  1. Maybe the real issue is to deflect from the issue of native financial accountability because over the last 5 years the CPC have: 1: Completed the Nunavik Inuit Land Claim Agreement 2: gender equality for native women 3. signed Indian residential agreement & set u8p a reconciliation commission 4. settled over 800 land claims agreements which is more than any previous fed. gov't. 5. Announced a Northern Regional Development Economic Agency 6. formal parliamentarty apology the 2012 budget also gives additional 707.7 million to be invested in stimulous for northern communities Maybe it's more about First Nations entitlements and the ensuing responsibilities to those entitlements. Maybe it is time for aboriginals to become full and equal citizens who will have the same opportunities all Canadians have. Maybe it's time to end race based preferential treatment which will give aboriginals those opportunities.
  2. I don't know any conservatives who use that term, I've only seen it used by the left as a pejorative.
  3. Sure there are, (Godwin's law here) let me see: he's herding people onto cattle cars to be exterminated as we speak.. <roll eyes>.
  4. Nonsense, there was no campaigning involved nor any bribery, this was something that the City Council wanted and voted for.. The City Council vote allowed the group access to federal infrastructure stimulus funding, the majority of which comes from the provincial NDP, they are also contributing 2.6 million. It was after this vote that Martin came out swinging against the funding and the organization so it makes sense that he would not be invited. His rants and outbursts are irrational and considering his excoriation of the group in question he should have a clue as to why he wasn't invited. Actually, it would have fun to have him accept an invite to be on the same podium as the group which he shows utter and complete disdain for.
  5. I wasn't actually referring to Del Mastro, I mean the Maher story, it wasn't clear. This does prove that people buy into the smears and allegations.
  6. I kinda doubt he got them their funding cos I'm sure you would know he was against any public funding Initially as was the provincial NDP. Given that bulk of the money came from the provincial gov't it's funny they didn't invite him either. Considering that he called the funding "taxpayer-funded proselytization" why would anyone want him at their party.
  7. Maybe if his behaviour improved he'd invited, you know people don't want bratty foul mouthed kids at the party.
  8. Wrong, nothing to do with Del Mastro and later on they remembered making the donations, http://www.canada.co...2976/story.html He also lied about tralking to DeLorey: Https://twitter.com/FredDeLorey It was a smear job based on anecdotal allegations and this reporter is in the same bottom league with Harper hating biased Michael Harris. If Maher had any credibility he just destroyed it with this one.
  9. Hmmm no it isn't. Someone asked when did Maher not report the truth. It's about Maher publishing a story without checking facts, there was no scam at all. He then repeats the lies even after the story is retracted. In fact, they were attempting to dig up dirt from 2009 which had allready been audited and passed.
  10. Wow, it's Maher again, barely able to report that his original story was a lie.. Better to repeat the original fake story and keep it going
  11. I kinda doubt it was Mulcair. As far as I'm concerned it is/was a couple of rogue board members or volunteers. The last time Maher lied, let me see hmmm not too long ago. Maher reported that a no. of people were listed as donors to the Conservative riding ass. Laurier-Sainte-Marie in Montreal. He was wrong, they denied making these supposedly fictitious donations and cheques were produced. I don't remember seeing a front page apology although the paper did say "At no time did Postmedia News intend to suggest any impropriety on the part of Sen. Leo Housakos or any other party official involved in the fundraising.” Not much of an apology to those he smeared without verifying his facts first. Much of their reporting is innuendo, supposition and omissions intended to to push his own bias. This makes everything else he's alleged and insinuated suspicious. (it was anyway but this confirms suspicions).
  12. Agreed. I would have to rethink supporting the conservatives, no idea who I would support in that case. However, it has to be hard evidence that the party itself was involved, not innuendo and supposition.
  13. Can't believe anyone would ask that. We go to Florida every winter, I wouldn't give it a second thought and I'm there now, aven't seen one gun yet. Mexico, wouldn't go there now.
  14. I think the report is a tad overstated according to this guy http://www.danieldickin.ca/2012/12/kevin-pages-misleading-statistics.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DanielDickin+%28Daniel+Dickin%29
  15. I think that was obvious from the start. It's an extremely left wing organization which is using this as a political maneuver to try to overturn results of an election they just can't accept. All their witnesses actually voted so ....
  16. You beat me to it, I was going to post it I believe the animosity is far worse than to any other PM. I think one of the comments summed it up : "I love the frothy mouthed vitriol spewed by the confused" and yet Canada is doing very well, better than most and the poverty rate under the CPC is down, contrary to liberal spin. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/11/23/chris-selley-a-dark-spin-on-child-poverty/
  17. He should've just said fuddle duddle and given the middle finger Mulcair shouldn't have blown his lid either.
  18. No funding until they all recognize Israel's right to exist and no funding until they agree not to spend it on arms and war.
  19. Exactly what will this upgraded status at the U.N. do for the people, will it give them more money than they allready get http://www.meforum.org/849/refugees-unto-the-third-generation-un-aid-to How can you negotiate with terrorists who's top goal is to exterminate and commit genocide against Jews and denounces the right of Israel to exist. Their vision is one state, that of Palestine and no Jews please. Israel should not have to negotiate for the right of the people to exist, that should not be up for discussion, so until "Palestine" recognizes that right, they don't deserve the right to Statehood. http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/m/khaled_meshal/index.html?inline=nyt-per Khaled Meshal is the leader of Hamas, the militant Islamist group that rejects Israel’s existence and accepts arms and training from Iran. “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence; if the Israelis put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel” Benjamin Netanyahu
  20. Isn't she the one who also used public money to sponsor sports teams wearing T-shirts with her name on them; advertising for herself Don't forget the one who spent $12,000 of taxpayer’s money on a party for himself. Judge Charles Hackland wrote in a decision released Monday There was "absolutely no issue of corruption or pecuniary gain" on Ford's part, and , "involved a modest amount of money which he endeavoured to raise for a legitimate charity , which is administered at arm's length through the Community Foundation of Toronto."
  21. It represents my view also. Why should Israel negotiate with Hamas as it still refuses to recognize the State of Israel. Meshal still wants to continue fighting for one state- Palestine so how can there ever be peace. Why should Canada recognize this as Hamas does not want peace until Israel is gone. http://topics.nytime...?inline=nyt-per Why should Israel negotiate with Hamas as it still refuses to recognize the State of Israel. Meshal still wants to continue fighting for one state,- Palestine so how can there ever be peace.
  22. He didn't receive money personally, funds he solicited using city hall letterhead (his big mistake) went to a charitable foundation. $3,100.00 is peanuts to Ford so would not have benefited him in anyway, he refused to return the money to the donors on a matter of principle Mistake on his part, sure, but he has never taken money for himself or used taxpayer's money for himself.
  23. More like yellow journalism and an agenda. It's type of thing that calls a lot of the reporting into question.
  24. No, I'm just looking it up now
  25. Where did I say that ?
