I agree that proper legal processes must be followed. The very purpose of an impeachment process in the House of Representatives is to provide the equivalency of a Grand Jury process in the US or a preliminary hearing in Canada before a trial. The Senate can not be asked to try Trump unless there is sufficient evidence to go to trial which is what the impeachment process is supposed to ascertain. It would at this point be hard to believe any trial if it got to the Senate would find Trump guilty of anything if it requires a 2/3rd vote since the Senate is majority Republican and Republicans other than Mitt Romney at this point won't speak out and say a damn thing.

When sitting for that specific purpose two-thirds of the Senate Members present must vote in favour of his guilt. While the House of Representatives acts as the first stage or impeachment process to decide if there is enough evidence to try him for guilt for specific offences (impeachment) its the Senate who votes on whether Trump is guilty. Xul you are a strong supporter of the current Chinese government regime in Peking so I doubt any opposition would be seen by you as justified for any reason. What you think is criminal Canadians brought up in democracy probably call protesting. Having a police officer shoot a protester in his stomach with a hand gun we find unprofessional. Our police are not perfect in riots and have made serious mistakes but they don't pull out hand-guns and shoot people in the stomach as a general rule. Our police use tasers, water cannons, pepper spray, foam, noise cannons, batons and have been taught to walk in a steady unison with shields up and tapping on the shield. I think there are better ways to deal with protesters and your police make things worse as they break line and lose control of their emotions from what I can see. Riot police need to stay almost robotic like because when their ranks are broken and they split into isolated one on one fights with street protesters nothing good can come of it. The crowd control techniques suck from what I see on t.v. I think your government does not understand that people in Hong Kong were brought up with a democratic system and your government's attempt to crush them from expressing opinions as if they are Tibetans probably is not going to work. How prevalent a problem men being tricked by women into impregnating them is probably hard to define as one would think many of such situations would not be reported by men but I am not sure whether this warrants any legal reform. I agree with those of you who say Joe Biden is no better than Trump although measuring the progression of dementia in both of them is difficult at this point and I am dead serious. In terms of economic platforms I am also having a hard time differentiating the two as well a this point. I think someone feels in the Conservative Party they need to go after Liberal votes and hope anti Liberals will vote for them anyways. The Conservatives clearly do not think Max Bernier is gonna take their votes away thus that tactic. I am a moderate middle ground person so I have to admit what you say. Cons and Libs are both trying to take moderate con and moderate Lib votes. Maybe that works for Trudeau in Toronto or in non rural Ontario, maybe it works for Sheer in Liberal ridings out West (if there are any) but I am not sure if the Con tactic will work in Atlantic Canada or Quebec. I have to see Quebec going back to Block Quebecois or going with Trudeau since they feel Sheer by being pro Western provinces has to be anti Quebec. Quebec has always felt in competition with the Western provinces.
