All hearsay, hype, and third world reporting which I completley ignore. I would also like to see the name of the author that wrote this article. Read the Indian newspapers and you will be shocked at how they just make stuff up out of thin air. It's really, really, corrupt and politically oriented.

Well if you watched the video with the sound on and actually saw it you would see that these kids are not 'well-adjusted'. Why not see the video in my sig and see if the kids in the GTA look 'well adjusted' to you.

Yes they do. Once a month there is mass. Out of the whole school, there will be about 3-4 kids whose parents don't want them sitting in the auditoriom so the kids will wait in a nearby classroom or if they are older get a spare. Yes. They are pretty much no different then public schools. You can take other classes. The seperate schoolboard can't deny anyone.

Self hatred. There should not be. These schools have had incidents of promoting terrorism as in Ottawa. Thus, the schools are not allowed to protect Canadian security. One bad apple ruins the bunch. Trudeau was Canada's bad apple. He ruined the bunch (canada). Same logic applies. Yes it will. Judism and Christianity will have preference. It's what our liberal, western democrocy is based off. Canada is not a funded by, nor a nation of Islam (yet). In traditional Ignatieff, Liberal, Self-hating, ideological terms your right. But you know what? Being 'fair' to everyone is ideological. It's not practical, and not realit, and it's NOT NEEDED to run policy. There's no such thing as anything 'fair' in this world. Muslims want their own private school? No. Muslims want to fund their own home schooling? No. Muslims want to air an anti-Canadian broadcast on our publicly funded broadcaster? No. Muslims identify themselves as 'Canadians'? NO. Muslims should thus continue to be allowed to Canada? ____. This is my country, it's our country. It's called Canada for Canadians. When 70% of people do NOT even consider themselves Canadian, you've lost your privelage to be here. But Saturn (and seemingly Ricki) in his Liberal self destructive agenda would rather have myself, an actual Canadian who has contributed to this country my whole life rather leave Canada to make way for Islam. Yes. I would leave if I could. Canada is in a serious mess and the leadership is not there to fix it. Islam and immigration is something that the media and elite have decided we're 'not allowed to discuss'. Well, I'll continue to discuss it. You will continue to defend them and see Canada destroyed.

The gov't likes the seperate schoolboard because they are cheaper and have a lower paid staff with a less troublesome union that rarely strikes or asks for more. Are you kidding?
-
Lol oh you are so, so wrong on this. Any Pakistani family would *never* have you mix with them or get involved with their daughters. Any generation. They would never even have you in thier hous let alone.

Those are not extreme views. A good poritoin of our country most likely agrees with him so he is actually representing the people.

Gee, I wonder why that was. How could that have possibly happened? And it happened while the Conservatives gained seats in most of the other provinces. Maybe Westerners, at least those west of the Rockies, have little use for Stephen Harper. I know, they have to make sure nothing jepordizes their ailing parents waiting to get sponsored into Canada. This is called loss of politiical power for Canadians. If they Liberals get their way, they will saturate Alberta with immigrants and turn it Liberal. Volpe basically said this during the last election. This was what Martin was hoping for. But I hope this happens for all that laugh at me and insult me from Alberta. They can see how truly, truly destructive this policy is to Canadians.

Amazing. We need MORE of this in this country!

The Conservative agenda and the ethnic vote
mikedavid00 replied to Saturn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Like what? Like this. Using such big font is psychotic and strange. The following is just weird and random. Define 'functioning'? So becuase I use big fonts I have screws lose when this forum is a means of entertainment to begin with? I find my statements to be credible about that show and stand by those statements. I don't think those staments deserve the comments that i have 'issues'. I define Alberta as functioning because -the gov't acts on behalf of the people, -the people in Alberta have political power, -the people in Alberta have culture, -and Alberta takes in a very tiny fraction of immigrants which helps ensure white collar jobs for Albertans. All those things combined results in Alberta functioning. Ontario is a true and utter mess. So is Quebec, the east coast, and BC. Ok here's how my day has been so far: -Woke up. Turned on the radio and heard the 'immigration hour'. A caller calls in crying because she can't bring her sister over from the third world and is begging for help. -So then I leave to go to Walmart. I almost get in 20 accidents because poeple here simply do not know how to drive. They are clueless new drivers. Not one understanding English or the rules of our roads. -In WalMart I don't think I heard the language of English once. People with 5 children who stink around me everywhere. Odour of BO. -Then I come back home and there are vans parked all over the street with Pakistani's in ethnic costumes all parked down the street almost blocking my driveway becuase they are having a 'function' of some sort at sommeone's house. So yes, Alberta to me is functioning for more than reasons of politics and economy. -
I wish I could see this film.

