to read. this relates directly to the united states. the media in germany only focused on the german ideal, german culture, patriotizing heroes, and the war effort. if you watch any of the main media news networks in the united states like MSNBC ,CNN or Fox you will find the same thing occuring. american news only features american stories. they may release a 30 second clip about whats going on somewhere else, but even when they do that it is 75% of the time linked to the war on terror. the US worked with ex-nazis and learned how they manipulated the will of the people, and now (for a while now) they are implementing what they have learned. and if i do say so myself, they have been quite successful. otherwise i wouldnt be proving this to you, and countless others. 5 vote rigging? It has been legitimized over and over again. The democrats lost. get over it. whether you like it or not, not letting tens of thousands vote in florida affected the election. do you remember how close it was? the election was split 50.5% to 49.5%. how can you think those votes didnt make a differnce, and how in your mind is that not rigging the election? here in canada, if you remember correctly, the cbc was reporting that al gore had won. it wasnt until fox (owned by the bush's) began reporting that bush had won did other networks follow suit, not wanting to appear out of the loop. "These ultimately ended in a December 12 5-4 United States Supreme Court decision which ended the Florida recounts and allowed Florida to certify its vote, which was 8-7 among Florida electoral representatives and Bush up to viable January 20 tallies, and award its 25 electoral votes to George W. Bush. The nine members of the Supreme Court voted along party lines in the split decision, suggesting that partisan politics had infiltrated the nation's highest court." either way, this is still undisputed, as we all know supreme court judges are appointed by political parties, and have allegiances to said political parties. if it makes you feel safer, warmer, or happier to just accept that it wasn't rigged, so be it. it doesn't make a difference, we know have a "war time president" (his own words) in power. 6 "They spend 3.4% of their GDP on defence. And Who's GDp has surpassed the US? Are you lying or do you just not know?" once again, i wrote this without refference to any of my notes or sources. china has now surpassed the US in foreign investment, not GDP, but they are well on their way. but still, $400 billion military budget, is excessive. you may say its not because of the percentage of their GDP they spend, but it's all relative. the country that spends the next most money on defence is more than 4 times less, the 3rd most spent on the military is 10 times less. 7 "Money markets determine the value of the currency. It is a fiat currency. What is your point?" i guess there was no point to this. 8 "Point? Most European countries have a higher Debt/GDP ratio that the US. That is what economists use to see if it is a problem or not. Canada's was int he early 1990's. Much higher than the USA's is now. Were/Are we Nazi's? Does that make the EU a Nazi state too?" my point is that the US most likely wont pay off all of its foreign debts, i just dont think it's feasible. the US has 500 billion in circulation and 200 billion of reserves. so thats like 58 trillion divided by 500 billion, so like around 116 times more than there actual money in circulation, and approx 300 times more then their actual reserves. then again everythin is floating exchange rates now, is there some loop hole for them to get out of this debt? i wasnt saying all countries that were in debt are nazis, and im not saying that the US are nazis, just that theyre using the same strategy minus the jews...the US is in these conflicts to maintain their global hegemony, not gain one. that is also another key differnce. the US is still a reserve currency used by many nations, as soon as it switched from the petrodollar to something else, their hegemony is at stake. and believe me, they are willing to protect it (ex. iraq). 9 "haha.. good one. The media, especially the print media has a HATE ON for Bush. Obviously your knowledge of history is lacking. They are not comparable in the least." yet we are still at war, without public support. the main point is, the majority of the people dont read print media. the majority in the US dont read anything. they get their oppinions from 2 min news clips from CNN, MSNBC, and Fox which for the most part, are pro-bush, and if not pro-bush, still supportive of his international policy. 10 "Dude, get over yourself. You are not some sort of pariah that is saving the world. The one's that didn't act was the lefties. Churchill only came to power after the war started. But I'm sure you know that? It was Chamberlain." yes once again "my bad". i meant Neville Chamberlain, im sorry i just guess my association with ww2 and churchill is so deeply ingrained, because thats all we learnt about in school. i don't think im going to save the world, id like too, but its not all that realistic. i watched a documentary on the history channel (will find it) in which it was made apparent the allies had been warned several times of the hitlers intentions.
