And do you receive on every 2, 3 and 5 days, and in multiples. I agree, call your LPC MP to complain. IF not that, then call the people whom you support and say, put a lid on it. You aren't the first Conservative to have that opinion. I spoke with some "reform era" pals of mine a week back to say I thought this to be a bit much, and they also didn't like what was being done, but believed it was effective and could give the CPC the edge. Then I received 5 flyers in a four day week.

I have 37 saved up right now. The majority from Rob Anders which stopped coming about 3 months ago, and then all the others started coming in. I wouldn't bother sending them back. I will be handing them to the Local Candidate at the Next election. He will explain the value of these to the tax payer in a public setting. I should have 70 or 80 by the time of the election. The coffee shops talk doesn't have anyone saying, yeah I like these. I figure the numbers I get, will have been delivered to every household.

Every two weeks I receive 1 piece of literature from the Federal Government. These Mailings have NO information and is nothing but using the government resources to influence their electoral prospects. I have no problem receiving these flyers from the CPC. However, the TAXPAYER is paying to receive these pieces of XXXXXXXX PROPOGANDA and since I received 3 on TUESDAY and 2 MORE today, after close to a year of this nonsense I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!@! :angry: I am sure everyone knows the xxxxxxxx crap that is on these flyers. Vote for Check one HARPER, LAYTON, DION or MAY with an arrow pointing to Harper. Like I said, there isn't anything on these mailouts, they are pure propoganda bull. If you wanted to send something on the governments behalf, BEHAVE like a government and not a POLITICAL PARTY. Now I see a trend, that people in my area have noticed the increased number of these flyers, sent from Western MPs all with the same format. I have TWO WORDS for the CPC in this regards. XXXX XXX

It sure does stick. Look from 2006 and you will see that Harpers rules his caucus in similar fashion. I am right, you are wrong, get with the program or get out. And when in the wrong, lie lie lie, deny deny deny and never give in and use/threaten litigation at every turn. Canvassing with a reporter is always a worry for a Candidate. Knocking on a strangers door and looking for a discussion or simply to say hello and drop of literature can lead to unexpected and sometimes very difficult engagements. That is why many events with the press are "stage managed". Even stage managed events can lead to undesired results. Particularly if you haven't been forthcoming with your appointed writer. Been there, done that and I still Got friends relatives active, and semi active (weekend warriors) whom are currently there. Would it be fair to say that the majority of those tours were in the 90s? That said, you might be interested in this. I think someone with your mindset would play a better role in putting pressure on the government. While it might be trite for a Liberal Senator to be speaking about increased military spending, it is the current government that is to answer for what is happening today. I have found a few bold talkers who want other people to do the heavy lifting. There is no/little sacrifice or contribution from the public or the "verbal" bigmouths for the conflict. I do not share your position on Afghanistan. I will not be reenlisting for that, although I can say, at times, it has crossed my mind for some strange reason, to enlist, go over, and engage in something I do not agree with. That's absurd. You have the right to question our military engagements. You can be a Canadian Citizen and not pay taxes and still question our military engagements. You can be of Voting Age and vote for a party that doesn't support various military engagements. You can be of any age and protest military engagements, freely in this country. Army Guy is well aware that I do not share his view that we are going to fix up Afghanistan, with the troop participation rate that we have. We could increase it 10* and the results will be the same. THe progress has been slow, stagnat and sometimes more regressive then positive considering how long we have been in the country. A country that has had no problem fighting, and defending its turf, has problems supporting its own government, and quite frankly, we do not trust the Afghan Army. If you cannot train an army in SEVEN YEARS to defend its government, you will be unlikely to ever be able to accomplish such a mission. It is folley. A new direction must be found. But to suggest that military excursions require 100% approval of the tax payer is pure nonsense.

I have yet to pay for an item with cash, and have someone force me to fill out their "questionaires" at the cash. Sometimes the cashier doesn't know what to do when I will not give them any information. I am speaking about just getting toilet paper or toothpaste, not fertilizer and gas if you get my drift. Here is the monies, you do not get my name phone number and address or email address. Sometimes its ok, others not ok. There is sometimes a puzzled look on the face, especially if the cashier is younger. They don't think there could ever be a problem with giving out this information. Ballots, eh, hmm. I will keep that in mind.

Which CPC MPs wish to be summoned? How many CPC MPs are tied to the In and Out Scheme? I would think that they all should testify. I also think that the CPC MPs who choose not to engage in the scam should be allow to speak. What is the point of not having those involved speak?

Regardless, it appears that this is a multi party race with the LPC candidate laying low and hoping his name carries him within the community. Long ways to the end, but I believe the CPC candidate will get past her mistake with regards to sticking to script and downplaying the Truscott question. As of now, more people think ST. Lambert is up for grabs, then previous results might indicate. And Westmount looks to be a Liberal Lock even in previous results and our own straw poll.