Yeah, we know MD00 has issues. Like what? -
I find Alberta (and always have) to be the only 'functioning' part of Canada.

There are skilled immigants already in Alberta that can simply not find jobs. This is proveable from countless people claiming they cannot find various skilled jobs in various parts of Alberta. Too many for me to list actually. I believe that currently there are low paying labor jobs in Alberta. People (especially immigrants) do not want to work them. It's not worth anyones time to move from the east to Alberta simply to work a facroty job or another part time job. (seing as 9 out of 10 jobs created in Alberta of recent have been low paying part time jobs). Last I saw on a CBC-A story from satellite was a job agency who 'couldn't fill numbers' and had 40 open positions. Well, these were short term, low paying temp jobs for factory workers that were all calling in sick after Christmas. That's more truthful to the situation. Tim Hortons not finding employees. That's more truthful to the situation. I researched Alberta's job postings heavily while in Montreal and did not find a single suitable job. Rather, simply jobs with very high requirements for the actual position which implies no shortage. Actually very reminissent of Ottawa's market. Is this really geoffery or saturn? There are already work permits that these companies can use to hire skilled foriegn workers. They aren't doing so because there is no shortage of skilled labor. We have work permits even for unskilled work, but companies are not taking advantage of these. I guess they aren't needed 'that badly'. Companies can do telephone interviews and hire employees from out east and pay to bring them over. They did this all the time during the tech boom in the late 90's, but they do not do this in Alberta. There are reasons for this. I completley agree. I am. I think Alberta's low unemployment is due to the fact that you have taken in such a low share of immigrants throughout the years and have a more natural people vs. job ratio like the US. The economy got good in Alberta, now there is a good 'job for everyone' at this point in time. These jobs have already been filled though. These poisitions are finite. But it's at it's peak right now due to the very low creation of new full time jobs. People usually are 'late' to react when there is a stock boom, job boom, real estate boom. It's natural. People only talk when it's at its peak. Right now Alberta is at it's peak and doesn't show any viable signs of skilled shortages. In Montreal I sat with International students all rambling about Alberta. My fiance's father cut out a newspaper ad showing jobs in nursing, factory work, and other manual labor. Whoopy. Let's move to Alberta for low paying jobs. People in Alberta, Ireland, Australia, did well silently in the last couple of years. The media wasn't reporting when people moved 'up' in life these last few years. Now the low paying jobs are in demand, Tim Hortons don't have workers, and the sky has fallen. There is a new job crisis in Alberta for skilled labor. It's nonsense IMO. The media are not job experts. They specialize in printing headlines to sell newspapers. The pundits are also not experts and have no real experience. Just text book theories. They jump on bandwagons to gain visibility. Here is reality:

That's idealism. If there is an increase in pot usage (which there obviously would be) then we would see an increase of deaths and for innocent Canadians. The pot cafe's in Canada would be much more high buget, high end, and probably multi-million dollar establishments (like a good trendy resturaunt). The difference between Amsterdam and the GTA is that the majority of people would be taking 400 series highways to get to their destination and it's almost certain that there would be lives claims. Also there would be a massive new tourist industry and Toronto would basically become a red light district. We already have a drinking and driving, homeless, hard drug problem in Toronto. Legalization I think would be the straw that breaks the camels back. All Canadians should be able to decide if they want this and need to outweigh the pro's and con's. If people decide for it, than that's the will of the people and I'll agree with their desciison. Alaska: Can't we just let people do what they want in their own homes? Isn't that reasonable enought?

