  1. There is such a delicious irony in all of this, here we have a women, presumptuously thinking not only does she have a right to speak for ALL men in saying they are emmasculated, but she thinks she as a woman has a right to tell them, those men that are emmasculated by " other women" what to do about it. I suppose the convoluted thinking here is that, if a women says it is so, it must be, as somehow saying women would not tell men. LoL, betsy, really you are being a bit over the top in your insistance upon telling men that they are, being emmascualted, when they are telling you they are not.
  2. Those arguing that there is no Dominionist movement towards a theocracy outside of the USA, are insulting those they are trying to convince and they puttting to much store in their ability to try to deceive people through their stellar wits. But good to see you gave up trying to say it wasn't happening at all, now you're just trying to confine it to the USA. As if! James Dobson, Focus on the Family have committed followers and networks in Canada, as does Pat Robertson, as did Jerry Falwell, they have been trying to interfer in Canadian politics for a good long time. Canadians know about Free"dominion", it has been on the National News and in the newspaper. The Left Behind Series, has sold millions of copies here in Canada and around the world, Dominionism is well documented, there are literly 100's of books out there documenting it, theocracy implementation is talked about on 100 Huntley Street, Charles McVety has been a guest of the CPC in the HoC. Harper has the same handlers as the Republican Party. Protesting "nothing to see here" in the face of such prominent evidence literally everywhere, really makes those people insisting; "dominionists, nothing to see here" seem foolish on several levels. But on the other hand thDominionists ability to be self delusional, and impose self inflicted delusion, appears to have no bounds. Along with the unmitigated ego that insists on telling them they can try to fool others. Sure enough they try to "infiltrate" boards with their game plans; to alienate, infuriate, or to get people kicked off, all to further what they believe is their righteousness over others. How often through history have we saw what those people could do who felt the were righteous over others? We need only look at butchers of humanity from the religious sects over the centuries, the butchering monarchs who felt they could do want they wanted to the people who made their kingdoms work, to those who were just butchers like all the rest, but dressed it up under others guises like; Hitler and Nazisism, Stalin/Lenin and supposed Communism, and all the rest of crackpot cult leaders and dictators who butcher, or would have butchered, others, while they "gleefully" watch.
  3. Great post august1991, agree completely. industry already gets lower electrical prices than everyone else, they also get municpal tax breaks, and sometimes provincial. People forget when theyhear corporations whining for consessions, they really are all about maximizing profit margins in whatever way they can. Cross provincial marketing of goods and services, as well as products would do a great deal for Canada. The automotive manufacturing sector is really a bird of its own nature as it depends on massive markets, However, not many other manufacturing sectors require such a large market share to make decent profits. Canada used to have a huge garment manufacturing industry. So it was a good story about Cosco jeans. Nowadays "brand" names get just as cheap, if not cheaper, manufacturing of products and it is people who are willing to pay the hugely inflated prices for the ego gratification of wearing that brand name, and the status it represents. Brands name prices are really individuals paying for visible socio-economic positions, and thereby the attendant priviledged considerations that that staus confers..
  4. Well to be fair, one could say, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of National Defense, and the Ministry of Justice controllling the RCMP and CSIS, and oh yes, Harper's newly minted Homeland Security person, are failing to inform Harper adequately. But then one realizes that that is unfair to those Ministries to think they have failed Harper, as Harper is a micro manager and they are not allowed to think or say anything anyway. So yes, Harper's failure to inform himself, even to the extent of the President of Afghanstans corrupt government that is demanding negotiations, is jeoporadizing NATO military personell and Afghanistan civilians.

  6. I think you're onto something here!! Though I think that our dear pal Israel needs to be included into this list of patrons! With the latest (VERY convenient) Al'CIAduh related militants inciting fighting in Lebanon, one must ask the question: WHO benefits? It's oh so very nice of Al'CIAduh to appear exactly when needed! How lovely of a diversion to take the sheepies eyes off of Olmert, Bush et al - and concentrate them on the biggest boogey man of all time! Boo!! Excellent points both of you. It is good to see things even more fleshed out. One reason for the start of this thread is elsewhere on line in a military forum, I was reading the propaganda they were being fed that the CIA did not fund/train Osama Bin Laden, and that it was just a "lefty myth". What is even more sad though is that just last week the USA announced they were limiting internet access to their military personell.. It would seem that they want them fully indoctirinated and they weren't being so. Wonder if these new lies decrying CIA involvement comes on the heels of Cheney being in Iraq and making a speech to the troops where he paused waiting for for the handclapping and cheers, only to be met with stoney silence?
