  1. The 18-25 demo is a worthy target, this seems to target 5-8 year olds as my 5yr old enjoyed it. Harper and Martin, please don't pull an Ed Dippi as I am trying to teach the son about the process of electing a leader of canada. If by chance they do, please remind me to leave the country........... for good. I'm hoping for the actual DVD set of rap dippers. Being dippers they might want to seek a deal with Best Buy, cause the Stones did and man was that set cheap. Normally I would have to download it for free but at Best Buy I could get it for a meager $40.00 (39.99) Other tracks include; Svend's end singing Queens, " who wants to live forever", Bill 'too much' Bulky to pink's, "I'm coming out, so lets get this party started", Alexa Imdunna, "It's my party and i'll cry if I want to", A classic!
  2. I couldn't have said it better my self
  3. Here is a big reason not to vote NDP You thought seeing John McCallum ambushing Harper was a bad idea, check out Ed's back video. Socialist Idol tanks.
  4. I would really like to see how those numbers play in the ROC, in other words without Quebec numbers to scew the national numbers. I'm quessing with the Bloq at 9% and Liberals at 37% the movement was in Quebec.
  5. Mark my words. the CBC will go on and on about how great he is on the international stage. Expect to see a close up of a tear. The flag shoved in our faces at every turn. My hope is that there is not a hint of politics in Norway, uh, I mean Normandy. Does anyone know if he'll be taking a Sea King from Paris to the memorial?
  6. WOW is right. I can't believe the left is still talking in circles. Stephen Harper helped form the reform to rebel agianst Mr. Mulroney.............Bad anti-everything regional hump. Some Ontario Conservatives want in, Hello Alliance......Bad nothing more than reform with a new name. This time all conservatives vote over 90% to join...........Bad Alliance take over of the Tories. Harper wins unfair leadership contest and wins praise of media and some former members of former government that intiated the party cleansing........ Bad same old corrupt party. I can only say this line of thinking is moronic at best.
  7. Because I will state over and over that the Conservatives are no threat to anyone but the Government.
  8. Blackdog and maple link79% of Canadians. That would meam a hell of alot of men unless 100% of female respondants supported that claim which is unlikely, even in Canada. So calm down, big bad conservative men are not going to stop women from having abortions. A free vote is safe unless your in the pro-life minority. what was that about protecting the minority view in the charter?
  9. Minority rules does not define democracy. Women make up 52% of the population or something like that, so I would not fear putting it to a free vote in the house. Men are more likely to say women should have the right to choose. I can't find polling data to back up that claim (I've looked) but protecting unborn children doesn't seem a priority for men. This is an issue that crosses party lines, put Bill Blakie, David Kilgour, and Stockwell Day in the same room and before long I believe you would have consensus on these so called divisive "hidden conservative agenda" issues. Media is currently in panic mode and they will stop at nothing. I would like to encourage all conservatives to counter these hidden agenda claims. The Stars editorial board have demanded that Harper make a promise not to introduce abortion legislation in any term he might serve. This was done after he said he would not introduce legislation in a first term but would not stop a private members bill. Can you imagine any other leader being asked to make promises about a second term long before he has earned a first? The media will now focus on the so-called hidden-agenda and the campaign of fear starts in earnest. They will also link Harper to past leaders instead of examining Matrins role in adscam. Ignoring that Harper has built a bigger party and can expect talent from Ontario.
  10. It is not his writers it is HIM, give the guy his credit.
  11. The Royal Bank in Vancouver has Chinese on its ATM machines and not because of some law. They do this because it is viable for them to do so. In contrast the government provides services in french in Kelowna and limits employees of same, to those that are bilingual, even though it may not be viable as the population doesn't warrant it. I think as Jean Lapiere said you have an English Canada and a French Canada so wake up.
  12. Just wondering if this would make a difference. What if he was speaking for a majority of his constituents? Would it be o.k. to state thier opinion?
  13. And you guys think the conservatives have problems. This was not a gaffe, the guy (Scott Ried) wrote a book about his feelings and they are not party policy. What, only Liberals can say the obvious?
