Lol Wes some of us Jewish guys talk too much you notice? I have to admit your take on Ezra is fair. He prattles more than he has to. He never used to be that bad. It may be he feels he has to fill the air waves. My favourite conservative Jewish commentator is Ben Shapiro. I think Ezra wants to be like him. Listen not all of us are dentists but dentists talk too all the time you notice? Never mind.

Anthony I was not clear on your premises, specifically: "" My proposal was walking through the idea that a contraceptive was used or that an unjustified deliberate action taken by the man or the woman was used to sabotage the contraceptive. " If a man could show a woman deliberately sabotaged a contraceptive to get pregnant she commits a deliberate or pre-meditated act. However I would advise you its usually the other way around, i.e., https://sex-crimes.laws.com/sex-crimes-news/contraceptive-sabotage-happening-to-many-women-36302.html https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2896047/ https://www.stdaware.com/blog/cutting-holes-in-condom-sabotage-legalities/ I also know this myself from anecdotal evidence having worked with abusive men in the family court system. Do women trick men and get pregnant. Of course it may happen. How often does it happen I do not know. I can tell you if a man pokes a hole in a contraceptive and makes a woman pregnant without her consent it could constitute a sexual assault in Canada: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/man-who-sabotaged-condoms-guilty-of-sexual-assault-top-court-rules/article17367231/ Here is the specific wording from the above article that talks about whether it would be a crime for a woman to sabotage a condom: "Peter Sankoff, a specialist in criminal law at the University of Alberta, said that psychological harm could in rare cases be a foundation for a future sexual assault claim by a man, say, whose condoms were sabotaged by a woman so she could have a baby. In a series of tweets, he said he knows many men who experienced an unwanted child, and as a result "spiralled downward" psychologically. Others, including Michael Plaxton of the University of Saskatchewan law school, Sonia Lawrence of York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, and Luke Craggs, the lawyer for Mr. Hutchinson, disagreed, saying the court would limit charges to cases where there was bodily harm. "My preliminary view is that the decision seems to have been carefully written such that women who lie about birth control don't have the same jeopardy," Mr. Craggs said in an interview. Mr. Hutchinson was found guilty at his trial and sentenced to 18 months in jail, but had been free on bail awaiting the Supreme Court ruling. A man with unwanted paternity would have to show the same level of harm as a woman experiences from an unwanted pregnancy, said Elizabeth Sheehy, who teaches law at the University of Ottawa. "It would be a tough case to make. I don't think it's impossible. I think it's pretty remote. Would it be different if a man had repeatedly communicated his vulnerability in that regard and had his wishes deliberately thwarted? I don't know – you'd be making new law here." In previous rulings, the Supreme Court has upheld aggravated sexual assault findings where individuals did not disclose that they have the Hiv virus – because it carries a "significant risk of serious bodily harm." But the rulings on Hiv disclosure, the court's majority said on Friday, "did not foreclose the possibility that other types of harm may amount to equally serious deprivations." It could have said "bodily harm." It just said "harm." " That's the best answer I can give you right now. So in the specific case you have presented their MIGHT be a criminal charge layed. MIGHT being the operative word. If you wanted to sue a woman in civil court for a tort, i.e., bodily injury caused by such an action, it would say have to be exposure to a disease, perhaps emotional stress and suffering but I think the law is completely vague and unpredictable whether a woman who deliberately sabotages a contraceptive to get pregnant can get financial support from the man she deceived. Its just not clear. We just don't have any cases to go by. All I can tell you is courts always put the best interests of the child first. If they thought a woman went full term as part of a financial coercion scam, they might just have the grounds to take the child away from her and adopt the child out if they thought the mother was not a good candidate to keep the child and the biological (deceived) father did not want the child. I have a feeling in such a case they could take the baby away from the mother. Imagine a mother who only wanted a child for money. That does not sound like its in the best interests of the child but I have a feeling in such a case they might not be able to force the child on the biological father as he too would be a reluctant parent and therefore poor candidate.

