Period. No need for any rehabilitation. If this were the case, I wouldn't be such a proponent of the death penalty.
  2. Nope. Back to the thread....
  3. Phonetics. Wouldn't want anyone on the boards mispronouncing it (I'm helpful that way). This should help you: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/quebec Unfortunately, my keyboard doesn't have a backwards "e".
  4. And there is where your assumption fails...Alberta WOULD be better off without the rest of Canada, whereas Kwebek would be completely and utterly broke. Before anyone starts with the whole "you obviously don't know how equalization works" crap, know that I DO understand the program very well. It's just a little curious that what Alberta sends to Ottawa in overpayments, Kwebek takes out. Do the math any way you wish.
  5. So, is there a question that goes along with this thread or is it just you standing on a soapbox defending the eastern portion of the country? (Full disclosure: I've lived in Alberta the vast majority of my life and that's quite a while prior to 1982)
  6. No they're not. They are waiting for the right price to be offered. Kwebek only has one concern - extorting the ROC. The line will go through once they are offered the right price. Mark my words on that one. This is strictly about money...always has been and always will be. If not, why did they "allow" Enbridge to reverse the line in the first place?
  7. C'mon....I'm at least a two trick pony (I don't like economic refugees either). I don't speak for Enbridge, but this is a high stakes game for a pile of cash so they may decide that "business purposes" dictate that they alter the usage of that line. It's all about leverage. And since they seem to have the support of most of the affected jurisdictions outside LaGreedy Province, they won't even be painted as the bad guy this time. Leverage. Look it up.
  8. If Enbridge decides to "alter usage" on their line going into Kwebek it sure would. They can decide to mothball that pipeline anytime they want.
  9. As is the norm, Kwebek is standing in the way of something the ROC wants until it's extortion expectations are met. No surprise there. Shut off the valves and let the eastern bastards freeze in the dark..... And for all of those "why is Canada doing business with Saudi Arabia??" types....... http://boereport.com/2016/01/25/saudi-oil-filling-a-new-brunswick-refinery-what-kind-of-an-energy-policy-is-that/ Yes...why are we?
  10. Oh, and people can stuff the "islamaphobe" crap. I'd feel the exact same way if we brought in 25,000 white guys from Alabama. I'm sure it would be exactly the same in reverse (as it should be).
  11. And are those "organizations" offering to pay all the associated health care costs for these economic refugees as well? How about food? Hotel bills? Transportation costs? Schooling costs for their kids? Last time I checked, my municipal taxes were about half made up of school taxes to educate CANADIAN citizens. Where are these refugees getting clothing? Who's paying the electricity bill for all that smartphone charging?
  12. No, this is a belief held by tax paying Canadians that are frustrated with donating time and money to charities to help CANADIANS just to watch Mr Sunni Ways bypass CANADIANS in favor of economic refugees.
  13. We have every right. And so do European countries. Have you noticed the news headlines about those same countries requiring refugees to hand over everything they have worth $2k or more (less in some countries)?? Canada should be doing exactly the same thing.
  14. They are freeloaders that I am paying for. They have exactly zero rights to Canadian money.
  15. 3652 days and 23 hours on this board and not one suspension. I feel like such a failure.

      I'm 18 months suspension sober.

  16. You deserved it. NO ONE disparages Dairy Queen on my watch. Did you report it? You should if it bothers you that much.
  17. Beowulf will likely give you the same "uhm, I think that guy's animated!" feeling. That is still one of the best charts on the net
  18. Uhm...there's no such thing as Windows 11. As for Internet Explorer, pretty much no one on Earth uses it because of it's inherent security flaws.
  19. I've been monitoring the "Moderating Team" link at the bottom of the main page - stll no Kimmy listed as part of the team. Hmmm... This is obviously an affront to women, and more specifically, half-Swedish blondes. I'm disgusted and as such, will begin my occupation of my kitchen fully armed with beer until the situation is rectified. For shame Greg, Charles and the other guy. For shame.

Why do you have fantasies? Is that necessary for intelligent discussions?

  20. Bingo. Only we're not allowed to say that.... Because - developing nations. http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-20-countries-with-the-highest-population-growth.html
  21. Oh thank the ClimateGod for the reprieve! If we give 100 billion a year until 2030, do you think "It" will grant us another 15 years?? I sure hope so (I was losing sleep over potentially missing our "time extension payments").
  22. Low hanging or those they think they can intimidate. Since my wife passed away over three years ago, the CRA has forced me to supply them a notarized letter for each of my two under-18 kids stating that they live with me and I am responsible for them financially. EVERY YEAR. Two letters each year saying that my kids are my kids and I pay for them (they're trying to deny the child tax credit and any associated costs of the kids from my tax submission). I asked my accountant if this was common - the answer? He's never seen one of these demand letters sent to a female client (widow) but some of his male clients in my position receive them. Yup. Quite the well run organization that one.
  23. 64% is weak... http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/22/europe/russia-putin-poll/ Let me know when he gets a REAL approval rating.
  24. The place needs the renovation and since it's owned by Canada, Canada will pay for it. Deferred maintenance is the fault of every PM that has lived there since it was built. Just because you could build a new one for the same money doesn't mean you should. Hell, we likely spend more keeping Sea Kings in the air (or mostly in the air...). Those of us who find the LFC to be intrusive will just ignore it as we always have. Or lie on it. Or get mad about it. There won't be any substantial change to the process just because Juthtin says so. Using taxpayer money to bail out Bombardier has become as "Canadian" as maple syrup and screwing the West. The company only ever posts a profit when they're being given more handouts. I'm pretty sure you could round up all the welfare given to this company over the years and supply every worker they ever had with a retirement fund large enough that they would never have to work again. More ass kissing for Kwebek corporations. Don't expect it to stop with another pseudo french guy at the helm.
