  1. he said he would veto any bill regarding the withdrawl of troops. and cheney, thats a nice poem, but how is it relevant? and as of now, bush can literally do anything he wants(the patriot act).
  2. i have definetly noticed this. we just look at them and say "damn that shits retarded" and wait for it to trickle down to us... alot of people i know think americans are really stupid(no offense), and alot think they're being conned.
  3. i think the US influences Canada more than Canadians... and are you sure you don't work for the governent lol? "your post is stupid, you live in canada, you shouldnt care" followed by pointless discussion, because you were trying to disprove me then others posted, everyone but you took it for what its worth, and already had knowledge(atleast some) on the subject. instead of admitting defeat, you say "Start by getting the Stanley Cup back!" trying to instill national pride? like the stanley cup means shit... i know that you most likely dont, but still...your response is sooo typical of what they try to do to us. or maybe its just monkey see monkey do.
  4. well the children didnt die because saddam horded all the food and water for his swimming pool. the fact is UN sanctions banned UN countries from sending food, medicine, pipes, water filtration devices, etc. to Iraq. the leading cause of death among children was dirahea. i dont have the statistics, but do you really think a collapsed government, an ongoing occupation war, and a civil war are more conducive for life? like really think about it. they bombed powerplants, bridges, food depo's, basically Iraqs infastructure, which was already in shambles. once again i dont have the statistics but im sure they would support this, it's common sense. how could they be better off now? they don't even have their NATIONALIZED OIL anymore...
  5. who do you think those texans were? i have an inkling... and cheney SS isnt included... i cant believe you don't think the US affects Canadians, they affect nearly everything here in Canada, and therefore it makes logical sense to be concerned(especially with conservatives in power here). and still people, the 2.3 trillion missing. why no comment? it's ALOT of money. and even more recently that 12 billion cash flown into iraq that dissapeared. and i still think the % of GDP spent isn't relative. it should be based on other countries spending. does anyone agree? "who is we"...not gonna take out my spoon, your mouth tarnishes it
  6. everything becomes more complex over time. everything(almost) can be represented as an exponential curve(populations, technology, genetics). this is because there are more and more events occuring, which inturn affect others, which create new events(which continues enlessly). how does this article spell out the collapse of complex societies? if anything it shows us how humans have the remarkable ability to change their enviroment and external factors to allow for more life.
  7. germans thought they were fighting against the evil jews american is fighting against the evil "terrorists", which is gradually turning into muslims both are lies, both threats were convaluded. in both cases the public would not have the will to go to war without excessive propoganda. and with the whole education thing in the US...I was there on springbreak, and a group of teenagers i was talking to were pro bush. i told them there was no justification for the war in iraq, and it's FACT. they didn't believe me, or just didn't care. and i know they wouldnt look it up themselves. if thats not brainwashed, i dont know what is. i dont like to generalize, but i believe the majority of americans don't really know or have a scope on what is going on outside of their own lives.(NOT ALL) and with the police state that you adamantly dismiss, none of us are proposing it will just happen. it will be another staged or allowed attack on the US. what did you not get about FEMA being able to declare emergency(no definition) and control virtually everything? and btw the declaration cannot be examined for 5 years...
  8. well these weapons cost billions upon billions. the problem i'm stating is that the defense industry influences policy, funds political campaigns, and this inevitably leads to war. this bias undermines democracy, we're still in iraq despite some of the worlds largest peace rallies, dwindling political support, and around 30% approval for the war. you may say they're adressing these problems, but bush already said he would veto any proposal for troop withdrawl. u say they spend less % of GDP now, but was there GDP approx 13 trillion at that time? also, i agree back then they could actually justify it, the USSR was an EXISTING (opposed to non-existing) threat. now they are the sole superpower, and wheres the justification? terrorist funding is in the hundreds of millions, they spend 400 thousand millions... and we still see how ineffective it is, atleast let this 425 billion justify a swift defeat. instead it is mounting upon the multi-trillion dollar debt (58 trillion estimated total debt), which IMO won't be paid. the pentagon isn't even reliable, why have you not remarked on the 2.3 trillion UNACCOUNTED for(defense spending 425 billion) this is nearly 20% of the united states GDP...IN ONE YEAR. and i cant believe you're (content?) thinking that you have no control, and what ever happens happens. the government is supposed to serve the people, even if it hasnt been for the last few decades, its the way its supposed to be....
  9. ok that still does not make up the majority of deaths. they were anti-war protesters, u believe there was no bias? now let me ask you this. would any of this be happening unless the US unjustly invaded iraq? and is this civil war not part of their plan for unstability(only funding 1 religous group)?
  10. this isnt anything i even planned on discussing. the arms industry has taken control, and dictates our politicians and policy. does the us stockpile weapons constantly because they think they are never going to use them? , do you not even remember what the USSR was? and you think this day and age is less dangerous? THEN WHY ARE THEY SPENDING MORE NOW. he didnt warn about his present, he warned about our future. as for not caring or w/e you propose cause i dont have a vote, that just seems pretty juvenile. we remain powerless over policy because people think like you, shouldnt the people have a say if not control foreign policy? or do you (as they would think) think we are too stupid to meddle in affairs that concern us? and mikey, its not the man, its the information that pertains to today, how is it irrelevant? $2.3 trillion = roughly $8000 per man, woman, and child in the US
  11. are you retarded? if it pertained to canada i would post it in the federal politics section. however this is US politics, dum dum. you think because someones dead its irrelevant? he forewarned us, and the exact same thing is happening. if you watched the videos you would see. you have to be especially ignorant to not realise the fact that US policy affects the entire world. Yes even us...we only share the worlds largest border with them : | i hate people who need to be spoon fed
  12. We all know, or should know, that on sept 10th donald rumsfeld announced that there was 2.3 trillion dollars unaccounted for by the DOD. The next day sept 11th occured, we were swept up and many forgot. The fact still remains 2.3 trillion is unaccounted for, and after 9/11 billions upon billions are being spent. It seems that the military-industrial complex has taken over. There was no penalization, nothing. We were forewarned about this by President Eisenhower in his farewell adress. It is happening. watch 1st 2nd(Full version of eisenhowers speech) and if you find this concerning http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-49...&q=why+we+fight the above is highly credible. its 1:39 and it has appeared on both the CBC and BBC.
