  1. Oh, I guess you have not watched QP since the House has been back in, SCRIBBLET, the CPC, as was the case when they were in opposition have down graded the tone, sadly the Liberals are just as bad. The Bloq and the NDP are the only ones conducting themselves with any type of manners or honesty.
  2. LOLOLOL How about you show me where any other party in Canadian history has their MP and riding leadership end up in court with ONE being charged with attempted murder, or uttering murder threats? This IS NOT in fighting, this goes well beyond, must be all that nice Christianity!
  3. Oh no, no build up, eh? Why then are 4, USA Air Craft Carrier Strike groups on their way to the Persian Gulf?
  4. Guess the Republicans don't want the Democrats using there rigged electronic voting programs.
  5. What you believe is inevitable, I believe is unlikely. Furthermore, you fear it and I dream of it. Why do you dream of it if you feel it is unlikely? And what exactly do you like about a feudal system of overlords and serfs?
  6. Sure net income didn't increase considerably, but missing a million and bit of revenue is a serious issue. 539,915 + $913,710 and an additional $1.45 million in "other expenses." = 2.9 million that was set back to 2005. So let's take that 3 million off of the 19 million leaving 16 million they raised in 2006. 4 milion more than the Liberals, which is not a great deal when you consider the Liberals had raised the ire of their supporters and they migrated elsewhere. But really this is all past tense tense anyway. As the true indicator will be how much the CPC will now be able to bring in considering the division lines being drawn in the party and by how much the Liberals can bring in now that their supporters are landing their votes back with their party. Plus, how much of this is Oil payolya? As the CPC has of yet refused to disclose donation sources.
  7. Sure enough - not a peep out of the CBC or The Star......don't know it it showed up anywhere else. Actually, the CBC YVR and Global?, I believe, did run a small shot of the change, but you may not have wanted a fuller story anyway, seeing as how it had to be pressed, to get done.
  8. Things within the CPC have gone to the surreal, and it is incredible that these people actually are representing the face of Canadians. Shameful! Ugly Dirty Laundry, 3 pages worth in the article, and these boozos are running the country? Oh and apparently, the skinny on the oics, though the article does mention it is, the photos of the 2 women were doctored even. I hope the women sue who ever did it!
  9. Oh boy.No lets move the working , tax paying gays out . Some where a clock is missing its....oh never mind. OUT UNCLEAR SODOMITE! What's a "unclear sodomite"?
  10. I've said before, its not that they don't think it exists, they believe, and I agree, that we can't stop the earth's cycling, the best we can do is slow it down. The earth has always cycled, ice ages, warming etc. and as the population increases so does pollution. The earth will burn to a cinder eventually, they all do. Studies have shown we are no longer part of the natural cycle, we have artifically accelerated what would take 100's of thousands of years to happen naturally. What do younot see about that? The red hering of the plant someday burning up, is ridiculous. What is the estimate for that? Oh yes, several million years.
  11. They are an educated people. Learning about Ypres, the Somme and Vimy didn't stop them launching frontal attacks against entrenched, fortified positions. And besides, they are on a mission from God, they probably think Nuclear winter is the salvation from global warming Well, you're over looking the fact that GW et all think they are a mission from God too. And it would be GW et al who would be using actual, real nukes, as opposed to hypothetical ones 10 years in the future. So, by your rational, it would be GW et al who believe that nuclear winter would be a solution for global warming, as they are the ones actually going to use them.
  12. Canada would be in serious trouble economically and financially right now. You cannot possibly run surpluses, with the ridiculous level of social programs we have, without Alberta money. It's not possible. So I'd be careful before condemning the oil sands. They are the future for all Canadians, it may be all we have left at this rate. I would be careful about overstating the importance of AB to Canada. It actually plays a very small part of the tota Canadian GDP. AB would be hurt most certainly, how hard Canada would be hit is up for discussion. Oct/Nov 2006 amounts in millions All GDP industries 1,100,657 Oil and gas 40, 381 http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/gdps04a.htm And that is the entire oil and gas sectors in Canada and not just AB's and what is AB's portion of that sector? 12% or there about? Canada only gets a small portion of AB's portion of that amount, in royalties, it would not seriously impact the RoC.
  13. That doesn't necessarily follow. Nuclear weapons are a lot cheaper in the long run than having a modern army. On top of that, you don't need a lot of technology to deliver them. A howitzer will do. A scud even better. In a pinch, a freighter works fine. Besides, when your one tactical maneuver is the human wave, you really don't need modern technology to devastate the enemy line. Keep in mind that Iran being one half of the duo that sent over a million men to their deaths in a stalemate war, that they shouldn't be treated lightly. If they say they want to destroy your ally, believe them. If they thumb their noses at the IAEC, then there is a reason why they are willing to risk retaliation. I think the likely hood of them thwarting the IAEC and having peaceful intentions remote. My how easily you brush off nuclear exchange as nothing, and saying it would be cheaper is disengenuous at best. Anytype of nuclear exchange is going to imapct the whole world, and there is NO doubt about it. It may be cheaper monitarily wise, but not human wise. Thinking nuclear exchange is okay is a fine example of... Moreover, the Iranians who fought and died are NOT the Iranians of today, because of the lose of 2 generations, Iranian demographics are a young population, who are gathering more control and the mullahs control is lessening. These Iranian youth do not want war, and they want a democracy. And NOTHING Iran has done provides a basis for invasion.
  14. Funny I thought Global Warming didn't exist.... Oh well, at least there is going to be something finally done about it, instead of just denying its existance. I wonder how the regulating of industrial emissions will affect the oil sands? They are not going to regulate the oil sands at all, Layton asked twice about this in QP today, and they ignored it. This "greening" of the CPC is ALL rhetoric, and smoke and mirrors.
