It's a bad idea to dry clean a suit too often, as too frequent dry cleaning can damage the fabric. This is especially true with wool. If you wear the same suit very frequently, just have it pressed. Or consider buying more than one suit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just, for the record, are we talking about politicians here or everyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean politicians have a different way to dress more beautiful from everyone else Perhaps they have more disposable income than an average guy

yes, Sweden does not have a birth rate issue, and capitalism finds a way to feed population growth
-
Our birth rate is low and we have depopulation. (you have 35% of women not having kids and you don't see a problem) Canada needs 2.1 children per woman to replace the current population. 2 children means that their parents are replaced and .1 means we can compensate for the potential early death a parent before the children reach reproduction. This is the way to ensure a stable and zero growth. Canada has a birth rate of 1.2 or something like that and by 2031 we will be losing population as the 22% of baby boomers begin to die. We also lose 60,000 people through emigration. To stabilized the current population we currently need about 250,000 extra people. There is a baby bust looming right here!

Goverments need to have some population growth policy. Did you know that there are 29% of families with no kids plus another 6% of women who claim they will not have any children. That's 35% the breeding population you wish to rule out. Sweden has generous day care which correlates with its big population growth plus 18 months of parental leave - every female want to have kids If nothing the government should start by choosing government employees by merit, like being married with children should be considered an advantage. What is your reasons for no government subsidy really? I mean are you afraid that letting the government get very involved in family planning is dangerous. Were you thinking in the lines of you really didn't want to encourage welfare mothers to have more children? I guess when everything fails encourage more sex - however you modify the women shampoo, lipstick, purses, tampax tampon

Noticeably, more men are in suits. Guys have really “ratcheted it up a notch or two” It is obvious that business suits have made a come back, there are more men at the coffee shops with suits; I just came from the car rental, mmm more suits. So, today I decided to survey my office – I guess I have never noticed, all the guys were actually in suits. So, I went checking to see how sales were for men’s shirt and suits, it is up 17% from last year. Musk and cologne are also up I mean, I am appreciative, men are looking good in their beautiful clothes – their suits and shirt look very tailored, and trendy. Plus they are wearing alternatives: pink, blue and purple shirts. I guess these are the 30s and 40s group so what’s going on? Are they also into fitness I wonder? bit of vanity? They are not trying to out shine the young ones are they? You think the fad of the dotcom is gone where the folks showed up to work in their pajamas and the dog. Did you also noticed not many companies are promoting dress-down Friday – means men are also now shaving on Fridays

PARIS, Nov. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Rioters on early Monday fired shots at police and set hundreds of cars ablaze on an 11th night of violence in France From an outburst of anger in suburban Paris over housing projects, the violence has fanned out into a nationwide show of fury over high unemployment, poor housing and racial discrimination in the country. More than 1000 people have been arrested and over 3,500 vehicles torched so far, according to police. No one has been reported killed till now in the unrest.

I am afraid I don't understand what point you are trying to make. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The number of incidences with regards to assault on women with football players increases during the football season. The so called myth about group assault on women is also reality - we will never know the true statistics unless women are brave enough to report these cases. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is a sick disgrace. If he was screwing around and knew he was HIV-positive then he should be jailed for a long time. I have read about this in the papers and am dumbfounded. If you are that inconsiderate, wait, that cruel and self-centred then we have a right as a society to ostracize you from the community. On the other hand, if he didn't know then I would cut him some slack but still punish him for any abuse/assault that may have occurred...shame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not only a disgrace, he is free on $10,000 bail and ordered to practice safe sex. He was also ordered not be alone with any female under the age of 14 - why is this so

A poor person marrying a well-off person has greater than one reasons to sign off on a pre-nuptial especially if they can bargain favorably otherwise it is worthless for a poor person to sign. In this case a pre nuptial would mostly benefit the rich person who is selfish and won't share - which is why I don't approve in mixing cultures, diversity with marriage - Like you have your wealth and also keep it. If I were destitute and my spouse is penniless - no pre-nuptial necessary
-
Western governments and Western-funded multilateral organizations are currently spending over $1 billion a year on population programs in Third World countries - How about facilitating population programs with that money in the Western world - I mean you encourage population growth elsewhere and then import them into Canada - Does this make sense? Anyway how much money does Canada give to these programs?

