  1. I'm sorry but what don't you understand? I recommended helicopters and commercial flights with police, and military control of the helicopters when not used byexecs. I suggested that the execs get trained to fly the helicopters while being transported. Likewise Irecommended knocking off a few f35s and in place picking second hand fighters such as the mig-29 and mig-21's (which had very low purchase costs used) Likewise,I suggested getting 200 or so personal jets instead of one f35, and modifying it to have a human fired SAM or two of them and/or AtS missiles (or cannisters, machine gun etc..) as well as input a computer guidance system operating from a novel AI, and training VIPs to fly them. Like a car only it flies and goes 5 or more times as fast. (the personal gets that cost 1/2 million have about 200-400 of them. use them for flight trainers while your at, it rent some of them them out I figure that 400 of these should provide a few per airport http://en.wikipedia....ports_in_Canada Man if you cut out the "luxury" of the flight, it will reduce flight hours to only need based fights. The second part was criticism should another major conference occur in Canada that for the price of security you could make flotilla of luxury and utility yatch's and other boats and hold the G20 on lake ontario as opposed to downtown toronto. Like for instance this MI-24 is 500,000 from Bulgaria MI-24 US$ 500,000 Like common half a million for a hind? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-24 True the flight distance may only be 500km but if you leapfrom from airport to airport using a few different aircraft it is good to go. Likewise for most vip's 500km should be more than close enough to where they need to go and the next commerical flight to international locations.
  2. Yeah and Canada blew up lots of civllians to further its objectives. What is your point? Israel is still assasinating its political foes. Freedom of association. You are so brainwashed into seeing terrorism as evil when it is clear that it is no different than collatoral damage enacted by Canada and is allys in their constant war and that is much less sacrificial to the person carrying out the act. Wake up and realize Israel has supported appartheid and a religious totalitarian government in Israel which is took over through terrorism and war, subjugating millions of arabs muslims under a constitituion that holds Jewish law as supreme. What don't you get? Israel doesn't even support equality. It is a Jewish supremicist state, like the Aryan nazi's only for Jews instead. It falls far short of Canada's human rights and civil liberties. Until Israel allows for basic freedoms and human rights... Freedom in so called terrorist organizations is directed toward a cause that does entail liberation from opression. The same is true of countries that have organizations that object to their puppet governments giving the USA rights to commit human rights crimes, murder and rape without legal repercussion. If you are going to criticize freedom, atleast know who the group restraining freedom stands for. If it doesn't meet our standards of civil liberties, perhaps not supporting anyone is a better position than supporting human rights abusers and religious fundamentalist states.
  3. I find it hilarious they attached a nuclear warhead to a rocket by 4 metalic bolts.
  4. must be strong glass on the truck.. that is pretty impressive..... not a big advance to put it on a swivel that can take the firing stress and assign autotracking target designation by sensor input or point and click visual intercept based on speed approximation etc... These things looked designed to suppliment artillary.