  15. Obviously, you don't understand the limits of military power. Additionally, where is the funding for strikes on Iran to come from? Where is the manpower to come from? The US Treasury and military is stretched to the limit and the American people are fed up with gung-ho armchair warriors who've watched too many war movies and are not themselves in the line of fire. Attacking Iran has nothing to do with being too hard and everything to do with it being just too stupid. The funding is going to come: 1. because they are manufacturing a situation where they say Iran is influencing the state of affairs in Iraq. And something "will" have to be done. 2. Israel, will undoubtably do the initial attacking which will prompt Iran into retaliating, once there is retaliation USA intervention will be a go. 3. The USA in its manufacturing of this, is already prepared and it will be a go within 2 weeks to a month. The Washington Note, had the Nelson Report of Jan 16 which said this: http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/2007_01.php Well, The Nimitz Strike Group, is not set to deploy until March 2007, unless it was deployed earlier. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/age...8-westpac07.htm It does not seem so as it is now Feb. But there has been another deployment. The Nelson Report linked above says: Jump ahead just 8 days, after the announcement Ronald Regan Strike Group was to cover the routine Pacific for the Kitty Hawk, to see what is up with them instead: http://www.c3f.navy.mil/press_releases/02%...n%20Deploys.doc Now, we have The Ronald Regan, under the title of the Command Strike Group, joining; The Stennis Group and the Dwight Eisenhower Group and they are also "surging" to the Persian Gulf/West Pacific. The Ronald Regan was only supposed to be covering for the Kitty Hawk on routine Pacific patrols. See the link above to see what else is "surging" with them. It would seem that a time table is being worked on that is closer in time than the Nimitz's March deployment. Also, according to Chris Nelson's military contact on what to what for regarding an attack on Iran: So, it has been increased to 3 Strike Groups, within 8 days of saying the Ronald Regan would perform routine pacific patrols, their mission and designation were changed, and nary a word is being said by the MSM. And they decided NOT to wait for the Nimitz to deploy, why? Here is why: http://www.counterpunch.org/cohn02012007.html They have to do this before Congress enacts any laws preventing it. Remember they are using the US military as a private militia for Oil and that is their only focus. And as of Tuesday, another, 4th Strike groups has set sail for the Persian Gulf, there can be NO doubt. http://www.libertyforum.org/showflat.php?C...umber=295232956
  16. It is purely an "elite" concern, not a concern of the common man. Please define "common man" and please explain, what you think should concern the "common man'?
  17. Your own stats contradict your statement. Johns apparently want anonymity - they would never get that at a regulated brothel. This means they would still seek out prostitutes operating outside the law even if the gov't regulated and legalized it. No, there are apparently bawdy houses where they are taking their trade to. So, how about making them legal? And why would legalized brothels not protect privacy?
  18. Oh yes, jbg, agitating against Muslims and promoting the illegal and unrighteous bombing of Iran is so much more important!
  19. So, Hiti. Obviously you failed to note that over $90Million has been raised, $60Million of which is PRIVATE funding by B.C.'ers, for the Spirit Bear park...To offer $30Million is chintzy to say the least. It's the Environment Stupid! Implying Layton's payoff is $30Million for Spirit Bear is really very silly. To suggest Jack Layton and the NDP could be bought off for $30Million by this government suggests Layton's NDP'ers have drastically lowered their price from the bribe they sought under the former government; Was it $4B or 6$Billion? First the sources, nor the Star reported it as a bribe! It was reported that Jack said prove to me your interested in the environment, and then let's see where we can go from there. Usually, I agree with Hiti on a good many things except her fascination with everything Stockwell. Not this time, she biased this erroneously, and is willing to play politics with the environment. Shameful. The NDP are the only party with actual bona fide Green credentials, and their commitment to the environment cannot be bought. In fact, I would say that their willingness to work with the CPC on this, shows exactly how committed to the environment they are. They are willing to sacrifice everything to bring in good environmental laws.
  20. As always, the CPC lowering the level of discourse in QP. Bringing their attack ad messages into the HoC is unacceptable. Notwithstanding are their lies, lies and more lies. Then their background heckling trying to drown out rebuttals of their lies took it over the top. As for the repeated attack ads talking points of "you didn't get it done" coming from Harper, after his calling Global Warming a myth and the stupid nonsensical Clean Air Act, is hypocrisy at its ugliest.
  21. except it was Prescott Bush doing business with Hitler and seeking to make America his ally Oh yes, the left never did a thing about Hitler, after it was George Bush's granddad who finaced Hitler. I noticed he skipped right of this truth, that pointed out the erroneous nature of such a comment. Like there are no people on the left in the military either! Talk about brain washing. http://www.counterpunch.org/cohn02012007.html
  22. Thanks for the DART info, however why wouldn't at least 1 be stationed on thw west coast? And are there really going to be that many chances to use 4 of them, or are we going full out military industrial complex war machine?
  23. Well, they are speaking towards it most certainly, but it isn't going to do them a much good by the looks of things. With 3 Carrier Strike Groups on their way to the Persian Gulf now, instead of just 2, things aren't looking to good on the Iran front.
  24. If ever a real hotspot or emergency occured it would take far too long for just one to resupply or reinforce. Of course the argument could be made then that 4 isnt enough either... each one has roughly 130,000 pound payload, with 4 you can get a pretty steady stream of supplies moving. Well, there is a difference between 1 and 4. Why not 2 or 3? 1 dedicated to Dart and 2 for the Military? And why all 4 in Trenton? Where is DART stationed at?
