  1. Is that outrageous or what? 320 hours a day court backlog leaving criiminals on the street, reoffending as we speak. Why? Because the CPC are checking party memberships files looking for anyone who belonged to the Liberal Party or donated to it ever to make sure they do not put a Liberal judge in. This could mean we never have the positions filled until we get a government change!
  2. Wrong - we will be serious trouble if we don't reduce world population radically by 2050. The trouble we can't do that so we have people urging us to chase after will-o-wisps called GHGs instead of looking at the real problem: too many humans. Why do we have to decrease the world's population, when we can reduce Carbon Dioxide emissions? And are you volunteering to reduce yourself, so others can survive instead of reducing emissions? Or just who are you advocating be radically reduced instead of emissions?
  3. Nice that Peter MacKay is over in Afghanistan trying to make the optics look good back home, after the mess of the Offensive Operation Medusa and in spite of what is actually going on there. And what is really going there that Mackay is trying to cover up, you ask? http://observer.guardian.co.uk/world/story...1984396,00.html
  4. What? This study supports exactly what they have been saying all along, did you not read the whole thread? Al Gore and The Sierra Club will be taking this report to the masses and saying; "see we were right". Carbon Dioxide, as produced by humans, significantly impacts upon the environment causing global warming is now a fact because of this study. Environmentalists will be taking this study to the bank, as the study also shows is that carbon dioxide emissions have gone up at least 90PPM/32% increase or as much as 320PPM/ 200% increase since the advent of burning fossil fuels for industry and transportation. That is in a 100years as opposed to millions, or even 10's of thousands of years, that the study shows global warming has previously has taken in the Global history with just naturally occuring increases in Carbon Dioxide only. When this study is combined with others, it will show we will be in serious problems globally by 2050, if something is not done soon to decrease emissions globally. Water shortages will be world wide, countries will be gone because of rising oceans, economies will fail world wide. The Stern Report out of Britian detailed all of this, plus more. And that Report was based upon solid speculation, not the concrete proof this report makes. Though scientific speculation has long been close to what this study found.
  5. Oh dear, this is reminding me of the NDP MP who got the mysterious fax from the RCMP during the last election campaign saying that charges were imminent against a Liberal for Income Trust breaches, something that never did happen by the way and the Liberals lost the election. Goodale was exonerated after the fact and NOW Zaccaralli the instigator of the phoney Income trust fax has resigned. Like the brief snippet quote of Canuck E Stan; "Charges 'weeks' away", now theres a propaganda ploy for those that don't actually read the links, which most do not and they wonder why they get a skewed view of the world. The complete quote there was: What is really funny is the RCMP allegedly phoning the Sun in the first place asking for their information. Even more funny after Greg Weston yammers on, is the bottom line: The Sun never wrote any thing about it in the first place. So yes, the RCMP are hot on the trail all right and charges are weeks away, just like they were 2 years ago now! The CPC is trying to: 1. make adscam dirt stick to the new Dion Liberals in order to try and frame the up coming campaign debates along those lines. 2. deflect away from their own 3.5 million dodgey convention donations while adscam is only 1 million 3. trying to appear accountable after bringing in their phoney accountability act
  6. No politicians can ever be charged, not for back then, not for the future. Because on Dec 13 Harper's Federal Accountability Act went into place, and it specifically cut key federal ethics rules for the Prime Minister, Cabinet ministers, their staff and senior government officials. Democracy Watch has launched actions against this travesty of the CPC's already. http://www.dwatch.ca/camp/BillC-2Analysis.html
  7. We have done that, and I've heard more bitching from NCO's about how we decided to go with subpar equipment from Canada instead of getting better equipment from another nation. There actually is nothing wrong with it, who's doing what, you are quite correct, that's what other nations do, and that's how they get their euipment to sell to other nations. But heck, who wants Canada to have a better economy and more job? Canadian blue please give examples of us doing that? And calling things subpar before they get made is unusual. And if they are subpar, they either have not be tested enough, or those military personal, whom you consider to be experts, do/did not know what they are talking about when specifying what was/is needed.