No technology killed romance. I mean men do not want to go around and open car doors anymore for women. So they have gone on and invented power doors, automatic doors, and power locks to stay inside for whatever reason. I mean there is no need to wait on anyone we have email, voice mail, cell, pagers. You don't have to anticipate anymore - answers at a ding. Who would have thought romance was about consulting a list of potential Mr. Rights now spitting out of databases via on line dating services. And then the folks try to hit straight to the core. Like no romance. Like what's your A/S/L please? Really? What they really want to know is whether it is the right ass, size and libido Romance is reduced to ILU, FYI romance dies in 3 letters, and your devotion to romance is reduced to shorthand.

I think they were going to post the transcripts at Perverted Justice http://www.perverted-justice.com/ How would a girl put up a sign that said "I want sex"? Then what signals would boys give out that they wanted to have sex Most of the men that show up at the house wanted to have sex with boys, the interviewer mentioned conversations of girls but the majority is predators for boys - the Yahoo chat rooms was mentioned The perverts on the net asked the so called young person whether they were virgins and also knew how old the children were when they crossed the boundries. I think most of these politicians are so old that they are myopic in their vision of setting standards, and lagging behind a perspective in the damage that technology can cause - their frame of reference is their 40 year old kids that did not deal with technology

Dateline hidden camera investigation turns spotlight on Internet predators Should we have stricter guidelines governing the use of internet chat rooms? Children are spending lots of hours online chatting with friends and also strangers. From the Dateline investigation, with help from an online vigilante group called "Perverted Justice". The group monitors and posed as children. With this investigation the chat was over an period of time much sexually explicit conversations with adults who wanted to meet for sex with a minor, adults were invited over to a house. "In two-and-a-half days, 18 men show up at our house after making a date on the Internet to commit statutory rape." Including: Rabbi New York City firefighter Teachers Doctor Military officers one in five children online is approached by a sexual predator, a predator who may try to set up a face-to-face meeting
-
I think if you increase the current 55% of so call benefits from the EI funds to become 90% Subsidise daycare Increase tax incentives for families with children Bring back the baby bonus program Currently there is no incentive to have kids - it is difficult financially with 2 parent working Plus since folks are not having kids there is more breakdown of marriages and more divorces, like no commitments to marriage But, I have noticed that new immigrants show up and take advantage of the incentives available for proverty stricken families and can have a million of kids and we keep pouring monies into supporting the poor folks
-
I don't have the Canadian stats but is some from the US Men boldly go where women do not, Men feel cheated, women have no regrets. more men would ask for a prenutial agreement but they will marry a lady even if she did not sign. 32% of the women say they won't sign Now after a divorce men usually learn quickly about a prenuptial agreement and 25% have regrets while 76% of women have no regrets, the women usually get most of the assets
-
Are prenuptial aggreements the death of love and romance? I mean is it a way out for some folks to capitalise on securing payments and a relish in way of life I mean it is reported that Katie Holmes will not sign agreements unless Cruise can financially secure her future and the baby's future, the agreement comes with additional clause in her favor I suppose

The only countries you can point to who have achieved success under globalization is China and India and that is because of their population and weight of export - the disparities of the poor within those countries are even greater though Three countries Brazil, China, and Mexico accounts for 50% of foreign investment flows out of their countries within this globalisation context. Countries in Africa are a failure, Russia a failure with aids, mortality and old diseases and the worst effect of globalization is seen within the poor of the poor countries There are winners and losers in globalization and for the winners you have enough fingers to count them. One of the backlash of globalization is fanatical rise of Islam and international terror

