  1. Or - Harper has the runs... thanks for the laugh this morning -
  2. Define 'religious nut' everyone has a right to an opinion and a voice in a democracy, you obviously seek to limit those rights, to people who might fit your definitions.
  3. The CPC is hardly a party of the 'religious right' , and in fact is nothing but Liberal lite, these days. It has a broad tent which includes some religious people - just as the Liberals are now reaching out to include them in their party. The problem is, you won't see the MSM bashing the Liberals for including them in their party. Using the 'religious right' is nothing but a scare tactic, most people see through it now so it doesn't work any more.
  4. So - what about this you forgot to mention the evanglical Liberals.. http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=1650066
  5. I think you hit the nail on the head here - I rarely post anymore because the content and posters have changed over the last couple of years... not a pretty sight
  6. Not only are they courting the religious vote, but they have chosen an MP who voted aginst same sex marriage and is anti-abortion/anti-choice. However, he is a religious leader with access to a large community - ergo - more votes. So what do they have to offer religious people unless they change their social policy positions. Apart from all this, their hypocrisy is stunning.
  7. Exactly - double standards
  8. How do you like me now - gosh - and here all along I thought it was those 'nasty neo-cons' who wanted a religious voice... http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=1650066 Liberals courting religious vote cont..
  9. Watch it, the head might explode -
  10. The whole thing is weird, did you see this http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianp...8xlIwYuKesD13kA woman retracts letter of support for Dhalla OTTAWA — First it was two Filipina caregivers who claimed to have been mistreated by Liberal MP Ruby Dhalla. Now an 81-year-old Filipina woman claims she has been used in the affair, causing her to become sick, stressed and a pariah in her community. Aurora Villanueva's name was attached to a purported statement this month from the Brampton Filipino Seniors Club.
  11. Not only insulting but a tad intemperate - maybe the head was on the verge of exploding.. - ( sorry couldn't resist) It is these types of comments and over the top stereotyping of posters who disagree as 'radical right wing extremists' , it's just not worth getting into such discussions any more. cheers
  12. As opposed to over 18,000 posts by the radical extremist far left wing LOL
  13. Looks like spurious comments like this are lessening credibility around here.
  14. Wow, getting a little frothy yourself aren't you, repeating spurious smears like that really do lessen your credibility. The http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/633292 is still on it, they say she has failed to clear the air. Coming from the Star it must be right.
  15. We will know if their testimony changes. It could be opportunism on the part of the gals too.. However, considering that the Toronto Star has been on the front line reporting on this, it cannot be a 'great right wing conspiracy' LOL
  16. Well, the movie that is now out could be the finishing touch - however I doubt that any of this will have any affect whatsoever on any election outcome.
  17. thanks for some clarity, talk about Liberal shills -
  18. Sheez, this topic sure went off the rails... IMO the boy should not be expelled or charged with assault. However, he did have a black belt which should I think come into the equation. I might be wrong here, but don't the courts sometimes see the hands and feet as deadly weapons. Doesn't or shouldn't having a black belt require some degree of responsibility in it's use?
  19. Gee, all of this is dejavu , remember the Liberal attack hounds... it depends on the side you are one. LOL
  20. Do you really believe that a worker should be able to collect EI for a year after contribution for only 9 weeks?
  21. I don't have a problem with it unless a sitting MP is an absolute bomb, because I have seen and been involved with a shanghi process in action, it does indeed happen as stated. I've spent hours going over new membership signups etc. heck just ask Art Hanger about that.
  22. There might be, but not as much as you wish it to be. Lynch will be sworn in as a member of the Privy Council before his retirement.
  23. Why would I need to, this is only what this forum is about these days
  24. I don't think it's a big issue, who cares, people come and go.
  25. From my listening and reading, nannygate is big, especially coming from the Liberals as they are the party of or for immigrants, they brag about their ethnic voter base etc. This could damage their reputation big time, Even their leader is not getting her back, he is keeping quiet about it. However, I will hold my opinion on Ms. Dhallah until all the facts about her involvement are in, and remember it was the Toronto Star that broke this story... What is more damaging, is that two Liberal MPPs were at that meeting who spoke to 2 nannies but did nothing. Did they do nothing because they were just incompetent or wanted to protect one of their own, a Liberal MP ? EDTA: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/631022 In this article it appears that Ms. Dhalla did indeed know and was involved in the hiring. I have to wonder about the salary quoted, at no time is room and board mentioned which would enter into the salary equation. Adding that to the salary would make it what - I don't know what figures are used?