If people took the time to look into this issue you discuss they should on principle understand that what the current government did was to LIE about what they intended to do once elected and did the exact opposite and have made things worse not better than the regime prior to their own. They also compounded this by finding 10 million to pay a terrorist but in the next breath say there was no money for vets. The sad thing is I am not sure most people at this time are giving thought to this issue, the 5 ethics violations, the Lavalin issue, the Kadr payout, the breakdown in Immigration Law, deficit financing, the failure to implement an energy pipeline and energy corridor, the allowing of the Air Force and all armed forces to go without badly needed upgrades, and a big stinking conflict of interest with Bill Morneau using his insider info to trade his family company's stocks. No one is discussing these issues and the press is soft. They allow Trudeau to avoid questions and only engage in one way canned script sound bites which come down to promising things like candy to a child or heroin to an addict. Not one policy Trudeau has proposed has any substance to it. Its all short term quick fix immediate bribes with no other thought. The environmental position is just an out and out lie. Trudeau failed to meet any emission limits and comes up with absolutely phony new limits he has no intention of honouring any more than he did the previous ones. The carbon tax is just a tax and people are idiotic enough to think if you increase their taxes but do not earmark that increase towards environmental programs, magically people will stop driving cars? Its a tax. A friggin tax to try keep up with the huge deficit and run away interest rates and calling it a carbon tax but not using one penny on environmental programs is the height of dishonesty and yet people buy it. Trudeau ran from a debate on foreign policy. Of course. How could he defend the implications of defending Lavalin's illegal activities across the world. How could he defend engaging in interfering with Lavalin on the one hand, then in the next breath tell China over Hua Wei he can't interfere in the legal process. How could he defend his Foreign Minister bringing in a young woman from Saudi Arabia on the grounds of stating publically "she reminds me of my daughter"? The grounds for allowing her refugee status means, any Muslim woman, and for that matter, any woman who does not approve of the religion of their family overseas in their country of origin, can now apply as a refugee on the grounds of persecution. This means hundreds of millions of Muslim women in Muslim countries are entitled to refugee status as one example. Trudeau has run from two debates. He is a coward. His answer to being caught acting like a privileged jack ass is to say its because he's privileged, and then in the very next sentence using his privilege to lecture others not to be privileged without himself acknowledging his privilege is not an excuse for what he did. This country is on the verge of re-electing him on a minority basis. The NDP and Greens would love that. The only thing we now must ask, will NDP and Green votes take away Liberal votes to allow Conservatives to slip in. There was a worry Bernier would divide Conservative votes but his strength is in Quebec and the Bloc Quebecois seems to be back threatening to take back certain Liberal seats, NDP seats and Conservative seats, so much so all national leaders are gutless and will not discuss the out and out bigoted Bill 21 in Quebec.

Earth to Dougie calling. If Canada does not demonstrate sovereignty over its air spaces or on its waters REGULARLY under international law, it can be deemed to have ceded its territorial sovereignty. With Russia, the US and many other nations trying to gain access to our Arctic waters the imperative to demonstrate our sovereignty is crucial. It was bad enough we allowed Japan, China, Russia, Span and Portugal to permanently destroy the Grand Banks. Drug and people smuggling is at an all time high. Thanks but relying on Uncle Sam to protect our sovereign rights is stupid.

Lack of integration into NORAD. Right. It means they do not have a lobby network in Canada that can get to the MP's and influence them. Give it a rest with the bull. NO ONE believes for a second either craft you mentioned could not be used with NORAD. What a crock. The only reason they could not be intergrated is because the Americans who want the F35 sold dominate NORAD, period, end of story. There is no such thing as a non integradeable aircraft. Please Derek explain how either fighter could not have been modified for NORAD duties. These jets were rejected because of less spin off benefits in Canadian election ridings than the F35 which has the greatest spin off effect for jobs and THAT is the only reason the F35 will be picked. The other reason these two craft were rejected was their price was far too high.