  7. I don't believe that any vote is a wasted vote. I don't believe that votes "naturally" go to one party or another. It is my opinion that such thinking is disrespectful towards the electorate. By natural I meant the environmental, and feminists votes.
  8. Good spin alexandra, but certainly inaccurate. Karzi just asked last week to have negotiations, for the first time.
  9. Don't blame it on our leaders, business goes where business feels it is welcome. The reality is that the US is our next door neighbour and the biggest market in the world. It's only logical that it should be our biggest trading partner and it is only logical that we would be interested in investing in each other. Stable governments, common language, short transportation routes that are not vulnerable to third parties. We occasionally have our differences but what could be better. Not having a trade partner trillions in debt?
  10. what is boring is the accusation that the lefties hate the cons.... it's the old neo-con trick of if you don't like our policies you're anti american to question the government is our right and only brainwashed idiots will call that" despising the government" Well its obvious alexandra has nothing better to do but watch forums and try to guess who they are why? so she can try to trash people, deflect away from the topic, as opposed to discussing the topic. Thought Greg was supposed to clean up the trolls?
  11. health canada and Environment canada should be listening to the Dr, and other health care professionals gthere, and looking at what they are saying, NOT standing up for oOil. Unbelieveble that you think these ministries should be covering up, instead of exposing.
  12. Quite obviously that is your personal opinion, as it has no bearing in reality, there are several seats nationally that are battle grounds between the NDP and CPC.
  13. funny kimmy how things change in just 1 short year heh? Last year when you people were busy trying to slander Jack with that title, for suggesting that Canada negotiate with the Taliban, you would not know a year later that Jack would become the voice of reason ahead of the curve, and that you all would look like fools, eh. It was just last week that Karzi stated that negotiations with the Taliban must start, to stop the killing of civlians. And we see how far the Harper government has moved on that, not a word out their mouths on Karzi's request. In the meantime, 30 or more innocent civlians were killed yesterday.
  14. geoffery your link doesn't work. Those figures margrace I believe are countries debt to the world bank. The USA has 8 trillion dollars worth of NSF cheques floating about.
  15. Thought we should revist Osama and al Qeada, seeing as how a convicted al Qeada member was sent home from Gitmo. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070520/ts_nm/australia_hicks_dc And this truth that should have been listened to, and I notice today elsewhere that some are trying to re-write history and say the US government did not train and fund Osama. http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO109C.html The above link has many more links, to congressional records even, proving that the USA funded Osama Bin Laden. And then there is this: http://www.proliberty.com/observer/20011005.htm Hint, there is too much evidence to the contrary for "the CIA didn't fund Osama" dog to hunt, only the truly wantwits would believe otherwise in face of all the proof to the contrary.
  16. http://www.rbcinvest.theglobeandmail.com/s...ironment/1/1/5/ Nice totalitarian action heh?! The CPC now the very apparent goons of Oil need to be gone.
  17. No actually, we will not suffer for long, if at all, should the US have to devalue its dollar. There are actually trade partners who would love to access many of the Canadian markets that are currently tied up with the USA. Manufacturing may be hit, but not resource extraction products, the back bone of the Canadian economy. Moreover, internal provincial trade markets may increase as well, with a collapse financially of the USA.
  18. The polls show that the CPC are down 6 points from their election day stats. And absolutely not sharkman, the NDP vote is the NDP vote, got nothing to do with the Liberals. And the CPC are actually bleeding off to the NDP, so much so we can expect seat loses for the CPC in BC.
  19. No, actually it isn't and it is on going. And I missed the discussion prior. But those who tried to debunk it, by linking the disengenuous CTV article comments by Lt.-Gen. Walter Natynczyk, apparently did not read the ACTUAL court transcripts of Noonan's. Nor the ones by the foreign affairs minister. Moreover, if our military brass is trying to lead us astray in some fashion to support the CPC's lies, we should be deeply concerned. http://www.thestar.com/News/article/210197 See # 56 of Noonans transcript pages 14 and 15. His official account does not equal the attempted spin by the CTV article. Nor does the foreign affairs testimony regarding the document they did not read. http://www3.thestar.com/static/PDF/070503_noonan.pdf This is why the HoC is still calling the CPC to account and so they should be.
