In this case it is about standing votes, but it's also another chance to bitch about Harper 'muzzling' people. In this case it's a tough one, who are you gonna support. Pro-life MPs, or a pro-choice PM/gov't. Maybe only MPs with whom we disagree should be muzzled. -

Yes he did, and two Thunder Bay MPs were disciplined by not being allowed to make statements or ask questions in the Commons. They were also removed from their critics' roles. MP Bruce Hyer has said he will return to the fold if Mulcair stops whipping the votes. -

LOL, but you and others on here really 'understand the issue' - sure you do. The only people exposed are those who can't accept that it's not so cut and dried, and the ones doing the name calling and denigrating are those who can't tolerate opposing opinions. Instead, they just attempt to denigrate the poster... now that behaviour really does do the exposing. BC2004 is correct in saying that" alarmists must lash out at any opposing opinion or facts that detract from their new found religion" Not only lash out but start with the personal attacks and negative descriptions etc. The 'unwillingness to answer questions' is simply that I don't read or answer everything on here, mainly because by answering some it just gives them a larger forum to spew and spin. Best to ignore some comments. Besides, where is it written that I or anyone else has to reply to everyone. Get a life there's more than one side to any issue, this one has many. http://www.climatechangedispatch.com/home/10915-james-hansen-nasa-admits-global-temperature-standstill-is-real -

Thought you would all be happy with cracking down on anti abortionists. Naturally, the PM is wrong if he does, and wrong if he doesn't. -

"Angrily" really, another one ascribing emotions and so on that are not there. Get a grip, you aren't the only one with an opinion and when someone disagrees you have to attack. If totally believing the alarmist hype helps you make it through your day, who am I to rob you of your your small joys? carry on if it makes you happy ... -

So far all we have are various degrees of inaccuracy. IMO the true believer alarmists/cultists simply dismiss any evidence that counters their belief in the coming GW apocalypse. They are extremely intolerant of dissent to their catechism so their zealotry has the opposite effect they want. I'm all for clean water and stopping pollution but do not go along with the radicals who seem to hate Western civilization and often use GW as a means of forwarding their own political agenda. In the U.K. March could be the coldest for 50 years and winter is expected to stay for yet another week http://opinion.financialpost.com/2013/02/07/lawrence-solomon-celsius-not-rising/ Our thermometers simply haven’t been rising. According to a study last month by NASA’s James Hansen, Al Gore’s mentor, temperatures have been “flat for the past decade.” According to the U.K.’s Meteorological Office, every bit Al Gore’s equal in alarmism, the temperature standstill has lasted 15 years and, its revised models say, may extend to 20. No wonder public opinion hasn’t rallied to the alarmist cause. http://www.thegwpf.org/hansen-admits-global-temperature-standstill-real/ -

I have lots more including the U.K. trending towards colder winters.. yesterday it was emotional, now I'm 'whining', you really need to stop with the personal comments and unnecessary personal negative verbiage. Even the IPCC admitted to a problem, when their leaked draft confirmed suspicious that the case for man made GW is looking weaker by the day and that the sun plays a much more significant role in "climate change" than the scientific "consensus" has previously been prepared to admit to. The earth has changed/cycled, warmed, cooled for eons and will continue to do so with or without the help of humans. Not only has our planet stopped warming, but we may be headed toward a vast cooling period. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204301404577171531838421366.html No Need to Panic About Global Warming - There's no compelling scientific argument for drastic action to 'decarbonize' the world's economy. Back in 1974 Time Magazine reported on the coming ice age, and recently http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/06/14/ice_age/ Earth may be headed into a mini Ice Age within a decade - Physicists say sunspot cycle is 'going into hibernation' What may be the science story of the century is breaking this evening, as heavyweight US solar physicists announce that the Sun appears to be headed into a lengthy spell of low activity, which could mean that the Earth – far from facing a global warming problem – is actually headed into a mini Ice Age Not all people agree with the alarmists, there is no consensus and what is being presented changes every day. We don't know for sure and we can all post umpteen links poo pooing the other side and echo agreement with those we agree it. Better get those pipelines built we are going to need more heating fuel. -

