He only said it once as far as I know and did not say it loud enough. If the Conservatives fail here, well, you can see a Canada where the NDP or Bloq have more influence in Canada. We can't keep watching a rump party flow between fifty and a hundred seats like the NDP flows from eight to twenty back and fourth decades after decades going nowhere. What is better in Alberta eyes, the Red Tory vision within a party or the NDP's vision in government?

That was the goal of the Green Party too. Ah, success. Harper at least admitted disappoinment and just confirms how deluded the NDP is when they celebrate this election. No record number of seats, not even the balance of power. Has any dipper expressed disappointment?

I think Albertans should realize that Ontario now has the exact same representation in the Conservative caucus. All those years of being the predominate voice in caucus has ended. Ontario has just said we want in.....to the party. I guess you should be carefull of what you wish for. This time Ontarios voice is equal, next time Alberta may be the minority in caucus and have very little influence. If Quebec gets on board further influencing the party.....well you can see where this is going. Bye -Bye Alberta dominated party. We are really just two elections away from becoming Progressive Conservatives again, as Urban Ontario and the east and Quebec invade it. This is what Conservatives are hoping for when they wish to form government. Once you elect enough from these regions (Toronto,Quebec, Atlantic) they become the shaping force of the party. Think about it Albertans, no where else to grow. Change or be changed, we have reached the glass ceiling.

Cheryl Gallant won her seat Randy White won his seat Scott Reid won his seat Any body else? Central Canada may not like it but two of them are representing Ontario ridings and had the guts to speak about social issues and won. Good for them.

Add three more firsts for the Conservative Party. Along with the first ever female cabinet member we can now boast of the first female Indo-Canadian elected to parliament. The first elected person with a physical disability and the first husband and wife. The party labeled as harmful to minority rights keeps on doing what no other party does, giving them a voice in the House of Commons. The bigot Scott Brison will not be missed.

Just a few words, I'm not a superstitious person but I observed a few interesting "omens" on voting day. I don't feel silly considering the G&M consulted witches and astrologers prior to the vote. Before voting I had to mail a box to Winnipeg. After about 20 Mins In line some guy behind me says, "where is the Fed-X outlet?". Then I thought "WOW" Canadians refuse to stand in line for mail service at the Government run outlet but may very well vote to stand in line for health services at the government run outlet. This guy knew instinctively to opt for better service and said so. Nobody chastized him for saying it and wishing for an American company to lessen his waiting time. Maybe this will be manifest in the election too, I thought. The church I voted in was on Stockwell Drive....Interesting. I came back home to find no audio on CBC Newsworld. I could see Don Newman and Norman Spector but no sound . I laughed out loud at the Liberal mouthpiece silenced on election night........Spooky. Well we will see if there is anything to it.

Hey Rev, First please don't talk down to Big Blue simply because he has more on the ball and seems to be able to discern truth from fabrication more readily than you. The Conservatives are not talking "an American stlye system", they are simply saying more delivery from private centers, clinics, whatever. People won't have to wait two years for surgery or 8-10 hours for stitches. Except those people that are only willing to go through the public system, good luck with that.

How does a federal government introduce user fees? How 'bout putting it this way, The Conservatives, by cutting taxes will help Ontarians pay the premiums on health introduced by a Liberal Government with the backing of another Liberal Government? How about tax cuts for families without cutting transfers for health as the liberals did? How about shrinking the government and growing the economy to pay for more health care? How about ending the public monopoly on health care?

This poll was taken during the same period that the SES shows a dip in support for the Conservatives. The trend has reversed as per SES and does not indicate anything substantial. Even at 28% the Conservatives get more seats. There is still much room to grow, seat wise. Did anyone see the seat projections on global yesterday. August1991 is correct

The Conservative Party did not exist in 2000 and since you claim the merger was a take over by the Alliance, why not just use the Alliance numbers. You discount the old PCers on one hand and count them on another. Or maybe you would like a historical look. The Reform party was a baby in 1993 and now may form Government. Compare that to the NDP that has never formed Official Opposition. Keep trying though, 'cus it usually helps the conservatives. All that is missing is the Conservative Quebec wing for it to be the permanent party in power. One day that will be resolved. If any one can reconcille Quebec and Alberta the Liberals will be finished for along time. Federally they want the same thing but for different reasons. I believe it will be possible in the near future. Oh ya, and after SES doubled the sample we find the Conservatives have not fell to 29% but remain at 33% or there about. So Paul Wells has to cancel his party yet agian and Maple will have to find yet another way to spin that the NDP are real competitors. You might try what the Star did and state that it is almost possible to call Ontario a three way race Because the NDP is 6% shy of the liberals. Ya good luck with that.