  8. canadian Blue, The USA National Archives are NOT opinion pieces please refrain from suggesting they are. Nor are the news clips that you admitted reading opinion pieces nor are the 100's, yes 100's, of links to offical documents that are linked to in my posts opinions. And it is not my hatred of the USA, it is fact. I suppose the Vatican hates the USA too as they spoke out against it? And your comments about other nations having human autrocities DO NOT factor into this discussion, you are throwing up a red herrings to try and deflect away from the USA's culpability with Saddam. At any rate I am done with this nonsense, the fact remains Harper SAID nothing and he should have.
  9. Yes canuck E Stan the weird weather was my paraphrasing of this comment from the report: Unstable climate change would be weird weather systems or rather if you will unstable weather systems. matter of semantics only. 2050 is not acceptable because something needs to be done NOW, not in 50 years. Just why would we wait 50 years tell me if we know this now?
  10. Acutally I think the author means that the CO2 Level as a whole is at 370 PPM. Not just the Human contribution. Even so at 90 PPM above the highest natural occurance in the last 400,000 years still means an increase of 32%. At first I thought the same thing and came to the 90PPM minimum increase too, but then I read it again, and thought perhaps it actually differentiated between naturally occuring and human perturbed.. He speaks first about the natually occuring levels range, and then juxpositioned that with humans perturbed level has already risen to 370PPM. But now having read it yet again several times I am not sure. Though either way the amount is significant, the 32% increase that 90PPM signifies is a astounding amount. However, if it is 370PPM on top of the naturally occuring, were looking at 200% imax ncreases and that is horrifying. Admittedly, I was/am more comfortable with the 90PPM and want it to be that.
  11. Because most people will see the massive irrationality behind them. You put the blame on the USA alone despite the fact its well know many European countries and the some Asian countries did more than the US with regards to bringing about Saddam. You did not answer my question "what wishes are you speaking of?" I have provided you with more than enough to proof to show that the uSA gave Iraq the money to buy what they needed from other countries, plus selling directly to Saddam. In that proof was also the proof that the USA brokered those deals with other countries for Iraq. And I have also proved that indeed the USA did more than any country to support Saddam. But heh, at least now you're admitting the USA had cupability, as before I provided indisputable proof, that really was for common knowledge, you said the USA had none, and that Jesse Jackson did not know what he was saying. Well, again you would be wrong. Even the Vatican spoke out against it! Plus the examples I have already given, and do not forget USA's alley Britian even spoke out against it. It is not just me, and saying so in the face of much evidence to the contrary is pretty partisan. Fox News Headlines were: FOXNews.com - European Leaders Speak Out Against Saddam's Death ... New Zealand Green Party foreign affairs spokesman Keith Locke is adamant Saddam's death will not improve the situation in Iraq. He says despite Saddam's reign of evil he should imprisoned for life, not executed. Brazil foreign ministry (Brazil) does not believe carrying out this sentence will contribute to bringing peace to Iraq. University of Chicago political science professor Charles Lipson This will be a public accounting for the crimes that he and his regime undertook systematically over many years, but sadly it won't do much, I think, to set Iraq on a path to stability. The nature of the internal divisions are too deep. Saddam's execution won't be able to set right the problems that we allowed to take root. Larry Cox, executive director, Amnesty International USA The rushed execution of Saddam Hussein is simply wrong. It signifies justice denied for countless victims who endured unspeakable suffering during his regime, and now have been denied their right to see justice served. Richard Dicker, director of Human Rights Watch The test of a government's commitment to human rights is measured by the way it treats its worst offenders ... History will judge the deeply flawed Dujail trial and this execution harshly. Come on Harper could have made a comment like that of France or New Zealand, and I would have been more than happy with that. As below: that was covered above blue, the uSA is the MOST culpable end of story, no other nations did worse. The links I provided had you bothered to read them more than prove it, especially the National Archives