  13. well considering from 1990-2000 nearly 500,000 iraqi children died from my stated causes. http://www.casi.org.uk/info/garfield/dr-ga...nd%20Population and please tell me how war would make this anybetter, if not tenfold worse? plz show me the citation you have of "most of the terrorists killing children" thanks
  14. you think that is a good thing...? whats your stance :S
  15. anything that isnt 100% credible is a step back imo.
  16. wow i know loose change is shit. what do you expect from teenagers. but does one video ruin the rest? and those pictures of scrap metal, where the f*** is the pentagon?anyone? that doesnt prove shit and that website seems credible to you? its just as blatantly trying to sway your oppinion as loose change. no citations, anything. no backing. n-o-t-h-i-n-g i never believed it word for word, and i always research what ive watched. there are wholes in both stories, on both sides. and what does that tell us? ITS NOT THE TRUTH
  17. yes you're right, its bullshit. why would i want to be lied to? why would i want to hear about meaningless shit? why would i not want the full story? you cant honestly think they can go into any depth with the avg news clip 2 minutes or less. and plz give me examples of them actually talking about the strategy or whats really going on in the war. compare it to vietnam, ww1 & 2. then you can see how greatly inadequate it is. reporters must now be escorted, all their foorage analyzed.
  18. u know that people in Iran held candle light vigils on sept 11th??
  19. I AM NOT CALLING AMERICAN NAZI'S...STOP THINKING THAT PEOPLE FEMA is a disaster waiting to happen FEMA can now declare a disaster, with or without presidental permission FEMA has the authority to: Executive Order 10995: All communications media are to be seized by the Federal Government. Radio, TV, newspapers, CB, Ham, telephones, and the internet will be under federal control. Hence, the First Amendment will be suspended indefinitely. Executive Order 10997: All electrical power, fuels, and all minerals well be seized by the federal government. Executive Order 10998: All food resources, farms and farm equipment will be seized by the government. You will not be allowed to hoard food since this is regulated. Executive Order 10999: All modes of transportation will go into government control. Any vehicle can be seized. Executive Order 11000: All civilians can be used for work under federal supervision. Executive Order 11490: Establishes presidential control over all US citizens, businesses, and churches in time of "emergency." Executive Order 12919: Directs various Cabinet officials to be constantly ready to take over virtually all aspects of the US economy during a State of National Emergency at the direction of the president. Executive Order 13010: Directs FEMA to take control over all government agencies in time of emergency. FEMA is under control of executive branch of the government. Executive Order 11004: provides for the housing and finance authority to relocate communites, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for the population a bit excessive dont you think? and there is no definition for the "emergency", it could be a stock market crash, a super virus, another terrorist act, or blasphemies...there are many more executive orders that have already passed that allow them to take absolute control of the US. do any of you remember how hitler turned germany into a police state? executive orders, much like these. and if FEMA is actually funtional, asides to establish a police state, where were they for katrina?(then again thats a whole different topic)
  20. uh, sorry facts are facts. you think most of the deaths of children are marines shooting them in the head? no its "collateral" damage from the "fog of war". and at that, most are dying from malnutrition and poor healthcare and drinking water. not to discredit your marine friend, but is he so omnipotent in the battle field he is everywhere at once? and knows everything that happens in iraq? if he saw 3 kids dead, multiply that by how many troops is it? 100, 000 initially in 2003, probally around 150,000 now. and you get alot of kids, see the flaw in his reasoning?
  21. i also think its interesting that people always say "the jet fuel weakened the steel so it collapsed". <---what holds up their house of lies WOULDNT the impact instantly rupture the tanks, cause an initial blast, then the aviation fuel would puddle out. gas over that much surface area would burn off in minutes. paper burns at 451 farenheit, the office furniture, who knows, but definetly not enough to melt/weakend steel to the point of collapse. if u dont believe me, try it outside. pool some gas into a basin; ignite and time it. do the same but spread the same amount of gas over 10x as much surface area and time it. thats only for u idiots who don't realise that increases surface area=faster consumption im not that great at physics, but would 3-10 minutes of the initial heat from the aviation fuel even be enough to heat up the steel to the supposed temperatures?
  22. how about how banana republics f*** up the people there for pretty much eternity? so we can eat bananas at .80 a pound or less. its bad enough that they(chiquita, who else?) now hire MERCANARIES, but what about the use of DDT and other pesticides all the workers are exposed to? the main culprit is the united fruit company
  23. yes i do know that, maybe i should of put "common readable technology" in bold? the things that scare me is the: 1. ability to not open a bank account without the card with RFID 2. not transport ourselves (by car or any other means) without the card 3. not able to enter federal buildings without it these all violate our: guaranteed rights and freedoms fundemental freedoms mobility rights equality rights(need to have the card/RFID) and if you look at our charter, thats 4/8 of the headings... i know this is called the REAL ID act in the united states, and in Canada we have the exact same thing except we have little or no coverage on it. this was scheduled for may 27th, but has now been pushed back for 2 years. "until the end of 2009, to meet the requirements of the Real ID Act" http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h109-418 well atleast it has been pushed back..but its still in our lifetime. whenever i read about this i cant help but think of the book of revelations.... "16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." The Revelation of St. John the Divine 13 - 16
