  1. No I mean pumping the suckers out and the US buying from Canadian manufacturers, that put all the parts together, as well as the Canadian Government. The point is the US would NEVER allow the planes to be produced in Canada. They control the technology, it is their project. This plane is not Canada's plane. Canada has no reason to go all in on a plane it can't build in its own territory, and can't modify without permission to do so. It is just stupid that is my point. We both clearly know it is a US project and a US plane, with the US having first and last say on what happens with it, even after the point of purchase. I don't give two sh1ts about licensing and all this crap that is just other words for raping the tax payer and lining pockets of rapists. Its no suprise the programs of countries like Russia and China are a fraction of the cost of the f35 as well production is a fraction of the cost. It is just a US money grab for the American military industrial complex, Canadian tax payers shouldn't be flushing their money down the toilet like that if they can't control their use of technology and build the whole plane within Canada, repair the plane fully within Canada, and modify the technology and adapt it as they want. This is the same IP bs that Canada faces because of IP law that unfairly disadvantages Canadians, and other small nations that can't rule the global IP world. The federal government is a bunch of stooges they should be blocking IP takeovers instead they are handing it out.
  2. He solicited for his private organization on city letterhead, that is called fraud (misrepresentation). The problem was that he voted and deliberated on an issue involving his personal monetary interest that were raised from city resources without city permission. He refused to return the funds (which nothing prevented from the persons making the donation to redonate the funds. Instead he refused to repay the funds and continued to use his work time to solicit funds for his private organization. You say but he's not gaining a financial interest. Well he is. he is getting free very expensive publicity. I would hope you can see any MP or even the PM soliciting funds for the conservative party on Government of Canada letterhead is a big no no. It makes it look like the government is supporting / backing /authorizing the solicitation. You just cannot do that, it is illegal. It is a form of fraud.
  3. Although gold does look convincing carrying around gold in a foreign country does not look too convincing. I like to be able to use it easy.. I'm not sure the oro exchange houses in mexico will offer as good a rate of the market on trade in.. anyone know how the gold and platinum and silver shops in mexico handle exchange likehow much value will be lost in converting usd to gold then converting it back for cash at a latter date?
  4. Don't be stupid you know what I mean.
  5. Whose call, I've lived in NS before, I'm not sure what you mean by their, it is part of Canada, who is suppose to care? Its like saying Quebec independence doesn't have anything to do with the rest of Canada. It changes Canada's federation and constitution. I think any constitutional change effects me so yes I do think it matters to me. Some places more than others.
  6. I didn't say parts I said production full assembly of the F-35 in Canada and export it to the US. Sounds good?
  7. Sure if a factory is built to put the parts together at here in Canada. Hoarding all Intellectual property through takeovers and buying up the physical infrastructure of the Canadian defence sector doesn't help Canada build its own planes or sell them to the US.
  8. They need to get rid of public servants regardless, they need to create functioning crown corporations. The bottom line is they need to either create exports or lower their cost of living, if they expect unemployment rates to maintain or increase. You can't expect restructuring to magically solve your problems if restructuring doesn't address the cause of the problems. They need to reform their unemployment problems to turn them into employment programs. There is no unemployment if work can be made but work has to address the Cost of Living issue and the export market, otherwise it is just passing the buck. Having common service agreements is much different than merging legislatures, courts and crowns.
  9. There is a slight difference with the Navy Contracts -- they are made in Canada. Although I do question the specifics of the program they are a step up from buying American jets for the Canadian Forces. The Americans would never buy Canadian jets for the US military's fighter. So I don't see why Canadians should pay for American equipment if the Americans won't reciprocate it. The US is all take and no give. The American contracts are too restricted to use them as a sole source of fighter support. Canada doesn't need 65 of them.
  10. j f c No. It is a stupid idea. If they can't solve their individual problems god help them on their collective problems.
  11. I think this is a ludicrist proposition. While establishing a maratime interprovincial economic organization makes sense, the revisitation of the constitution is just too problematic and unnecessary.
  12. Its real, get over it, the isreali's still have a better deal than they did under the Belfour declaration. It means they are a state within the UNO.
  13. I wasn't being annoying or mean, I was stimulating debate. Look it up on internet meme's r us. http://knowyourmeme....ltures/trolling I'm never out to anger people, I'm all about spreading the love. Some people just happen to be mental tightwads. They need to come to terms and gain some acumen. They have this us vs. them mindframe that evades the fact I really couldn't care less, and if I'm on a side it is one I havn't actively engaged in. Its just the way it is, live with it, and get a grip and a non-fabricated reality and by fabricated reality I mean one that doesn't represent a reality that is misinformed or nonapplicable to a functioning tommorrow. People who are both retentive and trying to create a world to suit their needs need to gtfo because they are justing ruining it for the real people around here. I can take dialogue and debate but the other people that tend to harass reasonable people around here resort to character assassination when they realize they are wrong on the issue of discussion. That is where they clearly show themselves as trolls rather than contributors. Hopefully this clears up the issue for you.