IMF are pawns of US diplomatic and economic interests. The IMF has put poor countries into precautious positions leaving them indebted thru their good bleeding hearts bail-outs http://www.nadir.org/nadir/initiativ/agp/free/imf/unrest.htm http://www.nadir.org/nadir/initiativ/agp/f...imf/protest.htm I mean what is the IMF doing in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq – helping them to purchase weapons I suppose or creating environments necessary for war?
-
Globalization will only help keep a few folks pocket filled in the third world. Do you like exploitation? Then it might be necessary and good for big capitalistic economies to continue looting these poor countries as they did in the past. It strange that you quoted the IMF report and highlighted the parts that we should read. Note that IMF is part of the third world problems to provide short-term loans and set strict terms that the economies must follow e.g. 1) must lower imports 2) increase exports 3) value or devalue their currency 4) exercise control on money spend on health and education (critical social structures for countries) Result 1) dependent on agriculture trying to export 2) short-term - high interest rates/loans 3) restrictions how to spend money borrowed 4) vulnerable to prices and market fluctuations Result 1) rising debts 2) competition with cheap way to produce goods via machines in rich countries 3) competition with countries rich enough to subsidize products As industrialized nations, we want to globalize and promote "American way of life". You are with us? I want to let you know in simple words that those who suppress and exploit others have lots of power and in greater than one ways is a pain to confront. What I mean, currently notice how capital is allowed to free flow around the globe while poor people are severely restricted to travel. The follow up question is: Or are you a terrorist? Globalisation is a fancy word in my opinion that we use to say we are all free societies. An ideal, really, because it only belongs to those who can make profit. Greed, capitalism and globalization will only continue to demise poor countries, rich countries will acquire more wealth and make the poor countries more impoverish. The discrepancies between the rich and poor in third world are corrupted and unfathomable between first and third world. Look, economic growth does not necessarily come with political freedom. The reason why China is doing well is their masses of population, and lack of transparent law. India also has masses of people but they do well only when the trade is favorable, there is political buoyancy. The average life rate in Botswana is 40 years old – come do you compare this economy to folks who are living beyond 80 years. The Russians have slip from 2% to 29% into proverty Globalization will restructure economies in poor countries to their own demise in complicated ways. There are still not over poverty, and the rape of their economies made you the rich countries you are today. Now you wish to repeat history only using different tactics. I have visited lots of third world countries and you can still see the death of train line, that you can still use, but alas, would serve no purpose, as these lines were only set up to transport raw materials to sea. If these poor countries are agricultural economies - firstly subsidies need to go from bigger economies, then those gene modifications – most of the modern advances that the rich countries have capitalized on. I did not believe you would favor retreating into the past - as we have come a far way. But, I reject globalisation for poor countries. I believe for now trading blocs for the poorer nations is a better solution for competition of trade.

Ok, do we even have a national urban policy to settle this numerous amounts of people that are coming. Canada wake up you have a test of color disadvantage in cities like Toronto. You can bring the most highly skilled workforce, with the greatest of education. The reality is when they arrive the gaps that exist in their poor conditions of living are rooted in immigrant status, ethno-racial identity and gender? I don't wish to create hostility - but wanted to ask that if all the "white" Canadians decided to pack up and leave town what will happen to a city full of immigrant population? Toronto already have 58% of foreign born.

How far down the ladder have we gone to consider Sears to be an upscale store? But now that Target is ready to buy out The Bay, things are looking up. "Tar-jay" ..... I like it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Recall: Eaton's was relaunched as Eaton - A Sears Canada Company in 2000 - with 7 upscale stores - subsequently renamed Sears - They never did well. Anyway Sears control 13.8% market share, Bay 5.1, Zellers 4.5 and Walmart 6.9 Four years ago Sears and Bay were doing better Walmart only controlled about 3% then. Companies like Sears and Bay are not fit for Toronto

Americans watching Canadian shows?
RB replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Canada / United States Relations
I never saw the show Whats the difference with the Da Vinci Code - I read that -
See the death of HBC and Sears to go next I mean these big high end stores need to know when to call it quits otherwise, diversify your business folks to compete with Walmart types - discounted stores, get real with market demographics most Canadians are poor Canada is bringing 700,000 more immigrants into the land - you don't thinks these are the folks that will purchase expensive goods

RB, that speech was written for her by a gov't speech writer. They made reference to the fact in one of the accompanying videos (about pundits giving their views on the speech). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, if you were indeed looking to be "queen wannabe" and young girls will be looking up to you as mentor "queen wannabe" you might as well act the part and show your poised and class
-
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh and here I thought it was about the insidious culture promoted about ganging up and assulting women, and that entire team might have been affected