  15. once again, answer me with facts, quotations, and your oppinion is fine too, but it is not relevant. i cannot fathom how you think im in the wrong, frankly i dont care, but id like an explanation. i made my points, and he didnt reply, at all, with anything of importance regarding this subject my points were: -this is nothing new, no real relevance -internal combustion engines need to stopped being used, regardless of whether or not you believe in global warming -that we can see these trends now happening, just turn on the news kid. 8 feet of snow in upstate newyork, all the storms in BC, warmest year in recorded history, it was 8 until like mid jan in toronto, etc, etc, etc -that it does make sense to forecast, and adjust accordingly, to incoming-even potential-threats -if we all switched to green energy it would benefit EVERY SINGLE BIOTIC SYSTEM ON THE PLANTET.the only people who are to suffer from this is the billionaire oil barrons. -all companies forecast trends FOR EVERYTHING, and ACT UPON THEM. what is wrong with that? and the supposed slander didnt start until s/he didnt reply, and i still dont consider it slander.
  16. i think the US is doing the exact same thing as the nazis -their getting involved in unpopular wars, without public support, or int'l support -its like when hitler invaded poland, and nothing was done, same as afghanistan and especially iraq -the nazi's relied heavily on propoganda to muster the approval they could get, they became very effective and convinced the entire population it was worth dying for his aerian ideals -the nazis identified a broad category, which they cold blame for anything they wanted, the jews. america has now done this with terrorists, the majority of americans believe that it's not a select few terrorist groups, but the entire region. including all of islam, and peoples of the muslim faith -both Bush and Hitler came into power in unusual circumstances, the Reichstag and vote rigging -whether you believe it or not, the US is constantly stockpiling weapons just as germany had, except they've been doing it for 50+ years. to put this into perspective, last year the us spent 400 billion on the military, the next most spend was russia, which was 60 billion, followed by china which spends 40 billion. they spend 4x as much as a country whos GDP and foreign investment has surpassed the US... -both countries purposely devalued their currency, germany was infamous for hyper-inflation. right now the USD is worth 4 cents of what it was in the 30's. the us abondoned the gold standard long long ago. -both countries went into debt, Americas TOTAL DEBT is now estimated at approximetly 58 trillion. the federal debt is 9.7 trillion by itself. and the us govt owns foreign countries over 2.1 trillion -both countries used media distortion to their advantage, idealizing the "courageous" soldiers, the american culture, isolating the public from the rest of the world, and only reporting, for the most part, on the victories -neither country really knew it was happening, except for a minority, until it was to late. there were countless warnings to the US, Britain, and France of hitlers plan, YEARS BEFORE, and none of them acted. they had even planned a coup to get hitler out of power, they approached britain asking them to be involved in getting rid of hitler, churchill denied them. -both cases were preventable, but too few people actually knew what was going on in the macrocosm to coreleate what was going on in their microcosm. -both coigned phrases, like heil hitler, and now the war on terror, muslim extremist to use to their advantage to shape the minds of the public. creating a distorted image of what was really happening in the world. it created an evil picture in their mind, one they had to eliminate. -both of the populations submitted to fear, and became subserviant. the media in the US is solely focused on either american idol(im serious), fear mongering, or claiming they saved us from a potential bullshit attack -the leaders lied, and said the war was about protecting themselves. not world domination. -the leaders lied about the real reason for the war, whether its the war on terror, or nuclear proliferation. and its interesting to know that the US brought in many nazi officials standing for war crimes, to the us, to advise them. to