I am not a blogger or a Liberal Thank you. I am a realist and not a groupie of anything American must be good. Canada has never needed a stealth fighter and to say it needs one is a collosal crock of sheeyat. The last think we need is a stealth fighter. We want a jet that DOES show up on the radar. We want an interceptor not a stealth fighter. We want our jets intercepting air craft invading our air space as quickly as possible in response time. That requires no stealth what so ever. As well the F35 was designed to be a fighter high altitude like an F15 or 16, but also do away with the need of the Warthog, i.e., a low to ground fighter that takes out tanks. It is also designed supposedly for low flight missions. For phack's sake most of Canada is timber that needs to be patrolled and one does not need low altitude fighter jets when the rest of it is cities. We have no open deserts where the F35 is envisioned to come in low, evade radar and take out tanks and personnel out in the open in deserts with no cover. The equivalent to desert we have is ice cover and in that respect there would be no large ground forces on ice a Griphen could not handle and more to the point a Griphen can land on very short run way on ice, an F35 can not. A Griphen up North isolated and in need of repair requires 5 people an F35 at least 30. The maintenance time on an F35 is far more time consuming and expensive. The Griphen can use all old weapons from our F18 fleet the F35 can not. We could buy far more fighters if we chose the Swedish one and have money left over for badly needed naval vessels. The F35 expense will prevent any spending on the Navy or Army choking up all funds. The F35 Canada gets is NOT the F35 the US, Britain or Israel will use. Other than the metal shell it will not be the same. Israel's upgrades are secret. The RAF, USAF and IAF do their own particular alterations of upgrades to the F35 that make it an entirely different fighter than the one we get in Canada. F35 as a name means sweet phack all. Its the upgrades not the shell of the craft which the F35 refers to which makes it a craft. Not all Jeeps are the same for phack's sake. The groupies on this page hear the name F35 and like sheep salivate on cue to the brand name giving no thought to what is under the engine hood. Oh well then its a BMW it must be good. Thanks I pass. I think the Subaru not BMW, Audi or Mercedes is the best motor vehicle. The only reason we are buying the jet is because its manufacturer has a lobby group that controls our government with promises of more spin off benefits which in the short run get politicians in such ridings where the spin offs occur elected but costs more money in the long run which could have been used for the Navy. In fact its only bloggers and virtue arm chair pilot experts who play with computer games who support the F35. No pilot in their right mind wants to fly a plane that prevents the pilot from having a full view up and to the side and to the back of the plane and relies on the pilot to fly blind and use a helmet for sight. That reliance on the helmet for vision is oooh so swell for virtue arm chair gamers but a real pilot will always rely on his eyes and intuition not a virtual reality projection in the heat of the moment. My comments come from listening to pilots who can not express their true opinions because their superiors are controlled by a military industrial network full of corruption and kick backs. There is zero reason a Griphen could not be used in Canada. Zero.

The fact that Democrats and Republicans find what Trump did with the Ukrainian President unacceptable may have political motivations but that does not mean what Trump did has no legal ramifications. Trump partisans such as yourself believe because Trump is a political figure and you agreee with his political opinions that you can be blind when he breaks the law. When a political figure acts unethically and illegally both political and legal issues are triggered and the legal ones do not vanish because you like Trump.

