  1. That's you. If you want to compare yourself to these lunatics - that's your own choice. Feel free! You should check out the definition of "DEPROGRAM." We're not on the same page. Believe what you want! Bye.
  2. We are talking about soldiers. As you say, they are deprogrammed to kill (for their country). Killing comes with the territory of being a soldier. Don't compare them, and reduce them to the level of lunatics we see on tv.
  3. Not everyone who watches the news media end up killing, whereas everyone who joins the army does (if it warrants it). Some people who join the army do so for the wrong reason - defending the country, isn't it. They want to kill. Some may have been "triggered" by what they have experienced at wartime - and they commit atrocious acts. We have heard of military men that were kicked out from the military and/or court martialed.
  4. That's the army! Killing is part and parcel of being a soldier - hesitation can kill you, or your team! You said the words: DEPROGRAM. CONDITIONING. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-13687796 If you need to "deprogram" people and "condition" them to become killers - that means, you have to bring that buried killer instinct right out from them.
  5. Lol. What's the population - how many mas murderers? It's about mental health.
  6. ONLY ONE THING IS ALMOST CERTAIN: certain people are prone to it. Not all people who got bullied, or who got abused, or who'd experienced traumatic violence had become mass murderers, and certainly the same can be said for those who are religious or patriotic. We don't know the triggers that could set off someone.
  7. ...or...........I'll be a martyr for Allah if I kill as many infidels as I can. I wonder why isn't religious ideology included in that op-ed? When Islamic terrorism is the most rampant? https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2019-08-04/el-paso-dayton-gilroy-mass-shooters-data I'd say, it's likely that it had inspired some recent mass shooters. Our mainstream 24-hour media had become tabloids! They sensationalize and really milk a tragedy. Copycats! Anything -you-can-do-I-can-do-better!
  8. Media, is another factor that may be contributing to these mass shootings! Look how they do coverage on tragic incidents. They're no longer content to cover it for a day - it goes on, and on, and on! They make a big deal out of grief and sufferings of relatives, like as if we need to be apprised that they grieve at all. Omigosh - the shock of it! People expressed their fear of that moment! Media even cover the funerals in some cases! Just imagine what that do to an egoistic killer (even if his name isn't mentioned at all) who survived that? What more if this turd has a sadistic streak? You can just see the smug little smirk. "I caused all that!"

Still video games, and dvd - lately I'm into old tv series.
  10. I'm not saying it's the only factor. True that all countries have access to violent video games (I'm thinking more of the ones they have online) - but how many from other countries can afford them, compared to the population of the USA that can? How many of these shooters are on drugs? A lot of them have psychological problems. Hollywood is another factor! So many violent movies - the higher the body count, the more exciting and thrilling! Need we say more about society having this hero-worship of movie characters? Like the Matrix, as an example. The Columbine killers wore coats like the ones worn by Reaves in that movie!
  11. Lol, Dia. At least we have that in common. I'm a loner too! In fact, when I first met hubby - when he asked me what my interests are - I started enumerating reading, painting, etc.., (all done by one person). He had to explain that he wanted to ask me out..... But we have our time together. He's somewhat like me too. We have friends, but none that we regularly see.
  12. I think video gaming is a big contributing factor! One could get disensitized when you're always shooting up people (in games) - it doesn't take much for someone with psychological problems to get pushed over the edge. Like one of these two hunted teens from BC - he was apparently big in playing war video games that he had expressed his fantasy of mass killings to a neighbor.
  13. Can someone please explain why my post is gone from Argus' new topic, "People are lonely?"

It was the first response to that topic!

I do hope nobody's playing "exclusion by request of anyone" on this site!

I can say for a fact they are.

A certain poster doesn't like their misrepresentations questioned.

  14. I don't know why my post is missing. It's the first response to this thread! Was it removed??? If so - WHY? My point in that post: serial monogamy may be contributing to people not having any family...... but having a family doesn't seem to offer much anymore because of the internet! Therefore, I don't think serial monogamy is the real problem! Like I've said before, many people are in the same room, or at the same table - and yet, they don't connect, let alone talk! You may have someone in that room physically but you might just as well be alone! Sites like facebook only exacerbate matters for some people.
  15. If climate change is so dire - why aren't they doing anything with travel?  Let's start with planes!

Why are they still allowing people to buy their own airplanes - what's wrong with flying commercial?

Do you think it makes sense to fight doing anything about a problem and then use that inaction to justify itself?

I'm saying climate change may be happening but it's just the way it is.   No one can do anything about it!   Trying to "reverse" it....it's all bull!

I bet it's got to do with MONEY!   Some people are going to be very rich over this - it's just another industry!