learn how they were able to do what they did. Goebells admitted that most of his inspiration came from Edward Bernays books "crystalizing the will" and "propoganda". which, in detail, describe what Hitler did to get support, and what the US is now doing to get support. Bernays, live in the US until his death in 1995. he was involved with the united fruit company (evil banana republic creating corporation) and the american dental association in approving the use of fluoridization of the water. the cia learned greatly from the nazi war criminals, and it is now public domain that the US HIRED NAZI WAR CRIMINALS. "For example, current records show that at least five associates of the notorious Nazi Adolf Eichmann worked for the CIA, 23 other Nazis were approached by the CIA for recruitment, and at least 100 officers within the Gehlen organization were former SD or Gestapo officers."- Richard Breitman, Norman Goda, Timothy Naftali, and Robert Wolfe, U.S. Intelligence and the Nazis, (Washington, DC: National Archive Trust Fund Board, 2004), 377. the US learned from their mistakes, they know they cant take the whole world at once. since the 50's the US has been taking over the 3rd n 2nd worlds economies, instead of using military force, which would draw int'l retaliation. the US is now in the final stages of their plan, the only opposition can come from the unconquered countries, who in most cases, dont matter either way because theyre economically starved and the US would crush them, if they used the true force of their arsenal. the US knows they wont have public support with alot of deaths, so thats what theyve focused on. you now have something around a 98% survival rate if your found within 5 minutes. this means that the most important issue of the american public has been taken care of. we now stand on the brinks of this proposed new world order, mention by bush sr, gw bush, reagan, many military documents, and countless others. it is even written in latin on the one dollar bill. the question is, will china and russia, with the support of venezuela among other countries, attempt to prevent this? yes they will, history has dictated this outcome 100% of the time, now we can just sit and wait
  17. sorry i didnt reply to this earlier, buy you REALLY think co2 emmisions do not affect the temperature? it has been scientifically proven. seems like ur living under a rock. i cant wait til others read this, then maybe you will realise how badly you have been burned. the only quasi-defence or rebuttal you have given me is that quote...which you admitted yourself was from a forum. what is this forum? who is the user? and most importantly, regardless of what forum it was posted on, or the user who posted it, it means nothing. its sad that you think that is actually quote worthy...
  18. im currently in new yorkon vacation and im taken back at how different the city is post-9/11. to go on the ferry to the statue of liberty we had to take off our shoes, go through a metal detector, put any of our belongings in the x-ray machine. to go into the empire state building we had to do the same. except while we were on the observation deck we had a friendly visit from the local swat team. FOR NO REASON. this is unacceptable, there are little children around, and they walk in with helmets, kevlar, and assault rifles. when i was walking through the city they had a "police parade" where designated emergency response vehicles meet in a designated spot for heaven knows. keep in mind this wasnt just 3 cruisers...it was atleast 18, with 5 of them unmarked, a swat van, 2 paramedics, and a fire truck. when i was here 8 years ago there were no cameras, no there are on avg 8 cameras per block from what i've counted. all of this is conditioning of the people to submit to a police state, where martial law prevails. i see no other explanation. i ask new yorkers if it makes them feel safer, it doesn't. the worst thing is, no one questions this, they just assume its what can be expected after 9/11, not even realiing how utterly wrong it is. there is NO NEED of any of this, it is just a show of force. intimidating the people
  19. I consider all of your comments, up to now, of no value. If you don't respond properly, with more than 4 words, im going to give up on you, like im sure your parents already have....