link. No, I have attacked Harper on remaining silent NOT Canada. And Harper is a fool and liar, so whats your point? And again you are wrong, it was pointed out to you many times that the whole of the western world was NOT as culpable as the USA, the USA alone was the driving force. Please read the National Archives link, before you comment further, as your stance has been proven to have no credibility. And I have only attacked Harper on: his lack of commentary on the world stage about Saddam's hanging, and for his wrong and misleading commentary in the USA media, when Canadians chose not to be involved with the USA and their illegal attack upon Iraq. Again, Harper had no right speaking on behalf of Canadians they way he did. He lied and had no legitimate right to speak FOR Canadians to the USA media, as such he misrepresented himself and Canada to the US public. I know you would like people to forget he did this, but it won't be forgotten. .No, it is/was criticism of Harper's historical actions and his government's current inactions, and again it is NOT partisanship to criticize the government. Besides so what if it is? Your support would then also be partisanship. canadian blue quite frankly, everything I evidenced, which indeed finally made you fess up to the fact the the USA had some (though they have at least 90%) cupability was/is for common public knowledge. Did you not notice how I provided post after post of linked evidence that grew stronger each time you questioned/denied? That was because I was showing you it was and is for common public knowledge. The facts are out there everywhere, at every level of society, from tabloid types of references to articles in news clips and government documents. One would have to literally be avoiding it, or deliberating ignoring it not to know. Why you chose not to admit USA cupability until you had no other option is unknown to me.
  12. No one is responding I would assume, from environmental peoples, because you are taking what the study is saying and spinning it to something different and no one wants to debate something that is non-existant in the study in the first place! Can't get much clearer than that can you? Carbon dioxide is indeed the major driver in any global warming scenario! Then he goes on to say: By human perturbed level he means carbon dioxide created by humans NOT occuring naturally. This means that humans are contributing an extra 370 parts per million, over and above naturally occuring carbon dioxide, and all since the advent of fossil fuel use in just a hundred or so years. What this all mean is: the increased carbon dioxide build up, this report says, is caused by humans, and in turn is causing accelerated global warming which will turn the world into a dust bowl 10's of thousands of years, at least, before it would have natually occured. The report IS NOT saying it would've happened or will happen anyway if nothing is done to reduce carbon dioxide. It is saying humans are forcing it upon the planet quicker than it would've happened naturally, as I said by 10's of thousands of years. Further it also saying that elevated carbon dioxide levels, and fluctuations in it, caused weird weather, and that means the elevated carbon dioxide levels caused by humans is causing weird weather today. If the levels were lower there would be less weird weather and less glacial melt.
  13. The only people that care are people who are so filled with hate, bigotry and venom towards Harper and conservatives in general that nothing would ever induce them to vote for them anyway. So your wishes are completely unimportant. What wishes are you speaking of? And why would they be unimportant anyway? It has nothing to do with hatred and bigotry and venom towards Harper and the Conservatives in general. Why? because you can't be bigoted about a political party and criticizing them is NOT vernom or hate. It's weird how some think criticism of the CPC government is those things. But when they themselves criticize, it's not a problem, it's their right to speak out against the governments actions. If criticism about your government is not allowed what do you have?
  14. In filling the posts, do you want someone who can do the job properly, or do you want a Liberal lawyer? That tranlates into: the CPC cannot find enough lawyers that have a bigoted narrow/biased view point to put into a judical position. It seems they would rather have criminals on the street then rather than appoint a judge, or rather 40 judges, who is not a soc-con. Now isn't that special, the very people who scream about criminals on the street, are making sure it happens by failing to appoint judges.
  15. It supports mine, I guess your figuring must be wrong eh? The date of January 3 is the date it was released the poll took place in Decenber too.