  16. No one's forcing people to patronize Chick Fil A. I'm glad Chick Fil A stands by the principle on which their business was founded. If you're not happy with that, take your business elsewhere! But the point is: people don't care about their ideology.... otherwise, it wouldn't be growing and expanding so much - despite the controversies and calls for boycotts - that it's now even considered the threat to McDonald's! Their chicken must really be good!
  17. Did you read the whole article? https://www.forbes.com/sites/aliciakelso/2018/12/20/how-chick-fil-a-positioned-itself-to-be-mcdonalds-biggest-threat/#56b73dd1ae71 It's one of Forbes best employers! https://www.forbes.com/companies/chick-fil-a/#2c0d845719ac
  18. Just came across this heart-warming, humorous anecdote:
  19. Whoooohooooo - it's coming! U.S. fast food brand Chick-fil-A announces plans for Canadian expansion https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/chick-fil-a-canadian-expansion-1.4761183 I do hope so! It'll be a great roll-model for what a perfect employment would be like! Most important of all - BUSINESS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS!
  20. So? If you've got any source that says Chck Fil A isn't growing and expanding, give it - that's how it is in a serious discussion or debate - otherwise, just zip it. Don't bother. Personal opinions are worth squat, and we know why. Here, read it, and weep! https://www.forbes.com/sites/aliciakelso/2018/12/20/how-chick-fil-a-positioned-itself-to-be-mcdonalds-biggest-threat/#3994c5f71ae7 Chick-fil-A is the fast-food chain of the year, and things are only getting better https://www.businessinsider.com/chick-fil-a-is-the-fast-food-chain-of-2018-2018-12 Lol, from a religious perspective, I'd say this company is blessed.
  21. Dems and media are all aghast that Trump put the blame on mental illness!   He's right! What is wrong with that?

Surely, you folks aren't naive enough to think that all people who hate end up killing????

If someone can't harness his hatred that he resorts to violence - then, obviously there's some mental issues going on in there!

When the color of the person's skin is the reason for the shooting, sure. But what the hell is a black shooting? White people shooting blacks? Black people shooting whites? How is it even relevant?

  22. Chick Fil A may be hated by the progressives......but, they're still growing and expanding! That must strike fear into the progressives heart - to see that their mission to sink down Chick Fil A doesn't hurt at all. https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2019/5/29/18644354/chick-fil-a-anti-gay-donations-homophobia-dan-cathy What does that mean? Many, many people think like Chick Fil A, though many of them are silent about it.

  24. Lol.  What's up with Buttgieg's so-called "moment" last night?  You know, the one about his message to the Republicans when they've reached the twilight of their lives - what will they be remembered for?  Whether you had the courage to stand up to Trump, or support his racist views?

What's lost to Buttgieg is that not everyone think Trumps comments are racists!  Only dishonest anti-Trumps and fake news media try to float that!

How about you Democrats?   When you've reached the twilight of your life, how will you be remembered?  Someone who upheld the fundamental freedoms of DEMOCRACY (such as freedom of speech, etc.....), or will you be cursed for being a part that ripped Democracy to shreds, and instead helped firmly install socialism?  Will you be a significant figure in the downfall of America?

Lol, one thing we know for sure  - this batch of Democrats 2019,  will be remembered for being a bunch of scatterbrains who supported the moronic SQUAT!  So, there!

Jeffrey Epstein reportedly visited the White House several times while Bill Clinton was president

    https://www.businessinsider.com/report-jeffrey-epstein-visited-white-house-under-bill-clinton-2019-7

Trump barred Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago over sex assault: court docs

“Trump allegedly banned Epstein from his Maralago Club in West Palm Beach because Epstein sexually assaulted a girl at the club,” according to the papers, filed in the Sunshine State as part of an ongoing legal battle between Epstein and Bradley Edwards, who represented many of Epstein’s underage accusers in civil suits against him.

The filing is dated April 2011, well before Trump ascended to the presidency.

"Well I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him," Trump said. "He was a fixture of Palm Beach. I had a falling out with him a long time ago, I don't think I've spoken to him for 15 years. I wasn't a fan."

The liberal media tried to make a big deal out of this, throw anything at Trump that might stick. But it turns out to be fake news. If it was real, it would still be in the dialogue now. Since the media tongues have stopped wagging on this, it must be a non-starter. That is how we can tell the truth.

I suppose if you are trying to condemn Clinton based in his association with Epstein,

Lol!   The Dems and the anti-Trumps have tried that "association" thingy!   It didn't fly.  Why do you think I brought this up?

Well......Clinton did get busted for Monica Lewinski , and there are numerous accusations of sexual assaults - while he was in a position of power!

Epstein has a connection with powerful people (like Clinton).....so, that makes him powerful.

Clinton's taste for women seemed to have gone  to younger women (when compared to his previous victims)

      Bill Clinton is 72 now.

Look at the age differences of the women:

Both Wiley and Broaderick are in their 70's now.  Flowers is 69.   Jones is 52.  Monica? 46!

Monica, being the youngest at 22 at the time (Bill was 49)!

With Epstein obviously being a close friend - and a frequent visitor to WH -  why shouldn't we poke at that association?
