All private members bills on the subject have come from Liberals. So what is the big deal.

The prospect of a conservative majority comes into focus and all this before the debate. Paul Martin hasn't got a chance now. The media has done a great job of showing that issues like racism, pro-lifers, redefiners of marriage exist in all parties and crosses all lines. Now we get back to things like tax cuts vs waste.

Not to mention that I have obsereved, as we all have, that Ipsos puts one out that says Libs =32%, Tories=31% and that the Libs are ahead at 40% in Ont. Herle says that the Libs are in a spiral on the same day as the poll is released. Today Ekos puts one out that says Tories are 34% to the Libs 30% and also are behind in Ont. This would seem to more be accurate given what the Liberals are doing. I also noticed that the Bloq attacked the Conservatives for the fisrt time, could it be that they are now on the move in that province?

Perhaps all the concern is just media fluff.

Even bad leaders get a chance at two elections with the liberals, something the Conservatives need to learn.

Very bad for the Bloq and NDP to take shots at the Conservatives. Scare to many socialists and they run to the Libaerals, same with the the Nationalists/Separatists that make up the Bloq. What good is a protest vote if you elect someone you hate, like Bush. I have noticed via the daily polls that whenever a party attacks the Conservatives the attackers numbers drop. Very interesting.

I mostly agree, but I believe the Tories will get a couple more points after the debate. Maybe 40% but scattered so won't make a big difference in seat projection.