Black Lives Matter which has dominated Gay Pride events is as extreme as any Christian group challenging homosexual marriage. I know in particular of 3 gay anti Israel groups who used Gay Pride to make comments about ANY Jew who believed that Jew had the right to sufferage and express their identity in a collective national entity and they openly chanted hate messages at the Gay pride events making it exclusive not inclusive no different than Black Lives Matters. Gay pride has been hijacked by many political groups and its unfortunate because gay pride should be inclusive. It started out to commemorate a raid at a Turkish bath that unfairly arrested gay people but its morphed into something far bigger and is now exploitedby mainstream politicians of all parties as well as major corporate sponsors. That is an important context to remember because this Christian group was not the first nor will it be the last to politically demonstrate at gay events but it does not excuse what happened but shows its not unusual. That said no one engaging in violence should be condoned for any reason. However Christians who do not believe in gay marriage have the right to express themselves peacefully no different than gays do. Most gays excuse me for saying but I will, can easily handle Christian groups telling them they should not engage in gay sex or marry. That is not the issue. They can handle it. Most gays did not want or ask for some of their members to become violent. They never condone violence jjust as Christians in that anti gay group would not condone physical violence. Both sides have hot heads. I think the Christian anti gay groups should use some common sense and wait for another time to demonstrate their beliefs. I think choosing to go to a festivity they know is an expression of gays being proud of who they are in response to past persecution is a necessary ritual for them and reinforces a positive and hopeful message of tolerance and so is the absolute wrong time and place to lecture about being sinful for being gay. Its not the time. If an extreme Christian group showed up at a holocaust memorial and began lecturing me about killing Jesus, I know I would be damn angry and not be anywhere near as calm as the gay collective was with this group. This group had to know they would be inciting a negative reaction and they wanted just that for publicity. I defend the right of Christians to believe homosexuality is sinful just as I defend the right of gays to be gay freely. There is a time and place though for discussions as to sexual morality and choosing an event designed to heal past wounds as gay pride is, is not the place. Can people please understand gay pride is not just joy its sorrow for what happened to them in the past and finding the courage to overcome it with a celebration of innocent honest expression of identity. Its a way to turn tears into laughter and hate into love. That is all it was ever intended to do. I can't understand what it is to be gay but I know gays celebrate their collective identity no different than we Jews do our collective identity. It is the same. We use music and humour the same way. We overcome the past turmoil with positive frame of references. I have to support it. They were good enough to die in the holocaust for being gay, they are good enough for me. I feel the same way about righteous Christians who died for Jews. I personally do not believe the purpose of Christianity was to show up and fight with people. Then again I hang around with peaceful Christians, many who embrace my humility and do not hate gays and I identify with their humility before a greater power than any of us. I believe the construct that being gay is sinful is one created by humans not "God". It is a belief that begins with and ends with humans. No one can speak for "God" but this supposed "God" itself which I do not believe would speak directly to anyone let alone be understood by anyone in the confines of our brains and bodies. -
I am sorry but I mediated family disputes for over 20 years. You mind telling me how a pregnancy is accidental? You either use a contraceptive or you do not as a male. Unless a woman deliberately pokes a hole in the contraceptive while the man is not looking there is no accident. Give me a break. Your entire premises tries to make up an excuse for discharging your sperm in a vagina without a contraceptive. It then comes up with an absurd payment, to avoid responsibility for the consequence of that action, i.e., "the man can optionally pay the abortion equivalency financial amount or give a certain amount of time so that he is released of all liabilities to the baby after birth as a father/caretaker? " Your payment scheme is absurd. Tell it to the child as they grow up that their biological father paid the equivalent of an abortion fee, so does not have to help them with expenses. How much is the abortion fee? You do realize it ranges from $0 to $1,200? I know that for a fact. Is that it? Is that what you think you should pay for consequence free ejaculation? You realize if you have sex and spread a sexually transmitted disease to a woman she can sue for more then that? Use a contraceptive.

If Trump called a foreign government leader and told him to investigate Biden he has broken the law and is impeachable. Its called treason. However it seems we have spent 3 years listening to everything Trump does and watching him remain clean as a whistle. Why think it will change. Biden is as demented as Trump. The Republicans really need to get off their ass and find a replacement. For that matter the Democrats can't be serious trotting out Bernie and Joe. Ms. K. Harris is an Obama clone, and the other leading female candidate Ms. Warren is Hilary Clinton without the baggage. Me thinks the Dems will settle on Harris or Warren and are test driving both. I think the Dems think a woman is the best bet to take down Trump and will try turn this into a gender war of sorts. The US is headed for a recession. All the signs are there of a stock implosion. Both China and the US are over extended and bankrupt for different reasons.

Oy I am having a bad hair day ( I am bald). I missed the point yep. Thanks. That was 2 in a row. Missed Eye's as well.

Sorry Eye. I misunderstood...."Just not right-wing enough I guess. " Duh uh uh I got it. Mea culpa. Obviously I agree with you and hell I am not even leftist I am extreme centre but fair is fair.

In the grand scheme of things she's a very shallow t.v. personality but she was rail roaded out of jobs unfairly. In her case its who she has pissed off behind the scenes who put her on screen in the first place. She went rogue from her designated role as Barbie and tried to get real and that was not part of her deal with the Devil to get on t.v. so to speak.

