  1. At some point the Canadian majority will get sick and tired of these attack ads. Most people I know are already sick of seeing political ads outside of an election campaign.
  2. Ya, especially on things like how terrible it is for elected officials to be crossing the floor, or the horror of the Govt. use of military aircraft, or how bad it is to be appointing unelected members to the senate, not taxing income trusts, protecting all non renewable provincial resources from equalization, Govt. transparency...
  3. Then go find a mirror and look into it. I guarantee you'll see one. Thus exposed is the intellectual brilliance of the Left on this site. Oh so witty and original, Remiel! Can I write that down for future ages to use? Hahaha I always have to laugh when you get self-righteous. You refer to some people as "nut jobs" and then mock a similar comment, when it's made in your direction. Pot meet kettle. Kettle, pot. Another towering intellectual of the Left. Whatever happened to left wingers who had a grasp on politics and reality and could put a case here with a degree of intelligence and dignity? I can think of maybe 2 out of about ten regularly posting left wingers here who don't come across as shrill emotional fools wrapped in delusion and ignorance. LMFAO Thank you for proving my point Argus.
  4. See there is that comprehension problem kicking in again. You need to reread what he actually said. I still don't see that as worship. The point was that your rhetoric was unfounded. You haven't provided any support. If you really insist on shouting people down then you truly do win. Ya you don't see a lot of things when it comes to Harper do you? Uh my "rhetoric" was and is proven, by Harper's own statement. Just because your Harper-coloured glasses won't let you see it doesn't mean it isn't true. This isn't that "last word" BS again is it?
  5. So by praising the United States he is worshipping the American Right? OK, pal I guess you win. See there is that comprehension problem kicking in again. You need to reread what he actually said.
  6. But I am worthy of six responses? I am trying to weasel out and you call me by some random name? So you have no support for saying that Harper worshipped the American Right? No, but just for S&G's I was kind. Atleast you admit to trying to weasel out of it. That must be a big step for you. There is nothing random in that name and you know it. OK I wasted the 10 seconds it took. Ya, no worshipping here. Speeking to the Council for National Policy he said the following. "...your country, and particularly your conservative movement, is a light and an inspiration to people in this country and across the world." Kind of like how Jesus "is a light and inspiration" to millions.

  8. I denied he worshipped the American right. Please see your original statement. Now will you answer my question? Nice try to weasel out of it. You haven't changed Ricki. No I won't answer your question you are not worthy of an answer.
  9. Why don't you answer me first? Do you deny that Harper praised the American Right?
  10. So you have a severe comprehension problem? Oh no a typo. Oops the end of the world has finally come. So you aren't going to deny he said someting like that so I can make a fool of you? Go on, just deny he ever said anything like that. Go on. What are you afraid of? It would be lost on you.
  11. I see you have trouble understanding written English. Repetion can be a sign of losing one faculties. Enjoying the ride to droolsville? You want to officially deny he said anything like that, so I can make a fool of you? Come on now, you must have a few examples of him dressing inapproriately on your ceiling.
  12. The average Calgarian makes $10k more a year than the average Torontonian. Why would you spend your marketing dollars on that city when people in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver are far more wealthy and spending 20% more on recreation than those in Toronto. Disposable income is something Westerners statistically have a lot more of. Sources: http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/famil107a.htm, http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/famil10a.htm But the GTA has more people than those three areas combined. That trumps the additional disposable income. http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/demo05a.htm
  13. Yes. You are pathetic. Ya just let me check the copy I keep under my pillow. What are you smoking? With your idolization of him I'm surprised you don't have every word he has spoken memorized by date an subject. Being able dress yourself appropriately I consider a basic sign of competency.
  14. Have you actually read the firewall letter? I'm guessing not. It just advocates Alberta pushing its constitutional rights to opt out of any number of Federal programs. We will probably end up with an APP to replaces the RCMP soon enough. Do you think I would reference the Firewall letter if I hadn't read it. Shows what kind of standards you have. Did he not say the American right was a shining light, or beacon or some other drivel. I think he did. You have to be pretty incompetent to get dressed up like Goober-the-sheep-shagger ang go out for a public appearance.
  15. Just more of the same. It is unfortunate that the Right has no other alternative. They will be voting in a liberal Govt. whether they like it or not.
