Any riding outside of the city center is conservative. This goes for Ontario. If they are concentrating all their calls to 416, 613, and 905 then of course you're going to see Liberals/NDP getting the nod. I suggest they call in proportian to polical riding.

Both were horrible.. I just can't forgive Mulroney for the GST. He did prove to be righ though. Canada was moving to a service based country rather than manufacturing. That money enabled the Chretien to have the extra money to pay off the debt. I hate how Chretien split up our country in minorities and realized if he did this he could get votes and stay in power this way. Here we are in a country with our own citizens dying from healtchare waiting lists and organ transplants and we have Dion professing to the mere mortals that the top issue for us is climate change. I'd give my left leg to move out of Canada and go to the US. It would be a dream for me. I don't feel like I belong in this country. Oh well. I already looked into leaving years back and found out just how difficult it was. A company really does have to sponsor you in and you have to meet very stiff qualifications. On work permits you get access to 0 services. Nothing, nadda, nothing. Your spouce is not even allowed to work. Even if you do go there to work, you are getting your butt sent back to where you came from when your workers permit expires.. I see Canada as a negative, dictator style country not run for the people, but by elites. I see most people here not as decision makers, but as 'brainwashed' by social engineering of a political party. The Iraq war is stopping because the American people want it to. Think about it.

All the Liberal leaders in a dictatorship style love to talk about their 'vision of Canada'. So here's mine. I think I've learned a lot of things here from some people and I think I may have been wrong this whole time. I believe these 7 things will factually make Canada greater than any country in the world: 1 - Remove borders to allow anyone in and out of the country. Forget about passports and border security and immigration. Let's allow anyone from any country to come. This will expand national revenue, help build more schools, and it will especially bring so much skilled labor to Canada that we desperately need. The kind of skilled labor that we have an amazing shortage of. 2 - Recognize all credentials and force employers to hire those who come here looking for a better life. Forget about our life, it's about their lives after all. It's their dream, not ours. So I suggest that employers be forced to hire someone with the credentials. For instance, if someone shows that they have completed med school from Islamabad, then they MUST be hired at a hospital. There is no reason this can't be done. 3 - Not only providing free healthcare, but building hospitals outside Canada to help those more needy. Not everyone can afford a plane ticket to come here, so I feel that we should extend our healthcare system in other 3rd world countries like Africa, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. This way, we could hire doctors from those countries to work in our hospitals abroad and we can pay for it back home. 4 - English/French elimited as our language. I feel that French adn English holds us back. We should become a multi-lingual country (officially) so all languages are official and all gov't documentation is in all languages of the world. CPAC should also be translated in these languages too. 5 - Remove any dealings with the US. The US is an evil that has done Canada nothing but harm. We should stop our dealings with the US and concentrate on dealing with great allies of Canada like China, India, south Lebannon, Pakistan, Samolia, and Palistine. Once all the people from those countries move here, business realations would get better between these countries and we would gain so much wealth?? DON'T YA SEE? Good idea eh? 6 - Stope mining for oil and focus on greenhouse gasses. Nothing should be more important than greenhouse gasses as the #1 issue for all of us. Oil, power generation, and cars should be banned and we should ride bycicles and use solar pannels like Jack Layton. This would save the world and Canada can do it! 7 - Remove the word 'Canadian'. We don't need to be 'Canadian' anymore because it degrades someone who is Punjabi that has come here from India and might cause some unfrairness. We shall call ourselves by our heritage names like dogs. For instance, I could be a Lebanese x Irish. Betsy can be a British, geoffry can be German x Scottish. This would be much more fair.

HE ALSO CAME WHEN HE WAS 23, JOINED THE MILITARY AND FAUGHT IN WORLD WAR 2, RECEIVED MEDALS OF HONOUR, OPENED A BUSINESS AND EMPLOYED CANADIANS, MADE HIS MILLIONS, AND HELPED THE ECONOMY. HE DIDN'T COME FROM PAKISTAN, GET COACHED BY AN IMMIGRATION CONSULTANT, LIE ON HIS APPLICATION, USE FREE HEALTHCARE, HAVE 5 KIDS AND COLLECT $500 PER CHILD, AND PROMISE TO VOTE LIBERAL IN EXCHANGE FOR BEING LET INTO THE COUNTRY. Maybe you should look this up. It's too time consuming to look all these things up and keep proving myself right. Yes I have a problem with our current immigration system because it's way outdated, too leanient, and is around just to sacure political votes for a single party of Canada, of which, to now suprise, is the most succesful poltical franchise in history. I hope when Harper wins the next minority gov't he gives immigrant families anohter $100 so he can win Ontario and BC. Then he'll be in a majority where he can slam the breaks on immigrantion and completely reform the system. Keep in mind that Monte Solberg was the critic for Finance. That's obviously important. But he was placed as Minister of Immigration. Think about it.