Yeah I knew someone would throw a joke at me

That original Senate report was very solid, other than the recommendations on 30 grams of pot for simple possession. The bill that was presented to Parliament was a half measure. Man, wouldn't that be interesting if the Conservatives followed the recommendations of the Senate and legalized pot... I don't know that the gov't should be making this discussion. If we are going to all Canada to be a nation of readily available pot at the store, I know I would have most likely gotten some over the years when I was bored. But I haven't because I don't know at all where to get it. They say that most adults use every few years when it's around. If it's readily available, people will use more. You also have to consider other citizens who won't be using pot. You have to be very careful in not infringing on others' rights. I think there should be a yes/no side to this debate becuase there are pro's and cons and the people should decide. I don't feel the gov't should do this in order for a cash grab. If pot is legalized, innocent Canadian lives will be claimed due to driving while intoxicated. That's almost a garuntee so you have to weight the pro's and con's. It will also greatly suffer our already bad relations with the US. Can't we just stick with Alaska's policy which protects personal rights?

You know what's it's like to have four wives? No.. through observation of muslim households. The wife joke is also a classic joke at muslims parties. They are boring as hell, they have punch with no alchohol. I wish I had 4 wives. One From Columbia, One from Brasil, One from Chile, and One from.. nah, another from Brasil. -
Poverty in Canada - Damn Statistics
mikedavid00 replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
While I agree and hate the Toronto Star with a passion.. (yes I saw that front page yesterday while shopping). It is with regret that I have to back that report and support it. But poverty is different to everyone. To me, if you are working a $45,000 a year job, live in a 1200sq ft semi, and do not have enough money to fix a toilet problem (true story) becuase your so up to your gills in taxes, then yes, I do believe that person is living in poverty. Or working poor. If you have $400-$800 a month to spend for yourself each month, then I consider that to be poor. Someone well off has $4000-$8000 a month to spend and these people claim they have trouble getting by. That's what I consider poor. I think Canadians are really poorer than we realize. We don't understand just how shotty our purchasing power is. Ie: in the US you can work a clerical job paying $40,000 a year with no education required, buy your own house, and lease a new BMW. All on a single income. In Canada, this is just not possible. -

With Muslim men in Canada, instead of "These are my 3 wives" it's usually "This is my wife and this is her sister and this is their cousin". Those are some pretty wild allegations, Through experience, I have to back Saturn on this. However, these will be the lower class that are not here to work. The educated and working people do not have several wives in Canada for the most part as it's more taboo in their social ciricles. -
The Conservative agenda and the ethnic vote
mikedavid00 replied to Saturn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's true. The majoity of Muslims I have known have had a one wife. The family I bought this house from had 2 wives and my best friend in childhood from Samolia had a second wife. It goes on a lot in Canada, it's just not legal. It's also used to fraud welfare to increase number of children (10 kids were in this house, nobody working, everyone on benefits - got envelopes in mail after they moved out. I also got bedbugs from these people. They were Palistinians. I estimate the most likely collected over $5000 easily in welfare payments). I completely disagree with that statement. I would say the Sikh's would be more conservative. When you include Islam, you are barking up a whole different tree. More than one wife in Canada and amongst the educated in Islamic countries is considered 'low class'. However, go down to Islamabad and you will see husbands with 8 wives that have purchased and are basically slaves and not allowed to leave the house. This is valid within Islam. Women are property to serve men. Islam does have some good qualities after all! -
Man, you really are a wacko nut job. You should seek help. I found your loony claims funny at first, simply annoying later, but at this point I'm concerned about you. aww.. your not going to make me spend 2 hrs tommorow on gathering cites to show proof that the Iraq war was a paranoid response to the Anthrax scare that was mainly brought on by the media asking questions on a DAILY basis "and what about Sadam?". The media and then Amermican people wanted to take out all their aggresion and attack someone so why not Sadam who had been a long time problem. Finding cites to back these will be very time consuming. Yes. I say the war an Iraq was a media 'driven' campaign in a response to the Antharax Scare. The whitehouse where the last people to jump on board. You know.. i wish there was a bigger Michael Moore conspiracy of why they went after Sadam. There wasn't. To be honest, Sadam brought it on himself by not co-operating with inspectors and playing the games he did for nearly a year.

Satrun, Why not look at this link of a public school in Texas. Pay special attention to what the girl with the white hijab says: Do you think this is a postive thing? Even in Texas American secularism is not powerful enough to integrate these muslim kids. When you mix Islam with south asian culture (some consider this to be the most self-praised, xenephobic culture in the world), you have Pakistani. The worst of both worlds.