Its his double standards Eye and the fact you call such an elitist a left winger means what? What makes Trudeau any different than a Canadian Tory? Their policies are identical except how to handle the deficit. Only Bernier is different in the sense of truly detesting government and trying to sound Libertarian Ron Paul like. Trudeau is no more leftist than anyone else. He is no man of the people. His policies are all designed to protect his elitist connected buddies. Please do not refer to this man who is a flunky for Lavalin as a leftist. He's a toady and he engages in everything any supposed right winger does. Its his double standards, its his pointing the finger and preaching sanctimoniously to others about the very things he himself then does.
-
Look at all of that and how its been ignored. Imagine if a Conservative had done one or two of the things Trudeau has done. It is such a blatant double standard. Trudeau even with his unethical behaviour and dressing up claims the high moral road. Why do we not hear in this debate any talk of Morneau insider trading, Lavalin, Kadr, his trip with the Aga Kahn, the deficits. No one is talking about issues that go directly to his lack of credibility and double standards., Why? The NDP leader is running around making ridiculous promises of buying everything for everyone. Trudeau is being treated by the press very lightly. They are allowing him to avoid questions and control his agenda when speaking to them. Betsy I wish Sheer was more dynamic and a better public speaker. As for Bernier, as much as I do not like him, he is a better speaker than Sheer. He does better at short sound bites and in this day and age I am afraid everyone is shallow and not listening more than 10 seconds to anything anyways. As for the throwing out the $15,000 exemption, if people are that easily bought out well? His handlers are Kathleen Wynne's people and you can remember how they dealt with their scandals. Unfortunately I think Justin will get a pass yet again Betsy.

Truthfully it caught me by surprise. They could have gone the other way. Don't get me wrong it is important for democracy but I could have seen the courts refusing to get involved and saying to the politicians to simply call a vote to condemn what he did and throw him out that way. Courts are very reluctant to wade into political manouvers on the floor. This is a new one. and it has very strong implications for future moves by any politician trying to do the same in countries similar to Britain like Canada, Australia, New Zealand.
-
I admit it caught me by surprise. I thought me might get away with it. Its an important decision. It will prevent other politicians not just in the UK but in say Canada, Australia, doing it as well if they were tempted.

Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee, true patriot love in all thy bribery. God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen, God save our Justin. Rue replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Trudeau needs to be accountable for his repeated ethical failures, failed immigration and foreign policies, out of control spending and defcits he claimed he would not create, abandonment of war vets, sweet heart deal with Kadr, failed aboriginal policies, inability to resolve a pipeline issue, fondling of a female journalist and this latest bafoonery he claims he hid so he could become leader. His being confused as to his identity, need to play drag drama queen, and being asked to be forgiven for every behaviour he does but expects you to condemn in others makes it more imperative to call him of his bubble, closet, etc. His posing himself as a victim of privilege to retract himself from what he does will not. He is going to continue to sabotage himself. If you want to continue enabling this brat vote for him. Yesterday his government forced the military to a ceremony in Ukraine to commemorate a Ww2 Nazi collaborator group that murdered tens of thousands of innocent Poles and Jews and fought against Canada. The ceremony was held in the very city this group mass murdered Jews. This is the same Trudeau who commemorated a Holocaust memorial that made no mention of Jews and then Trudeau did the same in his speech. His act is see transparent. Ethnic sensitivity my kosher ass he is. -

Here is what no one touches about Justin in these days of political correctness. He's gay. Oops I said it. He's gay Its there. Its known in Montreal and Toronto in specific circles about Trudeau and Morneau and its a subject the press looks past just as they did knowing Pierre Trudeau was gay. Trudeau shows a conflicted double identity and has repeatedly acted out his dual identity. His subconscious is sabotaging him. Trudeau is undergoing a phenomena where his repressed identity struggles to get out. The need to show he is the exact opposite of what he looks like is being played out in public. He has chosen to live a double life to get political votes no different than his father did. The fact is someone healthy as a gay, bisexual or heterosexual has no confusion of identity. People closeted do. The Liberals found themselves a spoiled, sheltered affected son of Trudeau who loves to dress up and play swashbuckler. They plucked this guy out of the backseats and anointed him and created a recycled Trudeau brand... only the son is not Pierre. He is not his father. He has no intellectual forte in any discipline to offset his stunning immaturity and narcissism. I personally wish a politician could be gay openly and run and not feel the need to be closeted. I can appreciate why some would feel they can not but this is what happens. One's true identity comes out just like water comes back to where you dredge it from sooner than later. Trudeau is having a meltdown over his double identity. I do not think the country should have to deal with it.