  14. Well I don't think I attacked you but I certainly did not agree with you and still don't. Canadians are saying, "give us a reason to vote for you conservatives". They will find that when they look at Mr. Harper he is a capable leader. An economist, young family, middle of the road, sensible simple solutions to government. Nothing scary! Reason enough to vote for him. Non elitist, no flashy gimmicks, hockey dad type will ring loudly in most parts of Canada. They will demand better and vote Tory. Mr. Harper is already winning over some media and Canadians will follow shortly. I would like to say that I think it would be great if the NDP form the official opposition to the Tory government. The NDP has a platform that should be looked at first in opposition.
  15. Your assessment is wrong. In the ROC all voters, the numbers are; Libs.........35 Tory.........31 NDP..........21 So it is not much of a three way race in the ROC, espescially since a lagre number of voters are looking at the party and its platform and local candidates. The Conservatives are more trusted to run a clean government than are the Liberals or NDP. Conservative candidates are the results grassroots efforts over star power and patronage. The Conservatives could win this election with a majority very easily as everything is lined up perfectly.
  16. Sorry, Overspending by $7500.00 when the rules were fuzzy is not a scandal. $7500.00 buys one ad so give me a break, nice attempt though.
  17. I also have to add that I love this forum and thank Greg for his efforts. It is an excellent outlet to debate and exchange ideas about this country.
  18. Boo-hoo, I'm in tears over poor T.O. Is this an election issue for the Chow-Layton team? I hope so cause I'm sure Saskatchewan and Manitoba and even B.C. will want to send MP's to stand up for this cause. Did Michigan stop taking T.O's trash and they've decided to send it to Ottawa? Sorry in advance but I wonder why this statement is not torn apart in leftist anti-regional tort as per any Alberta statement via Conservatives? Hipocrites!
  19. I agree that a meltdown is very much possilble. Why? The gaffs of Paul Martin are growing at a rate that exceeds even Stockwell Day. Normandy vs Norway and he said it twice and it didn't register in his own head. This alone would be enough for alot of Canadians to not vote for this guy because it is one of the most significant things this country has done. It stands as a more unifying event (freeing France) than free health care or flying the Maple Leaf in Quebec. On the world stage Paul Martin is expected to shine but he called China a Southern power (see Paul Wells blog). Failing at simple geography wasn't expected from him but is now obvious. He used a private health clinic. It does not matter if he paid or not, the optics will hurt him. Especially since he received a donation from it's operator. When Canadians take their heads out of the sand or todays prairie snow they will notice something just ain't right in Ottawa and fix it. Quebecers too may want to try the Third way, the middle road between the Bloq and the Liberals.
  20. 21. If divisivness is how the left interprets honesty, sure I'd love to see Don Cherry rip into Paul Martin. In fact, I can't imagine anyone better equipped to state the truth and maintain immunity from Liberal scare mongering.
  22. In response to, where is Harper? Near as I can tell he is working the grassroots and does respond through Media releases. The media doesn't run with it because there is no fun in a refuted claim of extremism. Those who can get past the CBC\Globe filter can see calm, cool, logical responses from Harper on any issue. The media won't be able to downplay the truth come election time. It seems the only way to get his message to Canadians is paid advertisement and that is money better spent during the last week of the election. A prize fighter shouldn't be on TV every day blabbing about his opponent. Gloves come up when the bell rings or in this case when the writ is dropped.
  23. Maplesyrup Can you explain how a 51st State Govenor would come about to screwing things up even more and how Harper would achieve what Brian Mulroney failed to do.
  24. I would expect Clark to support Martin as both men are preoccupied with the past. Clak has to attack his successor and Martin his predecesor in order to appear relavent. A poor loser and a poor winner both dividing the fraternity to appear supperior in value. I happen to believe they admire each other and so they should, as footnotes should stick together.
  25. Ya Anne and Reg Alcock. They are both inaudible at opposite ends of the frequency spectrum, dogs and whales, weird uh.
