  1. Who knows? Who cares? Better that than the multitude of Liberals who still try and justify the $1.14 million stolen.
  2. Yeah, probably not. A difference in opinion in the way matters are reported is not evidence of corruption. The only people who would have seen this as corrupt, when looking at the $1.14 million stolen by the Liberals in Adscam are partisan Liberals who are bound to hate the Conservatives no matter what. Calgarygrit probably said it best.
  3. Well said. I get the point how one year of Conservative minority Government represents a dictatorship but 13 years of Liberal majorities aren't... Gotta love how the lefties view it as an aberration of democracy if they don't get to call the shots all the time. My buddy said it best. The problem with the CBC all goes to the staff. They were the kids who won the important student union elections and forced their agenda on all the rest of the students. While wasting time performing their important elected duties they watched as the real future leaders took part in the Young Libs, Young Conservatives, Young Dippers yada yada yada. The only places that would hire these *future leaders* were places like the CBC. So the mindset perpetuated itself and instead of pushing their agenda on disengaged students and wasting thousands of student fee dollars they force their agenda on disengaged Canadians while wasting billions of taxpayer dollars.
  4. Yawn.... They lowered the overall tax burden with their latest budget. They'll correct the error they made in the 1/2 point increase in the lowest tax rate in the next budget. You gotta love terms like "real social conservative". Utterly meaningless and they cause the likes of normie to sit there smugly and think they have made a witty comment. Normie, we get it. You hate the Conservatives and Stephen Harper. You have never voted for him and never will. That's why he won't waste time, money and effort to try and appeal to the likes of you.
  5. That's flatly wrong. This link shows how the Conservatives are increasing immigration numbers in BC. This link shows how the Conservatives are increasing immigration numbers to Francohphone communities. This link shows how the Conservatives are increasing immigration numbers to help deal with labour shortages in Western Canada. Please try and have some truth in your attacks...
  6. You accuse the right wing and Islamists of being angry? The attacks of 9/11 weren't a crime against humanity? That is the very solid argument for the Afghanistan mission. SSM is legal in Canada. And your reading of the Charter is a little .... misinformed shall we say. Kyoto was a commitment the Liberals made in 1997. By the time the Conservatives took power in January the only way for the Government to honour that commitment was to ship billions of dollars off-shore to buy emission credits. The inaction of the Liberals for 8 1/2 years left the Conservatives with only one option. To leave Kyoto and come up with a new plan that works for all Canadians. The new Environment minister will have to come up with that plan early in the new year. So you chastise other people for stereotyping, but you stay things like this. Wow, what blatant hypocrisy.
  7. And nobody gives a sh*t. Loser Grow up please. Well said!
  8. No just provide some actual proof, instead of misleading tripe...
  9. That riding will probably stay NDP. Billy Cunningham was the Liberal candidate in 2004 and 2006. As a member of Martin's "Board" he got tons of help in both campaigns. Visits from the PM both go rounds and lots of ministerial visits. He might run again, but how many times can a guy lose? Unless Christy Clark (or hubby Mark Marissnen) runs in that riding ... no Liberal has a chance.
  10. They finished second in 40 Quebec ridings in January. Lots of potential options there. A strong environment minister touting a solid new environmental plan and an election timed to minimize potential bad news from Aghanistan. There is the possibility to pick up ground...
  11. Don't let the b*stards get you down. That's an interesting analysis but soooooo much will depend on the defining issues of the next campaign. I personally believe a CPC majority will come from picking up a few (5 to 10) seats in Quebec, quite a few (10 to 20) in Ontario, a couple (2 to 4) in SK and MB plus the seats (5) the party lost in BC in January. Any pickups in the Maritimes would be a bonus. If Lord runs there could be one in NB, but that's about it...
  12. A poll taken before the Gomery inquiry stating the public thought the Liberals were more ethical than the PCs is your proof? Wow, that is very weak proof indeed.