The Great Green Con #1 GW Forecasts Wrong Again

Your words, not mine so quit imputing words that were not said. I said: I've never denied that the climate could be changing, only that any change today is totally caused by humans. I don't believe it is and I certainly don't believe that we can stop it. I've never said we should keep on polluting either, but I do question the hyperbole and fear mongering. -

I've never denied that the climate could be changing, only that any change today is totally caused by humans. I don't believe it is and I certainly don't believe that we can stop it. I've never said we should keep on polluting either, but I do question the hyperbole and fear mongering. I question how people are not allowed to discuss the other side. People such as Lord Moncton who says, “In the 16 years we have been coming to these conferences, there has been no global warming,” gets booted from the U.N. Science should be open minded when searching for answers, but too often, it is a close-minded politically correct (and financially rewarding) search for their own subjective reality . -

People who question the narrative are drowned out by the the lock step ranting of the man made global warming zealots. Notice we don't hear much from Al Gore anymore, other than how many millions he's making off his green investments and other holdings. Forget the 'source', is it right or not. Consider we've had fewer major hurricanes over the past few year but we heard similar arguments being made years ago about a coming ice age. The weather will keep changing, always has but can man change it.. not IMO. The jury is still out.. and in Alaska http://www.benthamscience.com/open/toascj/articles/V006/111TOASCJ.pdf The First Decade of the New Century: A Cooling Trend for Most of Alaska http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/20130325/overnight-snowfall-anchorage-could-shatter-winters-single-day-record Forget global warming, Alaska is headed for an ice age Alaska Climate Research Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks said in "The First Decade of the New Century: A Cooling Trend for Most of Alaska." -
Here we go again, global warming or no global warming. Okay, I do believe there is climate change happening, but the earth has warmed up out of ice ages before when there where no humans around. IMO there is too much hyperbole and fear mongering from the 'greenies' but we should also do what we can to stop pollution and clean up our act. That goes without saying but some of this new technology such as wind turbines are costing us more and someone is making a killing from this... follow the money. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2294560/The-great-green-1-The-hard-proof-finally-shows-global-warming-forecasts-costing-billions-WRONG-along.html The Great Green Con no. 1: The hard proof that finally shows global warming forecasts that are costing you billions were WRONG all along

Something is rotten with the state of Israel
scribblet replied to Hudson Jones's topic in The Rest of the World
I was wondering where they would get that many skunks in Israel, but really according to Wiki it's not harmful and is not raw sewage and it sure beats lethal force. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_%28weapon%29 "Skunk" is a malodorant, non-lethal weapon used for crowd control by the Israeli Defense Forces. .... According to David Ben Harosh, head of technological development for the Israeli police, the recipe is based entirely on natural organic ingredients, including yeast and baking powder, does not include any harmful materials, and may even be ingested without causing harm. Maybe it would be better to complain about the Saudi Arabian executioner who beheaded Rizana Nafeek, a Sri Lankan maid accused of killing her child. She had no access to lawyers during her pre-trial interrogation (when she signed a “confession” written in Arabic, which she didn’t understand) or at her first trial. Maybe outrage would be better directed at these types of lethal instances. Or maybe it would be be better to complain about Palestinian armed groups in Gaza violating the law by launching hundreds of rockets toward population centers in Israel - and on and on.- 62 replies

Wisconsin's "White Privilege" Wristbands
scribblet replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Too bad so sad, this is an open discussion and you don't have to care, it was a comment. Neither where they trying to correct 'my behaviour' the whole organization of around 1700 people had to take part in various mandated seminars, IMO it was relative to the discussion All part of the 90s employment equity and quota initiatives implemented to attempt to redress 'white privilege'.
