  1. An apology for any 'misinterpretation' of his actions. I have posted it before. I take it you haven't asked Greg anything.
  2. You shouldn't pay off debt if it's at a low rate? wtf? This isn't a corporation where you do Return on Investment calculations...
  3. That isn't even close to funny or witty. Resigning is too much. An apology will suffice.
  4. Exactly. They were posted to continue spreading your hatred for Harper. I called you on it. You have no support for what you did so you laugh it off.
  5. Asking you "who gives a flying #$%&" is breaking the rules? Sigh. Ok, I'll ask greg. You may homogonize this board beyond recognition yet Ricki. Go ahead and ask him. Have him cc me on the response...
  6. "Implication" aside, how about actually criticisms of the articles. You have posted twice now and not *actually* said anything about them....
  7. Don't see Gerry objecting to the contents of the article. Seems like a vain ploy to spread his hate for Harper...
  8. My opinion is you are simply here to attack Harper and the Conservatives no matter what. Forget consistency, honesty or common decency. My intelligence is insulted by your never ending attacks on the Government. I have said it before. Calls for MacKay to resign are ridiculous and pure partisan games. MacKay proved his integrity with the whole David Orchard affair so I don't know what everybody is so shocked about. The Liberals did far far far worse in Parliament when they were in Government. The Conservatives should just follow Chretien's many, many examples and ride it out. My intelligence would be insulted by your indignation if it wasn't so hypocritical. You refuse to show any respect to the Government or posters on this board who dare oppose your view. When I point out your inconsistency you break yet another rule of the board. Hmmm, I thought tantrums were for 10-year olds.
  9. I supported Clonton 100% during that whole fiasco. He was a very good President. It was ridiculous partisan games the Republicans were playing with him. Just like it is ridiculous partisan games the Liberals and NDP are playing with MacKay. Must you always be so angry and belligerent? You are here to attack Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada. We get it Gerry. Just remember when you are so blatantly hypocritical it's tough to run away from it. Which explains the little swearing tantrum I guess...
  10. That's the key here. Is MacKay a perfect man? No. Did we know that before he was put into cabinet? Yes. Is this indescretion big enough for him to seriously consider resigning? No.
  11. David Orchard?????? Who gives a f*ck about David Orchard? He's a 'Liberal' now....
  12. So the national debt shound never, ever be paid off? Or paying it off should just be postponed until you are gone?
  13. I voted Conservative to bring an end to corrupt Liberal government and having our elected government act as if they were there by divine right. The Conservatives have delivered so far. Don't be partisn? This issue is all about partisan games. By taking resigning MacKay would be playing right into the Liberal's hands. Moral victories are for chumps. Yes, MacKay f*cked up. Should he resign for it? No way. That is far too strong a response. The way MacKay won the PC leadership then reneged on his promise to Orchard tells us much more about his character. Everybody knew that when he was put into Cabinet. Look at the way Chretien blew off scandal, after scandal, after scandal. That was shrewd politics and Canada is much better off with the Conservatives being just a little shrewder. MacKay apologizing formally to the House is far more than any Chretien-era cabinet minister would have done. That is the appropriate reponse in this situation.
  14. What is the lie? MacKay denied calling Stronach a dog. He 'implied' it ..... maybe. It was 'clear' what his intentions were ..... maybe. But he never called her a dog.
  15. Just typical histrionics on your part in attacking the Conservatives. Now you don't think what MacKay said was such a big deal, at the same time the Liberal 'braintrust' changed their mind. You have changed your tune significantly since last Friday. You have no credibility on this issue because of statements like this...
  16. Clearly, you are changing the way you attack the government over the issue along with all the other Conservative haters. Clearly you said it was offensive to woman until the Liberals changed their gameplan. Clearly the strength of your convictions is pretty weak. You are just attacking the Conservatibes anwyway you can. The Canadina people have seen through this sad little ploy. Even the National isn't leading with this story...
  17. Much ado about nothing. Even the CBC doesn't think it's that big a deal. They had a story on it tonight on the National, but it wasn't the lead. That story about the clerks scamming the lotteries across the country was considered more important. Yawn....
  18. *IF* there were no net debt I would completely agree. But not paying down at least part of the debt while we can just puts a greater burden on future generations.
  19. Maybe he should have shut his f*cking mouth and been a team player after not being named to cabinet instead of causing a stink and giving the PM a black eye. Part of why he was left out of cabinet was his reputation for not being a team player. It was a critical time for him after Harper named his first cabinet. Garth failed the test big time. There was no way he was ever making it into a Harper cabinet after that ouburst.
  20. It's only *about the denial* now because the Liberals saw that nobody was buying their offence to women crap. The denial is a much smaller deal. I do find it very funny that you now *agree* it wasn't the huge insult to all women YOU made it out to be. You would think somebody making such an incredible about face would have the decency to admit the error they made. But then again, it neverhas been about anything MacKay did in Parliament. It's all been *attack* *attack* *attack*. A huge insult to all Canadinas? whatever
  21. I think the ink is a bad idea. Photo IDs are a good idea, but it is more symbolic than anything. No real fears of many people voting twice, still there were six ridings in the last election won by less than 250 votes. Wouldn't take 'a lot' of people to influence the outcome in those ridings. The thumb ink is good in new democracies and helps prove the legitimacy of the election process. Canada is a first-world nation. The integrity of our elections is never seriously called into question. Part of the rights in a democracy is the right not to vote. People shouldn't be 'shamed' into voting. If they don't want to vote that should be their choice.
  22. Elections Canada uses a lot of temporary help who aren't always aware of the rules. You could have made a big deal about it. Not many people who aren't really into politics are aware of the rules. By law you didn't have to show ID.
  23. The way it stands now has always been a loophole in the Elections Act that was open to abuse. As the law sits now somebody can walk into any polling station. Claim to live in the riding and be sworn in to vote. No iD required. IIRC Elections Canada workers at polling stations can't ask for ID....
  24. The Bob does have the best shot to win a general election. Go Iggy Go!!! Something tells me that Yaffe's earlier column was influenced by tallking to the lower mainland Liberal 'elite'. Mark Marissen, Christy Clark and Big Billy Cunningham. They are all supporting Dion...
  25. Went behind their backs? Every Progressive Conservative member had the opportunity to attend a regional convention. Progressive Conservative delegates at those conventions voted 9 to 1 for the merger. The only person hurt by the merger was David Orchard. Nobody freakin' cares about wingnut Orchard...