  13. I hope you are right. My gut tells me that you are, but I don't want to get my expectations up. Harper is such a shrewd tactitian and the path seems almost too obvious. It all makes me think of the old saying "if something seems too good to be true..."
  14. A little bit of an overstatement at the end there. Seriously the Liberals are very vulnerable on the environment. But to take advantage of it the Prime Minister will have to do something he doesn't like doing. Admit a mistake. Ambrose is political dead weight in the environment portfolio. If he ends up putting Prentice in the portfolio and empowers him to come up with a workable plan on global warming then the Conservatives will be looking very good in the next election.
  15. Typical slothfulness. Too much effort to actually look up the posts? You win sir. If you won't back up your claims. Will hurl insults without admitting it that is great. I'm sure you'll tire of it like you did on November 6th. Living smug in the satisfaction of your great victory while oblivious to the vauous nature of your existence.
  16. You called me arrogant and said I had a yellow streak. How is that not starting a fight? Did I dumb that one down enough for you champ?
  17. Seems like a pretty explicit statement of Palestinian land. Remember you questioned my calling it disputed land. Are you trying to get away from your falsehood now? Exactly. You brushed it off. Just finished finals and you have time to pick fights again? To prove your superiority in your imaginary world where your falsehoods aren't easily seen through? Have fun sir. Your agreements are without foundation. When you do move out of your parents' basement you will find the world a much harsher place. I have stayed well within the rules of the board. I will not continue to engage you, as it is tiring to both myself and all other thoughtful posters on the board. The last word is yours sir! Congratulations!
  18. So when I use question a posters motivations and lack of support for their assertions I am trying to start a fight but when you attack me personally you are just giving your opinion? How does that double-standard work?
  19. So many of you will be eating your words when the Liberals sweep back in. Look at the rolling averages ... what you see there, amigos, is momentum. The key stories to watch in the article you posted ask some very good questions. Yet you ignore them and post a line about the Liberals sweeping back in. Do you have a response to those questions?
  20. You called me *obnoxious* and said I had a *yellow streak* on post 30 of this thread. After admittedly badgering me for a day you sent me this PM on November 5th at 3:30 PM. Who is trying to start the fight?
  21. You made an explicit claim. You referred to *Israeli occumpation of Palestinian land*. Why don't you enlighten us with that substantiation again? Something tells me you'll brush this off because the proof you offered originally was so lacking. That was one PM. Again trying to change subject. No house of cards. Just your house of faleshoods. Gerryhatrick has been suspended. Nothing to do with me. Or maybe my zealousness was in the pursuit of a just end.
  22. Why? You never cite your sources for anything. What's good for the goose...
  23. The poster you are *standing up for* has been suspended. Your self-appointed role as defender of the belligerent left is quite sad really.
  24. Ah ah, that would be picking a fight. So the insult isn't picking a fight, but justifying the insult would be? Sounds like you have no basis for your foul words. Which claims? Here are two unsubstantiated claims to start. Claim #1. The disputed land is not universally recognized as Palestinian. Or are you saying that Israel does not have a right to exist because of the nature of the original UN decision to grant a Jewish state? Claim #2. The widespread acceptance of "Destruction of Wealth" as a term in the financial services industry. False. The date was November 5th. Here is the text of the PM you sent me after "putting me in my place". You sir are the bully. Anymore attempted falsehoods you want me to catch you in?
  25. So wheat-buyers in the U.S. have inflated the market price of wheat just to force an end to the CWB. Then they will let the price fall to the natural level once they have attained their nefarious goal? Hmmm, what is the term for that? Tinfoil hat wearer? Ahh that old chestnut of the left. If we don't like it just cry GW Bush and it has to be bad. How about telling that line to the many, many, many farmers who support the Harper Government in this CWB fight? Do give names of *treacherous MPs* who you predict will lose in the next election and the parties that will defeat them.
