WTF? what does protecting 'ecologicaly sensitive land' have to do with global warming? This goes to prove my point that the global warming nazi's are really going to do more harm than good to the environment. I agree 100% with this type of environmental protection. We need more land protected in Canada and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the GW hysteria.

Amalgamating the maritime provinces makes sense to me. Not sure about NFLD though. regardless of the loss of seats federally I think this would be an excellent thing to do for the region. Would this take a consitutional amendment to implement?

Why? Carbon is an inert gas that plants require to feed on. In fact, the link between CO2 levels and increasing temps is a dubious one at best. Has the planet been getting slightly warmer? probably. Will it continue to do so? No one knows, but Ice core samples say no. The ice core samples also show that the CO2 increased AFTER warming trends in the past which makes sense as the tundra thaws and releases more Co2. It really appears that Co2 is a symptom of global warming & NOT a cause. I think it's a shame because it takes attention away from more pressing environmental concerns like clean air, water and soil. The only good thing is that some of the carbon reducing initiatives will also, inadvertently, help with cleaner air.

Well I'd say that the soldiers on this forum and in this thread may just have a wee bit more of an understanding than you. One is just freshly back from Afghanistan. So it would be more accurate if you just spoke for yourself. ie: stop saying WE when expressing YOUR opinion. You are projecting YOUR ignorance on the population as a whole. Very self-centred 'style' of debate.

I don't get what satisfaction they get by attacking someone from behind when they are defenceless? If they were so tough wouldn't they get more satisfaction in beating him up in a fair fight? I just don't get it.

I read his columns as well and there were about 4 pages of the book that I had seen before. It's not really a rehash of his columns at all. Besides you could read it at the library. haha A weak critique if I ever saw one. He never made a prediction of 200 million Moslems in Europe in 13 years. All predictions I read were around 2050. He did say that the incresing voting clout of this minority group could have far reaching consequences in the near future. It's what happens when a minority votes as a block. Wether they will vote as a block remains to be seen. Also, alot of his 'demographic predicitons' weren't predictions at all. They are fact as they are already happening and continue to happen. You don't see large Italian and Greek families anymore. That has alerady happened this it is not a prediction.

This is false. Does that matter to you? The big scary conservatives paid down 13 billion in debt the last budget and will balance this upcoming one with significant tax decreases. Your anti-Americanism is clouding your judgement.
