It's not just Bountiful. Ontario allready recognizes polygamous marriages if they took place in a country where it is legal. With all the abuse problems lately how long is it going to take for Canada to step up to the plate and crack down on this illegal practice. Or, will it not pass the constitutional test? http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/429490 TORONTO'S SECRET WORLD OF POLYGAMY excerpted:

When I read this, at first I thought it couldn't be happening in Canada, Canadians generally don't rampage and attack people , then I read further and realized it was old ethnic feuds alive and well here. What can we do to change attitudes and this type of behaviour? http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Crime/2008/05/...648481-sun.html Ethnic hatred blamed in cafe attack Furniture, windows smashed, three hospitalized

PM Announces Changes to Canada Food Labels

I don't understand your post, what do you mean the produce goes under factories and under houses, and exactly why would a government want this to happen - it sure makes no sense. Here's something from highliner, they say that the fish on W-5 SEGMENT is not one of their products. http://www.highliner.com/site/eng/art0044.asp Our favourite fish is tilapia, grouper and seabass, can't get that from Canada... -

Actually this has been going on for a long time with various study groups looking into it, I'm guessing people have had enough of contaminated Asian products. http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/news/s...c7-e690ac434a24 this one gives a bit more info. and states that the Liberal critic for agricultural affairs, Wayne Easter, supports the move. I heard recently about a problem with contaminated fish labeled as Canadian but caught and frozen elsewhere but could only come up with this. I will only be buying fresh fish from now and and asking where that is caught. http://www.highliner.com/site/eng/art0044.asp -
I'm glad to hear this, it's a needed change. Don't know why the Liberals don't like, guess they don't like anything any other party does. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories PM announces changes to Canadian food label laws cont...

Well, in that case I suppose we don't care about human rights (or lack thereof) in any country, who cares what they do. Maybe Canada should resign from the Responsibility to Protect doctrine. -
Talking about malicious and misleading - The Liberals apparently have knowledge the RCMP doesn't have, check out their web site, it's quite a piece - http://www.liberal.ca/story_13986_e.aspx insufficient evidence it was clear the RCMP said NO evidence... but I guess we don't let facts get in the way of a good piece. LOL

Interesting piece by Kay http://tinyurl.com/5wv92p Jonathan Kay on the Cadman non-scandal: Told you so Posted: May 16, 2008, 5:14 PM by Jonathan Kay This just in: "The RCMP have concluded their investigation into allegations of bribery in the so-called Cadman affair, saying there is no evidence to file charges." Which allows me to recite the three words every pundit loves to say: Told you so. Jonathan Kay: Before we give the slightest credence to the Chuck Cadman story, how about we check Tom Flanagan's resumé? Posted to FullComment.com: February 29, 2008, 1:45 PM

Large income tax cuts will sell, but not if Dion continues with the carbon tax proposal, that's a loser. Citation for the public demanding an apology? ?- I never said the public was demanding one, I said they would go for it if he offered one.
-
Dion is on his way out, he did let them go too far with the smears. However, he might survive this one if he offers an apology, doing it in such a way that they (Liberals) come out appearing that they are taking the high road and recognize their mistakes. I think the public would go for that rather than more mudslinging. Besides, the only people who seem to care about it are a handful of partisan posters.

Senior Tory Minister to be named judge?

Just levelling the playing field a bit - what's the problem - -
Dona Cadman was obviously wrong, and obviously misunderstood or didn't hear him correctly, we don't know what he said, only what she thought she heard from a dying man heavily sedated. Not to mention that Cadman stated clearly no such offer was made to Mike Duffy and that's recorded for everyone to see and hear. Even John Moore, (CFRB) a strong left winger, said yesterday 'it doesn't pass the sniff test' - as we have all said before, it doesn't make sense that any insurance company would underwrite a million dollar policy to a dying man, the Cadmans got it wrong. The Liberals made fabricated accusations outside of the House, that's where it becomes libel... talking about enquiries - when do we get one on the bribes made to Stronach et al
-
Interesting and not surprising, what will they (Liberals) do now, and how will this affect the libel suit?

Sounds like a plan to me, not just for defense purposes either. Considering the amount of disasters world wide lately who knows what's in store for Canada, we may need a better military to help out the civilian population.

Yup, let's go hug a terrorist, too bad Israel doesn't sit back and take it, you know, lie down and play dead... then some folks would be more than happy.

Lebanon on the Brink of Civil War (Again)

Part of the food 'shortage' today is man made because of ethanol etc. but I'm not sure why you are concerned about 'bullies' and tinfoil hats. Are you subscribing to a conspiracy theory, that this shortage is somehow intentional with the intent of depopulating the earth ?