  16. NHL teams without a doubt. CFL is very different. No multi-million dollar player contracts. No huge television contracts. The tiny funding they get from Heritage Canada, in exchange for the Canadian flag stickers on the helmets is a reasonable use of sponsorship funding. Good point about the stickers and I agree with you for sure about them, I was thinking along the lines of building stadiums. As for the Olympics pffft!
  17. Environment: A whole industry can be made out of environmental changes that would sustain the environment and help the economy. First; with wind, solar, and wave means of developing power. Industries using hydo,or fossil fuels to operate, that release heat admissions as part of their processing could be tied to green houses and food producers in northern climates to grow produce closer to destination points or at destination points. I.e. pulp mills release huge amounts of heat that can, and is being used to heat green houses, and it could be done on a larger scale with investment and support. This would cut down gas emissions from transporting produce, which is actually significant emissions, utilize lost heat/energy into the enivironment. It would also cut down on food costs and road repairs. Put more money into recycling and recycling plants making the transportation and the separation more efficient. This is an industry that can gro faster than it is, there are many studies on this out there. Insure that industries are compliant with world environmental policies. Markets are lost because industry are not complying. Esp the forest industry. Encourage the use of rail transport over that of long distance truck hauling by giving incentives to companies than can use rail as opposed to trucks. There are so many ways. Health Care Get the College of Physicians and Surgeons out of the buiness of who says who can be Drs in Canada or not. Get more Nurse Pratictioners out into the out laying areas these would be in place of,or assisting Drs on a greater scale than regular Nurses can. Focus more on holistic health. Stop spending so much on administratative costs cut down on levels of admins and admin areas Regulate toxic foods and products better. Fund families so they can look after loved ones at home instead of institutions and hospitals Focus more on home care and put more resources there as opposed to hospitals and facilities. Have a national day care program so that health care professionals that work shift work can actually get child care to meet their needs. Take ALL money from the military and put it into health care, the environment education and treaty ratification. Stop corporate welfare at all levels of government. Stop paying seniors OAS who do not need it. And watch those who are on the cusp of not needing it to see if they go our of country longer than a month, if they do revoke it. Stop giving MP and MLA's pensions who are there shorter times than 10 -15 years. .
  18. No, I am not but apparently you are, why do you not post a differing view of margin of error that supports your premise? You can't, or you would've instead of accusing me of just putting links up that support my definition. Margin of error is just what it is. As the news papers and the poll analysists said they are basically tied in the polls. Then we could also use this one for about the same time frame: angus reid Anyway I am done when all you can resot to is slurrs against a poster RB, instead of putting up evidence to support your position, its time for posters to ignore.
  19. You never asked that we expand on them in your original question. You asked to list them. What would yours be?
  20. Well, it may not matter to you if Harper said anything or not, but it does matter on the world stage, and it does matter to Canadians just perhaps not those who supported the mess in Iraq in the first place though, but seeing as how that was a minority well..... Nice Cover up and yet Canada remains silent.
  21. As I said, they have an equal chance of being the lead and yes it is quite unlikely for either, seeing as how they are in essence tied!
  22. 1. environment and building a sustainable economy 2. anti-war foreign policies 3. health care 4. education 5. equality rights and freedoms
  23. And as I said, it could equally mean that the Liberals have a lead over the CPC, why you guys seem to think the margin of error only works one way in favour of the CPC I do not know. And as I said my statement of how margin of error works is correct. But hey, if you want to be right and national poll pundits and news media are wrong saying they are tied in the decima poll feel free to think that way. We all know differently.
  24. Maybe you are projecting your own ideology onto the RoC, as we, the majority, are not seething with racial tensions about to ignight between Muslims and Canadians. Good grief! Maybe your letter might cause more tensions than the show and be the flair up that causes it?
  25. I do but you do not apparently again I will post: Margin of Error www.nustats.com/Glossary.htm www.notrain-nogain.org/Train/Exer/Num/poll.asp As I said, the margin of error could be + or - 3.1 for either one. You have to always provide margin of error and take it into consideration when looking at polls. Face it, they are tied at best!