  20. im getting peeved, either you're doing this on purpose, or you're a moron. if you OPENED YOUR EYES, IVE ANSWERED EVERY QUESTION BEFORE YOU'VE ASKED. i already posted this, but posting it again may actually help your comprehension... wow man you're such a hypocrit. ive voiced my oppinon AND ALL YOU HAVE WRITTEN, IN YOUR OWN THREAD IS : "LOL, You have no idea how little you rebutted anything. It is plain that you lack the skill to discuss civily. You offer slurs and insults. You are not worth my time. Pathetic." "So you offer no pointed rebuttal of the article itself. Whatever gave you the idea that I was a believer in the myth of global warming?" so i see you have also given no rebuttal, let ALONE VOICE YOUR OWN OPPINION. i asked whether you believe in global warming or not. and please, please show me the slander, sorry for trying to be a little less analy retentive. i thought maybe you were past a grade 5 level of reading comprehension, but i guess ill have to explain-point for point-my rebuttals. -this is nothing new, no real relevance -internal combustion engines need to stopped being used, regardless of whether or not you believe in global warming -that we can see these trends now happening, just turn on the news kid. -you havent even voiced your oppinion, nothing more than 5 word sentences.
  21. and just a little bit of history JFK adamantly did not want to get involved in vietnam. Ngo Dinh Diem did not want the war to escalate, he wanted the US to leave. THEY WERE BOTH ASSASINATED WITHIN 20 DAYS OF EACHOTHER and 8 months laters, there was war in vietnam.
  22. If any of you do the research (won’t be including citation yet) you will find that the CIA has been involved in numerous Black Operations. The CIA's role isn't just intelligence gathering, they are also used for black operations in which the US can't be held accountable, assassinations, coups, economic warfare, misinformation, provoking genocides, and for initially funding many terrorist organizations. However this is largely because of the American Publics unwillingness to sacrifice human lives for Pax Americana, or the neo-con doctrine of the Project for the New American Century. Americans cannot justify sacrificing lives for material commodities; whether it's gold, oil, COCAINE, or HEROIN. For the gov't to perform these "missions" they need to hide them from the American public, for fear of the non existent support they will get. Since 1947, and the creation of the National Security Act, the CIA spawned from this act have been waging these secret wars on the third world, forcing them to spread their legs and accept the inevitable raping by Corporate America. Documented Covert Wars Iran Guatemala Zaire Dominican Republic Indonesia Greece Chile Laos Cambodia Grenada El Salvador Nicaragua Afghanistan Iraq Vietnam It is essential for any country, especially a super power, to have a intelligence agency. But the CIA is far from only being a intelligence gathering community. They've sold weapons to Iran-Iraq, provoked wars, and killed millions of innocent civilians. The role of an intelligence agency is to prevent attacks and if not prevent, allow for the preparation of and most importantly national defense. However if you compare that to the current role of the CIA it drastically differs. The majority of the conflicts arise from leaders of certain countries trying to break free of US tyranny for the benefit of the country as a whole. A prime example of this can be found in an increasingly familiar country, that of Iraq. The British established Iraq as a mandate using military force. The British claimed this was because of fear of Nazi takeover or the possibility of the countries of {Baghdad, Mosul, and Basra} (modern day Iraq) to cut off oil to the west. The British then, with haste, gave power to the exiled King Faisal, any opposition would be crushed by the British army. The Hashemite rule lasted until 1958 when it was overthrown by a coup d'etat. The new gov’t threw out the Baghdad Pact and established friendly relations with the USSR. The US viewed this as very threatening, 5 years later there was an overthrow of the government organized by Colonel Abdul Salam Arif. Colonel Abdul Salam Arif was at first supportive of the Ba'ath Party (socialist) and then withdrew from the Ba'ath Party after he organized the coup and became president. Colonel Abdul Salam Arif was pro-US and abolished the past reforms of the prior governments. Suddam Hussein was next in line, when the gov’t was overthrown he became president of the Revolutionary Command Council. The CIA was usually the sole sponsor of the coups. Suddam reigned during the Iraq-Iran war and committed various human rights violations. In 1991 Kuwait was slant drilling into Iraqi territory, which is simply put, stealing. The CIA assured Kuwait and Iraq that they US would remain neutral, and the US began economic reforms within Iraq and sold arms to them. Yet when the Iraqis