  5. Of course they could be upgraded with AI's and auto target designators these days, re predators.
  6. Bombardier is packed for its orders for the mid term. The orders likely wouldn't be able to be filled in time to replace the outgoing challengers. It'd be better off for them to just buy some of these and rennovate.. http://www.jameslist.com/jets?ref=icon Fact is though we have regular flights and just buying the CF (or rcmp) some helicopters and having those fly execs to the nearest airport should fullfill needs 99%.. its not like execs need to be that mobile. If a helicopter and regular flight by air ambulance, police helicopter or cf helicopter isn't sufficient in an emergency, it is a joke. They'd be better off leasing when needed or buying a regular coach or first class ticket on their sheltered company air canada. Hard sell to protect it if they don't use it themselves. The air is one of the most dangerous places to be during an emergency (without air escort) You can buy one of these for the cost of a challenger flight http://www.jameslist...for-sale-510227 You can probably buy all these for the cost of one challenger and put them at major regional airports for police operations and emergencies Eurocopter EC120 Colibri € 650,000 Bell 230 € 577,545 Bell 206 € 531,341 Bell 206 € 404,282 Bell 206 € 381,180 Bell 206 € 369,629 Eurocopter AS355 Ecureuil 2/Twi.. € 369,629 Bell 206 € 337,286 Bell 206 € 334,976 Bell 206 € 320,000 Robinson R44 € 304,174 Kamov Ka-26 € 246,419 Robinson R44 Clipper I € 173,264 2007 Robinson R44 Raven II for Sale Click on Thumbnails to enlarge. For each f35 scrapped you can aquire 200 of these... with AI guidance and alitimiter and ground sensing and preampped landform from a simple application like google earth novel avoidance ... you could probably turn these into cruise missiles for less than the cost of a cruise missile. 3 f35's could give every member of parliament their own personal jet that could be set up for autopilot and weaponized if needed. less than 100k for this one.. http://www.jameslist...-for-sale-27284 You could trow in some flight lessons to then you can cut the pilot requirements during emergencies... do it yourself solution.. the execs could afford their own ride at that price. THERE ARE ALREADY A LOT OF POSTS HERE SO MY POINT SHOULD BE CLEAR YOU CAN GET A LOT MORE MILAGE WITH OPTIONS THAN YOU CAN WITH ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET. They could buy things that could be used for commercial purposes with that money and convert it into "crown shipping and travel" intakes if administered properly. Such as running tours and schools while overlapping VIP and security operations. I'm not saying scap the current plans completely but I am saying that the strategy should be mixed up. 3 challengers VIP should be more than enough if you sacrifice the other 3, then you can buy a lot of helicopters and other operational vehicles. Just like if you scrap 2/3rds of the f35's or atleast stagger buy ins you can get a lot of other jets so you have options. It not only costs less it allow more performance capacity for the same price or less. The key is to make sure you have ways to use the equipment so it ain't only VIP transport... it has to serve a purpose, and economic purpose. Just bear in mind the US has an airforce version of this too... http://en.wikipedia...._reserve_fleets http://en.wikipedia....ST-86-02543.JPG I'd also commission a life size rubber ducky top for a good sized ship, just for the awe factor. 7. no it doesn't. read the law. 319. (1) Every one who, by communicating statements in any public place, incites hatred against any identifiable group where such incitement is likely to lead to a breach of the peace is guilty of (a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or (b) an offence punishable on summary conviction. IT IS CALLED Public incitement of hatred It is not absolute there are some reasonable defences... That is why it is ok for me to suggest offensive idiots who won't keep their mouths shut get smacked up a bit to smarten them up. Because it is is a. true. b. in good faith on religious grounds c. relevant to the public interest and d. and it aims to remove hatred Now genocide arguments, might be able to meet those same criteria but I'd have to hear that argument and it'd have to be really good. People living in Gaza might be able to make a convincing case, meanwhile Israeli jews living across the border might be able to make an equally strong case.. but this is a case that will likely not be universal argument such as my idiots argument. Since normally you can't call for greivous bodily harm or death to accomplish a civil remedy, unless it is to prevent indictable offences. The issue is however sacrilege,,... IS AN OFFENCE... or was atleast need to check on the currency of that one. Punishment of libel known to be false 300. Every one who publishes a defamatory libel that he knows is false is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years. R.S., c. C-34, s. 264. Geuss what, it is indictable.. meaning it can be defended by death or greivous bodily harm if it is not submited to. Meaning the offender who does not submit to arrest can have force used against them, and if they attempt flight lethal force can be used to stop their flight. So yes, if someone posted lies about me online I could arrest them, and if they resisted I could beat them into submission and if they tried to flee I could kill them. With my actions fully defended at law. Now getting the police to get involved would be safer, but if the police failed to respond I would be justified to prevent the continuance or furtherance of the offence. So the offensive line is generally drawn at.. is it true or not, is it for "respectful discussion" or not. If it is niether true nor to further respectful discussion then it is illegal. Beleive it or not.The offense can be stopped by whatever reasonable force is required to subdue the offender and bring them to justice, even to the point of lethal force if circumstances require it. The internet is considered a point of publishing at law.
