  1. Basically a movie with no intelligent contents.
  2. She wanted the Queen representative. I now hope Harper shows up at the designated meeting place, that way Theresa cannot say that Harper doesn't listen.
  3. So Theresa Spence is cancelling the meeting to meet Harper because the governor general won't show up, this woman doesn't know compromise.
  4. Which is why you get more officers as back up to serve the injunction. What becomes of the law of it doesn't get enforced by the authorities?
  5. How many individual threads do we need of the Attawapiskat topic? Sheesh.
  6. I disagree, I can see the Liberals tripping on this. The sides are polarized and Trudeau wadding in to sit beside Spence when the audit was partially released showing such gross negligence to the band's finances can caused the public on the other side to take another look at Trudeau. That's my opinion.
  7. Independent Auditor Report (short): http://www.aadnc-aan...4776386_eng.pdf This is the comprehensive audit report. Scroll to bottom of the article for the audit report. http://www.cbc.ca/ne...dit-monday.html 130 pages.
  8. Interestingly the camp which holds Theresa Spence barred any reporters from entering the compound to ask her about the audit report. However prior to the release of the audit, they welcomed reporters with open arms.
  9. It only goes to show how little you know about the topic of astronomy. All in the span of 15 some odd billion years.
  10. I had the number wrong it was over $11,000 for Attawapaskit not $8,000 >.>
  11. The $100 million given over six years: http://news.national...g-in-six-years/ I made an error, the population for Attawapiskat is 1,500 not 2,000 as of January 3rd according to the article. Another source pins it at 1,300 but that's from 2011. http://ca.news.yahoo...-201047085.html Federal government expenditure: http://en.wikipedia...._federal_budget Fixing the math: Reserve math: $100,000,000 / 1,500 people = $66,666 per person in six years / 6 years = $11,111 per person per year for six year. Federal math: $271.6 billion / 35,000,000 people = $7.888.57 per person in 2012. That may be, but where is the money going to? For the amount Attawapiskat is getting and the looking at the end result, one seriously need to question the finance practices on reserves.
  12. A quick wikipedia search tells me that there are around 2,000 people on the Attawapiskat reserve, over $100 million given to that reserve in 6 years. That is $8,333 per person per year for six years, where did it all go? Understandably the cost of living is high, but seriously? This is a complete joke. By comparison the government spend $7,885 (according to expenditure of 2012 federal budget) per person in 2012. That's $448 less then Attawakpiskat reserve and yet they still live in appalling poverty?
  13. Attawapiskat audit finds 'no evidence of due diligence' The accounting firm hired to audit the finances of the troubled Attawapiskat First Nation reserve in northern Ontario says there is little or no documentation for millions of dollars spent by the band, CBC News has learned. The unreleased audit was requested by the federal government to ensure that the approximately $104 million it provided to Attawapiskat between April 2005 and November 2011 was spent as it should have been. CBC News has obtained a copy of the audit. The funding was intended for housing, sewage, education and other services. In a letter dated Sept. 20, 2012, that was written by Deloitte to Chief Theresa Spence and copied to the Department of Aboriginal Affairs, that auditing firm says that of 505 transactions reviewed, more than 400 lacked proper documentation. The letter says "an average of 81 per cent of files did not have adequate supporting documents and over 60 per cent had no documentation of the reason for payment." The letter to Spence also says there is "no evidence of due diligence on the part of Attawapiskat of funding provided by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada for housing projects and Health Canada for health-related projects." 14. Except the truth.
  15. Technically a male has Y chromosome and a woman is lack of a Y chromosome. XY = Male XX = Female XXY = Male XXX = Female XXXY = Male XXXX = Female ETC If you're born with XY chromosome and you undergo a 'sex' change to be a female, you would still be a male. A true sex change cannot happen in the human species.

Are we supposed to care and does this mean I'm going to have to watch mindless talking heads on the sports media babbling on about it 24/7 until the end of June... Bring back the lockout!!!!

Damn straight, it's finally over. Although personally I think we should punish the them all for the first month and not watch. It'll be lousy hockey anyway.

  17. Whose Dre?
  18. Which will never happens because science constantly dispute supernatural entities and phenomenon.
  19. What kind of updates are you expecting?
  20. You lack the ability to think critically, white and Caucasian are two different things. You were thinking of caucasian. There are three common types of ethnic based on the early human migration pattern - African (Negroid) (200,000 ya) being the primary origin and when the humans moved out of Africa they split giving rise to European (Caucasoid) (43,000 ya) and Asian (Mongoloid) (30,000 ya). Of course the looks differ in each group due to blending. A man can be white and be Asian, Caucasian or African. Vice-versa for being black instead of white. Now natives (Canada and Australia), not going to be racist, but their early origin lies with Asian ethnic not Caucasian. But like I said earlier, appearances looks different due to blending. We may be able to perceive the small differences among ethnics. That is a common thing among species - to identify minuscule differences between individuals of the same species, while species B cannot distinguish such detailed differences between individuals of species A. It is long overdue to take Thor's hammer and smash it through the racial attitude perpetrated by both natives and non-natives. You seem to have been doing that quite a bit.
  21. I'm failing to see where the direction of this conversation is heading, looks like an endless circular loop.
  22. You bought it upon yourself by saying what you just said. This a prime example of statement coming from a person who doesn't think critically to the responses she's getting. Keep in mind that you played the 'white' card and I simply deflected it back at you - the response I got from you isn't surprising.