attacked, Bush Sr. said Iraq was poised to take over the whole Middle-East region and the threat must be neutralized. The truth is US, or any other country, would have reacted almost identically to the way Saddam had. Suddam was socialist and nationalized the Iraqi oil fields. This was a huge thorn in the sides of the US, France, and the UK who had previously controlled 95% of the regions oil. Bush Sr. jumped on this opportunity of public support to send troops into the region. During the war the US suffered only 150 fatalities while in Iraq more than 100,000 perished. This was a slanted war from the very beginning. The US used phosphorus weapons (incendiary rounds, banned by Geneva Convention) and mainly targeted the infrastructure of Iraq. The us bombed bridges, hospitals, food deposits, grain storage, water treatment plants, roads, etc. The US then exited Iraq and used their affluence on the UN to encourage economic sanctions. Since nearly all the infrastructure was destroyed Suddam Hussein could barely take care of his people. The US, in turn the UN, banned economic aid, financial aid, importation of food, and many more unjust and unnecessary sanctions. Among the "unjust and unnecessary sanction" the ban of water treatment materials are at the top of my list. After the Gulf War, and until recently, the leading cause of death in Iraq was diarrhea...solely caused by the imposed sanctions of the US. It is estimated that US economic sanctions are responsible for, conservatively, 500,000 deaths of innocent civilians. The US hoped that this would cause reforms in Iraq; they believed many would believe their propaganda, and that Saddam would be blamed for the situation and overthrown. However Suddam persevered, he established the oil for food program among many others attempts to benefit the country despite the sanctions. Suddam was to damn resilient, the people recognized how he had freed them from British, French, and American tyranny by nationalizing Iraqi oil. 10 years later Suddam was still in power, with no coup in sight, despite the sanctions, in despite of the western word. Iraq had not conformed and the US had had enough. The situation escalated 6 months prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq when Saddam proposed and started selling oil in euros. This threatened the petrodollar which, if other countries followed suit, would end the hegemony of the petrodollar and instate the petroeuro as the dominant currency for oil transactions. THE US/CIA HAD ENOUGH OF IT. Now it wasn't only the corporate profits which they were longing for at stake, it was also the hegemony of the US dollar. The CIA fabricated evidence, fed it through Psyops which spread the message to the military, and fed it through Public Relations to the news agencies. Success. The Americans had been conned into a conflict over non-existent weapons of mass destruction, reinstating cold war fears, justifying defence spending. The Americans got what they wanted: 1) Control of the nationalized oil 2) Destruction of Government, destabilization 3) Intimidation to any other countries that may step out of line. The US made the Shi'a, Kurd’s, and Sunni’s fight in a civil war for power over the country. While at war the Iraqi's couldn’t worry about oil. Does it surprise you that the US and UK now own Iraqi oil? Does it surprise you that there's a bloodbath over oil? I'll tell you it doesn't surprise me anymore, its what I have come to expect of them. This is just one example of the numerous operations the US has been involved in without the consent of we the people, with no declaration of war. As I said before, intelligence gathering is crucial for national security, but is assure you that's not what it is used for. These countries posed no threat to the United States, they were all 3rd world. When we attacked Iraq in 2003 they were under 12 years of sanctions and could barely get clean water or medicine, let alone defend themselves. These actions result in the needless death of civilians so we can continue raping the world for its resources. Devaluing the people and the countries of the world for the benefit of whom? I don't think any of you own sweatshops, plantations, or oil companies; however most of our politicians are involved in one way or another. It is Corporate America who is seeking to gain from these atrocities. And frankly, they don't care about us either; they send us to war to die the same as they send us to war to kill. Give them the time and the place, and we're next on the cutting block. and please please please don't think this is a one off. don't think it doesn't matter...it does. "In 1996, the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued a congressional report estimating that the clandestine service part of the intelligence community "easily" breaks "extremely serious laws" in countries around the world, 100,000 times every year."-document and this is the one quote I will cite for you. WAKE UP !