  8. The issue with book burning is publicizing it, or publically displaying an act of gross sacrilege. It isn't respectful. While I think there is a level of rationality. If canada doesn't outlaw the religion in which their standards are not the standards of society, society must instead accept the standards of that soceity in terms of religious practices and acts of offence against that religion. It is complex but one can question, why is nudity issued? Why is public intoxication with no other offences issued? Why is drunk driving an issue without an accident existing? Why is speeding illegal without an accident. Now why is burning the bible or Quran or a Torah scroll issued? Why is me calling bcsapper words I can't post on this forum issued? The fact is, it violates social acceptability, based upon social structure, and cultural identity - as what response the act is likely to create in soceity, thus damaging the social order. Now we can go all libertarian, and I am libertarian, so I support the freedoms, but I equally support a non idiotic public that knows that inciting hatred and contempt and anger isn't justified liberty. Now there are reasonable limits. I think for book burning it is.. are you privately burning books or publically burning books. Private burning is "ok" much like me being nude in my home. But as soon as it becomes a public display, individuals who have different beleifs that are deemed lawful and acceptable, and their rights to liberty and peaceable existentence become endangered, I must stop my liberty because others peaceable existence is brought into question by my acts. Now it would be great if society got down to business and said what is acceptable, but I think it is a reasonable limit to prevent offensive acts, so as long, as society agrees on what is offensive, and I think that perhaps the bar should be a little higher than the religious right, but the fact is religion is not outlawed so we are accepting those religions be they christians or hinduism. We have conceeded that we accept their standards for their own practice, and they have a right not to have their own practices infringed... but this of course comes to the middle ground when it contradicts our own religious practices. These are issues of multicultural society, much like non representative first past the post democracy, some people don't get their way. The law exists as a middle ground of social acceptability. Even if I don't agree with the law, my liberty is an act of war if it violates others standards that are exercised in law. It just isn't hate speech but other forms of self expression and liberty that are not per se offensive intent but offensively received. It isn't what you mean, it is what they get from it. That is unfortunate but I'm clothed right now... if it wasn't the case it wouldn't matter. Walking around on a 30 degree day naked wouldn't be issued for me. It might be issued for the people I were to encounter on the way. I'd probaly encounter cops trying to arrest me faster than if I were walking down the street burning holy books. I'd be willing to bet money on the fact I could probably get away with burning every holy book for every major world religion without a single cop showing up if I wasn't causing a display.
  9. I don't think its silly, jerks and a-holes deserve to get beaten up. Of course people standards and classification may differ on this. That is what are the reasonable limits. My standards are likely different than yours. Quite frankly I see how it connects and I'm tired of the social nuissance of tasteless people. So my standards in some respects may be much lower than yours on what constitutes speech which creates a public nuissance and degrades social cohesion and effectiveness in peace and orderly undertakings. So yes I'm advocating idiots get beaten up. I feel it is justified incitement however because it is for the public good. A reasonable person should understand, I don't expect an idiot to.
  10. Funny that Ben Gurion was a terrorist by modern standards. http://www.wsws.org/.../isr2-j23.shtml Although Likud does commit acts of terrorism by the definition of terrorism. It is state sponsered terrorism though so it is no different than wha some NATO members do. All 8 of them right. I don't see the line. You may call it war, then what rules apply right, what humanity is necesary. just unleash the beast but don't say there are two sides unless it is one with the living and the other for the dead.
  11. It doesn't have to be willful It just needs to be communicated... Don't read into that too much.
  12. Public incitement of hatred 319. [*] Marginal note:Wilful promotion of hatred (2) Every one who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, wilfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of (a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or (b) an offence punishable on summary conviction. If pursuit of the charge is under indictment, then use of force to apprehend is justified. If flight occurs use of lethal force is justified. Watch your mouth and recommend to others to do the same. http://www.cbc.ca/ne...ate-crimes.html harm /hɑrm/ Show Spelled [hahrm] Show IPA noun 1. physical injury or mental damage; hurt: to do him bodily harm. 2. moral injury; evil; wrong.
