  1. So if the bands are corrupt it is your position that it's not their fault, it's the federal governmnets fault for allowing it to happen? Do you understand how ridiculous that sounds?
  2. I'm not sure that anyone heading from Canada to the USA in search of a better life is going to qualify under the term brain drain. That said, both our countries are actively trying to suck the best and the brightest out of whatever country they are resident in, a sort of nationalist headhunting operation, partly because it is cheaper to import talent than to train our own. It's standards like these that the SPP elitists are missing out on. You obviosuly don';t think the USA is a good place to live? that's fine. But you shouldn't let it bleed into everything you have an opinion of. The USA is a large country and so is Canada. I'd rather live in Cincinatti than say, Regina. I'd rather live in Denver than Winnipeg. Simplistic thinking does your argument no favours.
  3. we have resources - why not sell them to the highest bidder? if that is the US then who cares? We should be getting top dollar for them and the market ensures that we do. your hate USA campaign clouds you to everything. what a delightfully strange life you must lead.
  4. YES. But educating the white man to what has happened and still is happening is a better policy, Your key word is motivator. Well' where is the motivation for the white man today to make amends? All I see him doing is still running around eating up everything in his path. As far as this boycot goes don't we as a canadian citizen have the right to protest in a peaceful manner as well, according to the Constitution Act of Canada we reserve that right. Motivator IS a key word. Where is the motivation for the FN's to help themselves and to get off the proverbial government teet? There is a problem with FN's today, it can't all not be ANY of their fault. Where are the courageous FN leaders willing to do some naval gazing? I don't see them. It's always someone else's fault - moreso that not - the white man's. I don't buy it and alot of other people are thinking the same way.
  5. Elizabeth is kind of hot. I think Rosie had a hard on for her.
  6. "White man guilt" is the background motivator behind alot of bad policy today.
  7. In the Stanley Cup Final, sure. But it's not that rare to come back from a 2-0 deficit to win a 7 game series in the NHL.
  8. Any idea how rare that is? Not as rare as you think. Edmonton did it against SJ last playoffs.
  9. You are paying more because the supply side is so tight. Refineries are at maximum capacity, our prices flucuate even when one goes down for maintenance. We haven't had a new refinery built in Canada in about 20 years, yet in that time our population has grown significantly. SOLUTION !!!! Build another refinery?? Since one has not been built in 20 yeqrs, we have been at a peak production rate for 20 years. Making the overall amount of fuel per person much less. Our population and use of natural resouces has definatly increased dramaticly in 20 years. Oh right, Big Oil does not want to build another refinery. If they would make more money from it, it would have been taken care of already. They are buildign another one in Saint John NB. but, never mind - you are correct - as you were.
  10. The Holocause is a FACT. Global warming is a theory, and not a good one at that. They are not even sure that man's activities are the cause of it. 95% sure they say. That is LOW for a scientific theory. very low. Your and others use of rhetorical hyperbole is doing your cause a huge disservice. If you can't make your case without invoking tyhe holcaust or the Nazi's then sane, balanced people are going to question what you are selling and you will have no one to blame but yourselves.
  11. Obviously my original prediction is gone but I still think Ottawa is going to do it.
  12. Mad Mike you are too easily offended. In trying to trim posts in accordance to the rules of the forum I have chosen to NOT quote the whole post, thus your name get's cut off. My apologies to your sensibilities. I am not, merely trying to provide an analogy to free will. If we did not have free will we would not be who we are. I inferred that humanity can be poison, it can also be very good as well.
  13. Did you ask yourself why people would think it funny? Perhaps it's because there are a hell of a lot of drunk Indians out and about? you sir, seem to be the one that didn't 'get' the point.
  14. It was NOT a joke, and she has 2 co-workers who are FN's, I find the underlaying bigotry expressed less than delightful. I think she's an anti-Christ Dominionist myself.
  15. You do know the definition of free will do you not? So, if your mother let's you out to play when she feels you are old enough and you come back with a bloody nose, it's your mothers fault? You do realize how silly that is?
  16. Not logical. God giving humanity a choice, including bad one's does not make him poison. For example, if you kidnapped a woman and kept her for years and she came to love you as she had no other psychological choice... OR you met a woman became married and lived your lives together, who's love would you rather receive? There is more risk in the traditional way as your love could be rejected, but the rewards are better. If there is a God, that is why I believe there is free will.
  17. and the owner couldn't see the delicious irony at all.
  18. you keep missing the point, post after post, day after day.
  19. You do realize that there is more than one strain of religious thought? Do you enjoy behaving like a simpleton or does it come naturally?
  20. If God created the world, and the world is poisonous, then yes, obviously, the idea of God is poison. But I'm under no delusions that the banishment of religious would make this world any less poisonous. Then therefore God isn't poison, humanity is. There is no logic to your statement. If God created the world and God created humans and the world and/or humans are poison, therefore God is poison. (I do have an MA in Philosophy, I can keep up this kind of logic chopping all day) Logical fallacy. You are making an erroneous assumption. You are assuming that God did not give humanity free will. Interestingly, religions the world over take pains to state that their God gave humanity free will. If I can poke hole the size of a Mac Truck in your arguments, you should protest your student loans.
  21. No, an Atheist believes that there is no god. Please substantiate your argument. As it stands, it is merely a naked statement of your own opinion. Please explain how a negative act (rejecting belief in God) produces a positive belief. Well since neither position can be proven, neither one can be shown to be either negative or positive. Your qualms with grammer and linguistics do not add logic to yoru argument.
  22. No, an Atheist believes that there is no god.
  23. If God created the world, and the world is poisonous, then yes, obviously, the idea of God is poison. But I'm under no delusions that the banishment of religious would make this world any less poisonous. Then therefore God isn't poison, humanity is.
  24. Perception is reality. Subjective is the only thing you can be. Nothing awesome about it. Rather mundane actually - tiresome and annoying as well. I think it's awesome. Margrace! A bane on Mad Michael's house!! See? That's awesome!
  25. you control the world with your thoughts? How truly awesome is that??!!?!?!?!!?!