  14. http://www.reuters.c...E8AS05E20121129 This is a big move... imo. I'm actually very currious if anything will come of it. snip ****
  15. please don't troll here is a scooby snack. http://www.thestar.c...l-and-palestine Right the BBC has shoddy journalism.. (joke) hold on http://www.cbc.ca/ne...-palestine.html Heres a song talking about the plight of palastine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFSLFBAJdBI This is canada's no vote. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlZQYZZtAHk
  16. Such a mixed signal, the PM and party were all, maternal health, then they came on and knocked down a bill that would provide low cost generic drugs to Africa, something they spend $400 million dollars on annually. it is nonsensical. http://www.theglobea...article5759286/ $400 million is a pretty good chunk of money to trim from the deficit, why add half a billion in debt that doesn't need to be there annually?
  17. Who the hell would vote conservative if they wern't conservative? I'm conservative (fiscally and personally but not in view of social policy) and I don't even vote conservative. p.s. Anyone else wearing their body armour tommorrow?
  18. I think managing the US budget and removing the debt is much more complex than the Canadian budget, but I think I could balance it and remove the debt. The main issue however is that it would just offload to the states who would then be forced to scale down their operations. It is clear though, a place to start is prisons. Toomany americans are in jail, they should just make a colony. Like Micronesia or wake island or something. Second, the US should support militias. and concentrate more on mutual destruction as opposed to foreign intervention. At the same time it could stop spending ridiculous amounts of money on R&D and cut Intellectual property law. Meanwhile it should gut the public service - by mass privatization. It also needs to have direct debt paydown. By a death tax, and a junkfood tax (including coffee someething like 5 cents) It needs to legalize drugs but tax them heavily especially heroine and cocaine and sell directly as amonopoly. they could make federal agencies voluntary. and impose the death penalty for any felonies. Instead of raising taxes they can take two steps, one super inflate the currency by cutting off foreign imports. andsecond by introducing a new currency the Amero with the picture of a bullet on one side and the president on the other (maybeonly a sligth cost saver) tied to silver and gold bullion of course. Nationalization of the banks is a last ditch effort. Hyper inflation and a new currency are the only answers. You can't make money a private monopoly to produce and expect not to go into debt, it is absurd. If you want money just tax the lenders it is a no brainer. The system is designed for failure because it was designed by the lender. Every fiat country/organization has been shut down. Tamil tigers, osama, gadaffi's AU gold dinar (partially), liberty dollars, the list goes on. Fiat is the answer. congress can mint silver. commodities continue to increase in price (in comparison of the US dollar) its clear the US can make more money making silver fiat than dollars because it increases in value not depreciates.
  19. Anyone here have any idea how january 2nd will effect US currency (or the period leading up to it) I have some US dollars and I should be in Mexico, so I'm wondering if I should convert them into Pesos to keep their value
  20. Ford deserved it but I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in office for a bit.
  21. most plastic bags are a waste. I don't like them. But they are useful some times. I don't support stifling business but the government should make proactive messures for eco bags. Like giving $10 a year tax rebate to buy a reusable hemp shoping bag, or other durable fabric such as cordura etc.. or one time $50 rebate, with the city selling the bags. $50 off property taxes to buy a bag that the city sells. "Keep Toronto Clean" or I love GREEN in TORONTO, etc.. this little measure will pay for itself in no time. The governments just not being proactive, and is attacking business instead of out competing them with public subsidies for change in public habits.
  22. Which ones of your arn't conservative? Also what are your reasons for supporting a "no" vote.
  23. Are you both happy you get to be loosers tommorow. Why don't you join the good guys?
  24. Hi hudson, a no vote is a mistake for Canada, and does not represent the Canadian publics view. Israel has committed war crimes and should be held accountable just like the US and Canada. Its disgusting NATO is an organization that supports war crimes and human rights abuses such as Israel commits. One can't expect peace when the standards existing violate human rights.
  25. where did I insult you? The problem in all this is that I was just telling it like it is. It wasn't an insult it was a statement of fact. None the less people there are a bunch of painters and smearers on this forum that seek character assasination rather than dialogue. I didn't say you didn't have reasons. I very well expect most republicans have their reasons, it doesn't make them any less traitors, nor does it make you any less disloyal. It was traitors that attacked the monarchy then, and it is traitors who attack the monarchy today. It goes against the principles of the Constitution. Holding the monarch to protect our interest is much better than attempting to be a sole monarch without any duties to the public whatsoever other than ones own agenda. I'd take a peoples monarch over a crook any day of the week. Attacking what the monarchy stands for in the legal Canadian system though in favour of Prime Ministerial republicanism is nothing to be proud of though, imo. It represents a betrayal of the public interest. If you want your own country go out and do it, but it should be founded on equality and respect, not undermining another states lawful processes.
