Leaving the documents somewhere is a no no, that was a breach, the rest is personal. I too would like to know exactly what these 'close relations' are, no one seems to know or be able to be more specific, so until there's is some proof she had illegal involvement etc. it's all drive by smears.

Parliament passed legislation today that will require all gasoline sold in Canada to contain 5 percent ethanol by 2010 The bill, which also calls for diesel to contain 2 percent renewable fuels by 2012, won the support of the main opposition Liberal Party but was opposed by two smaller parties that had voiced concern about food-crop production being diverted to fuel. Very real concerns, but I guess we don't care if people starve to death or not.

Liberal Targeting of Ethnic Groups
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Do you know that for a fact, I've been on some training sessions (not lately mind you) and never came across that. -
Sure there is, Boston Legal, it's great yankee show LOL Mind you, all the left wing platforms they give to James Spader gets a bit much some times, the politics in general no matter who they are bashing gets a bit much. -

Guess I'd better take shower cos, golly gee I watched some nasty yankee stuff last night... The horror of it all.

Liberal Targeting of Ethnic Groups
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
They don't usually admit to it though, or admit to training people in recruitment procedures etc. -
I don't understand how it can be a constitutional to shoot up on the taxpayer's dime. Next thing you know it'll be a constitutional right that we provide the drugs too.

I find it pretty hard to believe that in this day and age there are people who think women shouldn't have control of their own reproductive choices. We are talking birth control here, not abortion, although these people would have you believe the bill is equivalent to abortion. And oh, don't forget it's bad for the environment too... really, what a crock... http://www.cbcpnews.com/?q=node/2878 Pro-lifers prepare to protest birth control pill

Miller aims to ban handguns, shut ranges
scribblet replied to WarBicycle's topic in Local Politics in Canada
Miller is that stupid and more. This is about optics too, even if he knows it won't do anything, he can appear to be seen doing something about the problem. -
Suspicions confirmed, the practice of targeting ethnic groups is part of Liberal training. http://progressforprogressives.blogspot.com/ Liberal Targeting of Ethnic Groups Inconsistant with our Principles

I don't have a problem with it, if we can eliminate Downs Syndrome why would it be a bad thing, it's a tough world out there, how can eliminating disease and illnesses be a bad thing. If If a child is born with it, then we love them and look after them. Women at risk, and older women have been able to have amniocentesis for years which detects a lot more than just Downs. It would be better if we could detect these problems prior to pregnancy, but I'll bet that many people would go ahead with a pregnancy anyway.

What went wrong for Hillary Clinton?
scribblet replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
IMHO the media has been harder on her than on Obama, except for Hurricane Wright, he's had nearly a free ride. It's almost as if people are scrambling to prove they are not racist, they are falling all over themselves to support him, while few people question him on much of anything. Personally I think Hillary has a better chance of defeating McCain than Obama, the democrats should be careful what they wish for. -
True, as in adultery... The big point here is how do we protect the children in cases such as Bountiful and Texas, will legalizing polygamy allow more scrutiny of these cults? Certainly, if it's legalized only one wife should be allowed widow's benefits, and medical benefits (within a company plan) imagine the cost to society otherwise.

There always are no matter who's in power, that's why we need more issues on the ballot. I wonder what would happen if the gov't simply capped the price of oil, at say $1.00 a litre.

Are they disgusting simply because they are 'damn yankees', or you just don't care for them, I enjoy many of their disgusting programs'. If all we had to rely on was the CBC, we'd be doing a lot more reading etc. Actually, voluntary donations isn't a bad idea, something like PBS, where they have the fundraisers, the CBC really should be self supporting. It should not be a State run organization, which is mostly an arm of the Liberals anyway.

Some cash grab, I say NO.... http://www.ottawasun.com/News/National/200...654966-sun.html

As far as welfare goes technically they will only pay for the one spouse but that ain't happening either they are collecting for more than one wife. I believe the family law act recognizes all of the wives if polygamy was celebrated in a jurisdiction whose system of law recognizes it as valid. So we recognize it too. http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2004/12/ha...n-the-west.html http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/news/t...40-72b422deef14

It has nothing to do with my moral values, I don't care as long as all parties agree, and are of age The big problem is with underage girls being married off and an apparent abuse of children. To let this go on, without acting on it is reprehensible, at least now that the age of consent has been raised, it will at least stop the marriage of children (girls) under 16 to men who are more than 5 years older than them. And if it hasn't stopped, it I hope the have the balls to step in and do something about it.

Not according to this: http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2008/02...834833-sun.html and this; I don't know how many Muslim women are being abused, if any, but we know there is a problem in Bountiful, so why would we not put a stop to this practice and protect the children and women.