  13. Watch what you say. Idiots who just run their mouth off deserve a good slap. Ignorance is not a defence. If the offense is habitual it is intent to harass, and is criminal conduct. There are grey areas on what is considered offensive, but you used the term offensive speech, so the context of the offense is not in question. It is not acceptable. It is likely criminal or a breech of law (tort, libel, defamation, or harassment) Offensive speech is not legally acceptable. Freedom of speech is there for "expression" not offence. Now someone who says something that is unintentionally offensive, or culturally ambiguous creates problem areas, but calling someone a dog and inviting their entire culture to be exterminated are two clearly different things. People need to understand hate speech is not acceptable and it is illegal.
  14. You called it offensive speech, how much more clear can it get. Defence for Bear in mind the goal is not to cause death, disfigurement, or disability just to stop the provocation. Ideally one should remove themselves from the threat however, in some instances it may be harassment as well, or in a situation where ones own personal liberties, or security of person are effected is discrimination is present for instance in a work place, or public place, where should a persons rights to access to space be violated then it would be harassment or an endagerment of their liberties. So preventing the offensive behaviour would be warranted, should the police not arrest the offender(s) for harassment, since failure for police to respond, entitles the individual to act in their own defence. Of course in this instance the caller committed an indictable offence and the Radio show host, may have abbetted it partially. So use of force to apprehend would be allowable. I endorse beating the crap out of people who harass others intentionally should the police not get rid of them for the victim.
  15. It is still developing. none the less no, there is no difference. If you know how to press play
  16. its verbal assault, it incites violence. being critical or offering dialogue is one thing, insulting people and being offensive is another. I'd support killing offensive people before making intentionally offensive speech legal.
  17. nay nay fact is it is already possibke but missiles make the us more money. Or should I say it makes rich americans more money you are grossly mistaken it does mean the next generation. The us doesm't want other people to have new jets that make their technology obsolete. Its a national security risk. Its not because it ain't possible it is what it makes possible that is the problem.
  18. yes. I wouldn't publicize though, it'd be above top secret. If anything were uncovered it'd be denied. If the rules are stacked against you, make your own. This is survival not rich and poor. F**K IP Of course it wouldn't all be pirated, butI have no qualms whatsoever pirating.
  19. I disagree. We just need better charities and better donors.
  20. I would agree with this is people were faithful but for me to say things like "I'm going to blow your head off. I can't wait till you go to sleep BCSAPPER. I'm hunting you" Etc.. these are reasons for concern. Calling for the genocide of a group of people ain't really that different. Sicne threats can preempt physical attacks, and threats are deemed reasonable for a physical defence. Supporting threats such as genocide isn't good because it entitles the party subject to the threat to kill the person making the threat. We have the right to security, and this entails being free from persecution and endangerment. The world ain't perfect government still exists as a persecutor and endangerment to the public, but is anarchy a better answer. I would agree with you personally but I doubt most of society supports that. The murder rate would skyrocket.
  21. All foreign aid should come from private donations. This is not specific to Palastine though. Countries running debts shouldn't be giving direct funding to other countries. They shuold be paying their own bills first. Leave it to the rich companies earning profits to donate and provide jobs. Now if the UN established a better system to distributing aid to countries with human rights needs then sure aid should be given but only for human rights reasons but it should be given equally by all who have the ability, likewise direct food and other froms of aid should be given instead if there are surpluses..
  22. I would. I'm sure your words wouldn't be so nice when you figured out what I was laughing at.
  23. see the end In what year? And what happens if something newer comes along.. And that is idiocy in todays technological environment Fact is its not manufactured in Canada, Canada doesn't control it. Canada needs to be able to control its capacities not have its defence policy dictated by the USA. It needs full servicability of its own equipment. The f35 doesn't provide for that so it looses its sovereignty.
  24. Its not, its too much money for too little control. I support a partial gradual buy but not a bulk throw the entire 40 year airforce aquistion budget into it deal. It is a massive waste of tax payer funds for a mediocre jet 10 years from now. If Canada owned modification and production rights it might be a different situation but as is, it is just a sink hole and a white elephant. Even Lawson is saying McKay is wrong (already...) http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/11/30/pol-lawson-committee-f35-stealth-options.html?cmp=rss
