Right... good thing he isn't doing the Weiner thing, they'd be all over it. Oh wait... that's acceptable cos it's a democrat.

So how do we account for Trudeau Jr. wanting to increase immigration in the family class. Looks like Justin Trudeau is now pandering to another group of people as he’s promising to ‘reform’ our family class immigration rules. How is he going to finance the $1.5 and $2 billion annually for their health care. Very effective ethno-politicking indeed. Contrast Trudeau’s gushing defense of an expanded immigration system with his refusal to criticize David Suzuki, when the patron saint of Canadian leftism called for an effective end to immigration into Canada. hmmmm http://www.lfpress.com/2013/07/26/justin-trudeau-has-the-wrong-idea-on-immigration

There's no evidence that he was able to fight back as Martin was on top of him and as you say it wasn't racial. And no, it is not carte blanche to murder kids or even 17 year olds who are on top of you beating you up. It's that type of rhetoric that fans the flames. Maybe Florida will take a look at the self defense laws but so far it doesn't look like they will. As I've said, prosecutorial misconduct has a big part in all of this along with the rhetoric and race baiting.

Well said ! Some seem to be so united in hate towards PM Harper they let it override sense. They ignore the achievements and how well the country has been doing and how well we have weathered the recession. We've done much better than most.

Duffy? Mac Harb should have taken the spotlight!
scribblet replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It has little to do with the standards of whoever appt. them. There was no indication that Duffy, Wallis or Harb would do anything like that. Chretien appt. Harb but I doubt there was anything untoward as he sat as an MP for 15 years. -
Lac-Mégantic train derailment disaster

No doubt the town sue them for the money, they are insured for it. The law suits have allready started but I read somewhere that the company isn't worth that much and is strapped for cash. They may not get what they hope for and I'll bet the company declares bankruptcy eventually. -
Is this a form of discrimination because these days it seems over weight people are now the subject of derision and bigotry. The guy has actually lost weight since. I thought N.Z. was supposed to be an enlightened society (well so I've heard) . http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-23475583 Fat 'doesn't have to mean unfit' cont...

You know that he only started appointing Senators when he couldn't get the legislation passed (the Senate blocked it) He then started appointing them but required the appointees to agree to conditions. What was the PM supposed to do, leave all the positions open until the next gov't could fill it with theirs. -
Good question. Did anyone notice that the article mentioned the call company Strategic communications which was also fined for (an unrelated) offense when working for the NDP, but failed to mention an interesting point. What the article in the paper didn't mention was that the CEO of that company was am expert witness for the radical left wing group Council of Canadians during their attempt to overthrow the last election. http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1203533/member-of-parliament-and-telemarketing-service-provider-pay-penalties-for-violating-crtc-unsolicited-telecommunications-rules-penalties-totalling-17-0 Strategic Communications Inc. was issued a notice of violation for a robocall campaign it carried out on behalf of the NDP between 11 January and 20 January 2012 in the electoral district of St-Maurice-Champlain, Québec. The calls in question did not specify that they were being made on behalf of the NDP, nor did they include the call originator's mailing address and contact telephone number. Strategic Communications Inc. cooperated with the CRTC's investigation, paid a monetary penalty of $10,000 and committed to establish a comprehensive compliance program to prevent future such occurrences.

High cost of Recovering Liberal Deleted E-Mails
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
What does Hudak have to do with my post, your off base there. and really, whose the one foaming at the mouth I was curious as to how it could actually cost that much, but I think post #3 explains it. -
According to Liberal Minister Kevin Costane, the cost of recovering the deleted emails will be between $1.7 million and $3.5 million. Any idea why it would cost that much to recover, and why are they still using tapes, I thought everyone used disks now? http://www.thespec.com/news-story/3907755-cost-of-recovering-deleted-gas-plant-emails-could-hit-3-5-million-tories-say/

Surely you are not serious, the conservatives had nothing to do with this. Are you saying it isn't true ? That's 3 now, Dewar joins Liberal MPs Frank Valeriote and Marc Garneau. I didn't realize Garneau had been charged. http://www.hilltimes.com/news/politics/2013/03/14/garneau%E2%80%99s-campaign-admits-phone-survey-didn%E2%80%99t-comply-with-crtc-rules-on/34004#.UUKNmKTVyG8.twitter

Well said. Bill Cosby et al can't end that on their own, but if more people spoke out and agitated for funding by bringing crowd protesters as they do with their race baiting, they might make a difference. If they and politicians spoke out and showed statistics maybe they could do something about funding. The war on drugs will only end when we educate and help people to stop taking them, we should never end fighting drugs. Raising kids on your own leads to poverty most of the time, there's a cycle they can't break out of. Quit having babies you can't support and stay in school, is one step in the right direction. It's not all systemic discrimination, there's a lot more to it. Another one from a black writer in 2012- and excerpt http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303302504577323691134926300.html The civil rights community and the liberal media live by the poetic truth that America is still a reflexively racist society, and that this remains the great barrier to black equality. But this "truth" has a lot of lie in it. America has greatly evolved since the 1960s. There are no longer any respectable advocates of racial segregation. And blacks today are nine times more likely to be killed by other blacks than by whites. If Trayvon Martin was a victim of white racism (hard to conceive since the shooter is apparently Hispanic), his murder would be an anomaly, not a commonplace. It would be a bizarre exception to the way so many young black males are murdered today. If there must be a generalization in all this—a call "to turn the moment into a movement"—it would have to be a movement against blacks who kill other blacks. The absurdity of Messrs. Jackson and Sharpton is that they want to make a movement out of an anomaly. Black teenagers today are afraid of other black teenagers, not whites.

:D Quite the story isn`t it (both of them). Where was the daring duo from the Gazette and the intrepid reporters from the Star on this one. Didn't bother digging deep enough on this one.