  20. This poll is similar to the Ipsos Reid poll of May 14th, both say basically the same thing about regional breakdowns. The NDP and Greens are raising at the expense of the CPC. Will those GP votes stay parked for an election or will they naturally go to the NDP, when people realize voting for the Greens is a wasted vote.
  21. The blog and on line forum world is a buzz with this news, while most MSM proves they are coopted. http://www.thestar.com/News/article/210384 Now over at pogge, some more facts and commentary are going on. http://www.pogge.ca/archives/001563.shtml Now tying the fact that the CPC and Harper himself are lying is Jeff over at where'd that bug go. He has a great list of harper denial, in the HoC no less. Canadains should be ashamed that we have such a PM. Is Colonel Noonan the Taliban too Stephen? Way to go skadl you called it. http://wheredthatbuggo.blogspot.com/2007/0...allegation.html Now over at BnR, they have revealed another disquieting activity revealed by the Ottawa Citizen, this was during their attempt to try and smear peace activists in Canada, apparently the CPC could be planning to use CSIS to investigate peace activists in Canada. As a former CSIS levelled this comment: http://www.breadnroses.ca/forums/viewtopic...t=20503&start=0 This is all absolutely incredible and ugly behaviour by Harper and the CPC. They have handbooks to block parliament and how to behave like children, they lie blatently to Canadians, and are discrediting Canada at home and around the world. At one time only dictatorships and 3rd world countries blocked Amnesty International Inquiries. But NO here we have it alive and well in Canada. Brought to us by Harper and Co. Then over at The Galloping Beaver there is much much to be said about the mess the CPC are making regarding Afghanistan, but this really sums it up" http://thegallopingbeaver.blogspot.com/
  22. Funny, I never said they didn't fire all those rockets, reading comprehension seems to be a problem here for some. Hard to give someone an F when one can't read critically, or even coherently, eh?! No wild accusations when it comes to Frum slanting everything possible against Palestinians, while trying to make Israel and their supporters innocent.
  23. Another c- on spin and editing, you supporters of Harper just never seem to realize people do read your links. There is no point to our being in Afghanistan, our military, and others in the coalition are the ones killings innocent civilians. Unlike Darfur. And kimmy you get a F-, on the attempt at a smear that makes no sense at all, if Canadians were 'intimidated' by any 'militant Islamists' "who may get mad", they would not be overwhelmingly supporting assitance now would they? It has only vanished off the radar to the Harper et al crowd, quite obviously, and who hate the UN. It is quite evident the rest of Canadians have been all for helping while Harper and the CPC ignore it..
  24. Have heart figleaf, as soon as the CPC are gone, they will be investigated and held accountable. But just wonderful isn't, how they are playing holier than thou and running around investigating everyone else, except for their own blatent corruption and dirty tricks.
  25. Oh, I give David Frum, about a D- on the shabby article, that could actually be labelled race baiting. Let's have a critical look at what he says: "Three thousand rockets have landed in the past month; 80 in just the past three days. So far, damage from the rockets has been relatively light" Now, if the rocket launches are occuring for no reason, it stretches the imagination just a bit to think that Hamas has missed targets 3000 times. As they would be pretty incompetant to do so, even the law of averages would say in 3000 launches there would have to be significant damage done at least once, just by accident. It hasn't happened, even once, therefore Hamas is deliberately trying not to hit anything. But Frum goes on to say they "almost got lucky twice", as the school and the day care centre were empty. His words are nonsense. If they wanted to target them when they were full, they would've. There would be no accidental emptiness. Then he goes on to whine about the entrenchment of Gaza by Palestinians, as if they have no right to do so. Excuse me, but that land in Gaza, he is speaking of, is not Israeli land. There is also a newly elected Palestinian unity government that he conviently failed to mention. Having said all that, I do not agree with Hamas actions either, even though they appear to be fairly benign-- if indeed Hamas is even doing it-- as they bring down the air strikes on Palestinians.