Roofing is low paying labor that is always in demand. Call any roofing, moving, or landscaping company and your hired. Experienced seniors and mangement positions are always in demand. These positions are usually very hard to find the right person for and don't apply to most of it. Find a non senior medical supply sales rep and it will take 6 months to find someone. These positions are always around but don't apply to the masses. Yes. many documents in frames that have proved worthless. I'm one of the weirdo's that do not beleive education will get a job (omitting gov't of course). He should be getting paid more it sounds. Delearships are always hiring sales reps. Just like futureshop is always hiring sales reps. It's always been like that. Let's talk about office white collar jobs that pay +$52,000 that are in super demand.. i guess there must be a lot of them right? Maybe they should pay more to their employees? Are they refugees or immigrants? If they are immigrants, they are required to speak English or French. They also require to have a doctor's examination. If an immigrant sponsors a relative in, they have to pay the government to do so. They are also on the hook for three to ten years for their financial needs. Nice try. Seniors being sponsored in are now no longer required to take English testing. Volpe did this to grasp for votres nearing the end of the election so that rule has been changed. If you are marrying or common low then you don't need to speak english at all. Lol.. I mean your being rediculous.. Have you been a china town? And there are exceptionsto the rules about the 3-10 years. And don't you dare tell me that they pay the gov't to do so becasue at the end of the day we spend 2.5 billion on immigration. They DO PAY fees yes, but we pay 2.5B to fund the dept. And Harper and Dion will keep lifting fees to get votes. You know, you don't really understand the demographics of your own country. You don't understand why the Liberals are even sitting in Parlement. You don't understand the real reasons why the Liberals are ahead in the polls. You really have your head in the sand when it comes to your own country.

Anther thing also to consider is that Canada is now 75% service industry oriented (aka low paying jobs). We don't have the backroom white collar/high paying jobs anymore to support a fat lifestyle like we used to. The reason why these immigrants aren't getting jobs is not soley based on the fact that their credentials aren't recognized, it's because we simply don't have the amount of jobs they are looking for. The jobs DO exist, but not in the numbers to hand out a nice job to hundreds of thousands that come here each year. Thus, we are letting in people who can't support a home and family and thus 52% of all immigrants after 5 years of landing are living in poverty. When there is a real shortage of jobs (not a hyped or imagined one), then employers will ask for basic skills and allow you to learn on the job. During the tech bubble, many, many immigrants were coming from China and India into Ottawa and getting jobs at Nortel. Many copanies were doing 'phone interviews' and you basically got promised the job before you got in the province. That's because there was a real shortage of employees. This is a real shortage of work. When employers are positng 'entery level' positions demanding 3 years experience, a degree, and little pay, there is NO job shortage. Instead, 80 Candidates goign for one job (happened in my case) and willing to work for $28,000 a year just to be given the 'chance' to get experience. This is what's happening now and this is not a postive for our country in any way, shapre, or form. It's just supply and demand. We have more people coming here than there are good jobs to go around so they have to take what they call 'survival jobs'. Becaue after all, they are 'entitled' to white collar jobs right out of the airport just because they have a 'degree' and are financially more elite than their counterparts back home who are starving and illiterate. Please please please come out to BC. We can't find enough employees. If you're breathing your hired! Every single one of my clients is having a really tough time finding breathers. So get out here to Lotus Land -- not only is the weather good, so's the pay! Really? Wow I never knew.. So what job shortages are there in BC that can't be filled? I guess If I go to workopolis there will be a lots of entry level white collar positions that pay well right? What sectors are doing well in BC that you simply can't find enough people to work? Telemarkting, Tim Hortons, a cart boy at the grocery store?

Oh so basically a fundamentalist with dual citiizenship plays with heat, gets him self accidently on fire, and now $37,000,000 of our tax dollars is going to make him and his family rich so Harper can by votes from the Islamic community. There is truth to that. The youth Liberal party team or whatever they are decided last year that the most important issue to them was to allow red light districts and control prostitution, gambling, and dope. Wow guys.. you got the right mindset. The libs also want to legalize pot too and tax it. It was never a priotiry though but they were getting there. I don't think Dion will like the pot idea very much... well.. then again.. he is a teacher. I would say Canada aspires to be like Holland but with even higher taxes and mass, mass, mass immigration to the pont where we are all living in state run apartments a la communist style.

Hold up my friend. What's the participation rate difference between the two? Your numbers are meaningless without that figure... maybe the participation rate is 100% with the immigrants... in which case they are significantly more employed than your average Canadian. Many people just give up on working in Canada... barely even 1/2 of Newfies are even looking for jobs. The participation rate is 70%. And yes, people don't realize just how unemployed/underemployed our nation is. (did I just say nation?) In the US, you get a diploma, you get a white collar job. End of story. In Canada, everyone has a degree or diploma and you get a low paying job. I was looking at a job today that required detailed experience with 3-5 years and a degree for $40,000. I was lauging at the patheticness of our situation. People can't find jobs becuase THERE ARE NONE.

Because Preston Manning under the reform party knew this and wanted to lessen immigration to 150,000 people a year. He was labeled a racist party for this. Harper also knows what is happening, but when the number 1 election issue for immigrants is sponsoring over loved ones, you simply cannot threaten these votes. The ONLY way Harper will win a majority is if he catores to immigrants. For instance, if he gave all immigrants $100 a month, he could have bought his way into a majority this time around. Any immigrant populous seat in Canada voted Liberal. They only got in through immigrant votes (exception are some Quebec seats). Go look it up. But he can't let go of his principles and I know that he and his party do not take kindly to the current immigration policy but what are they to do? They don't want to jepordise their majority possibility. They also do not take kindly to Islam. Pandering to the unsubstantial jewish vote is not politically wise. He should have sided with Islam and pandered to those votes. He would have one my rididng. But he just can't fake 'eating the three eyed fish' (Mr. Burns - the Simpsons). A majority for the CPC is simply not possible at this point in time unless there is a major shift from the immigrant vote. Thus, you will see the CPC pandering to the immigrant vote as much as they can and hopefully they will get on board and we can finally have a majority gov't. Let's all be thankfull for that.