  16. This Govt. Accountable???? LMFAO Ethical? Honest? Equally funny. The only thing this Govt. has maintained since being elected is their two new Mantras "But we're not as bad as the previous Liberal Govt." (fast becoming debatable) and "The Liberals did it too." (pathetic justification, when the CPC ranted on how much better than the Liberals they were) Integrity was the biggest part of their moral campaign. That only lasted a few days until they bought Emerson. The only reasons I needed to not vote for Harper are from his past. The comments made about Canada and his Firewall around Alberta BS, and his worshipping of the American Right-wing pretty much painted an ugly picture. The only worse picture was him in that Cowboy hat. Holy Creepy Batman, hide sheep here comes Happy Harper looking for some lovin'. lol Currently I wouldn't vote for him just from watching him in Question period, plus some of his policies I find are a total joke. He has shown himself to be no different from the previous Govt. and a huge hypocrite (Harpercrite) to boot, engaging in several things he railed against while opposition leader. I like #44 on Garth's list. I wonder how many times he put it on there, then decided he had better bump it down the list. I bet it started off in the top 10, maybe the top 5. Hell in reality it is his #1 reason for doing any of this.
  17. Why the hell are parents getting all this money thrown at them when additional kids raise the overall cost of education and healthcare? People who decide not to burden society with their spawn should be the ones getting a kickback. Sure raising a child is tough and expensive, and I am all for making sure a child has a good environment to grow up in, but constantly rewarding people for having children when they are already enjoying the relatively free education and basic healthcare provided by the rest of the country who have already raised their kids, haven't had any yet or don't plan on having any at all is getting frustrating. People without kids should be the ones getting a bonus every month, for not clogging up the doctors office or overcrowding our schools.
  18. Just where is 145 HELL?
  19. Ah, where would we be if jbg didn't jump to the defense of Ricki, or someone who may not even be Ricki but just sounds like it could be him.
  20. LMAO yup that sure sounds like Ricki. hahahahahaha
  21. If MacKay lost his seat, I'm sure he could always get a job at Magna. I hear he has an "in" with the boss's daughter.
  22. Ya that's all we freaking need, another "Liberal" Party.
  23. I have been trying to explain to people for years how even highschool for some people is a waste of time that could be better put to use as an apprentice. If you want to go to college to become a teacher, doctor or lawyer great, go finish highschool. But what is learning Shakespeare, or quadratic equations going to do for you if you want to be a mechanic, chef, hairdresser, or bricklayer? I have yet to use anything from Othello to help me in my day to day activities. The same goes for post secondary education. Do you really need 4+ years of med school to diagnose a cold or flu and prescribe penicilin? OR 4 years of Law school to write a contract? IF we specialize our education system like we have specialized our work force we could save a lot of moeny. Take the medical profession: Your doctor will send you to a specialist to diagnose your problem. Does he/she really need years of med school to schedule an appointment? What we need are people who are capable of making the most basic of diagnosis, like telling the difference between a cold and a flu. Or being able to feel if a persons glands are swollen. Or take peoples weight and blood pressure. We need some people who have the authority to prescibe antibiotics, a salve for a rash, extend a refill or if they feel it is warranted send you to someone else for further testing. I don't mean nurses. Although they would certainly have the knowledge and capabilities to perform the above mentioned tasks. I am talking about training people for 12-18 months in school, before getting them into an apprenticeship where they learn on the job under super vision. Basically this would make todays doctor the first level of specialist. Antibiotics don't work, you get sent to the Doctor. If you are required to see another specialist, say a cardiologist, your test results, and you, would go to the doctor. The treatment the doctor orders would then be under the supervision of this new medical professional who would be given guidelines as to what to look for as far as side effects go, and to take care of possible blood work or other testing. Only if abnormalities showed up would you then be sent back to the doctor, for rediagnosis or a change in treatment. The Doctors have the knowledge. What they don't have is the time. If the time consuming day to day mundane aspects of being a family doctor can be passed on to someone less expesnive, then the overall cost of healthcare would go down. Instead of paying for a doctor who has to recover 4 years of expensive medical school you would be seeing someone who is only paying off less than 2 years schooling. Oops, I guess this went a bit off topic. Ummm I will say yes this budget will help solve the declining popluation. After screwing half the country there is bound to be a spike in pregnancies.
  24. I just liked the Pink Panther theme music.
