What they don't understand, Poly, is that "money" is "virtual". When your employer deposits your paycheque into your account, no actual money is transfered -- only the "idea" of the money. A bank does not have wads and wads of cash -- some sure, but certainly not enough if everyone wanted to drain their accounts at the same time.

Of course humans adapt. Trouble is, humans are not the only animals residing on the earth. Those "other" animals don't have houses and air conditioning -- they need decades or centuries to adapt to climate change. But no worries -- humans will be fine -- humans, rats and cockroaches will all adapt just fine.

I forget where I heard/saw/read this but -- apparently in the 1980's only 10% of the population thought fat people were attractive - today 25% of the population think fat people are attractive. Marketing strategty for fat people? Or just acceptance of this "growing" phenomenon? 40% of the population of Canada is considered obese. 2% are gay. I'd say the "fat" disease" is much worse than the "gay" disease.

Ok... I concede. The man wasn't spewing hate from a soapbox and he is allowed to think what he wants. Personally I think fat people are diseased. It's not normal to be obese. Every time I see one chewing their cud and/or ambling slowly (as if they can move any other way) I want to say "move faster and you'd lose some weight!" Of course I don't literally hate fat people, they just disgust me, they are diseased and need to be treated, need to be on diets, need to get off their fat asses... because lord knows their obesity affects me personally because I have to look at them.

That's what my mother thought in the early 70's and that's why we are no longer JWs. What about circumcision though? Some say it is not harmful to the child, whereas some say its traumatizing even for a week old baby. I didn't have my son done (my dad and bro are done -- even though we were JWs, my mom thought it cleaner) because the doc said not to. Well four years later my boy had to get done for medical reasons. It sure was traumatizing then! Poor little guy thought they ruined his equipment he was soooo upset (and sore).

I believe it should be up to the parents... but then again how do we abide by the foreign born father who beats his 13 yo daughter? Is this not his decision as a parent?... If the parents of week old infants have the right to do "what they want" with the children -- does not the father of the 13 yo? This is a no win no matter how yah look at it.

Ready for your shearing Jerr? What about the tail section? Where is it? Did it get "atomized" too? If I ram my car into a brick wall, my taillights will remain undamaged. So it makes sense that the tail of the airliner should have remained undamaged. There is NO debris on the Pentagon lawn. Explain this please. Did all the baggage get "atomized"? Did the bodies of the passengers get "atomized"? Surely ONE bit of evidence of an airliner (and all that it carries) would have survived. Get a grip. Airliners do not "disappear" or "atomize" completely upon impact.

No, I LOOKED at the photographs (with my eyes) of the Pentagon and came to the conclusion that an airliner could NOT have hit it or there would have been airliner parts and body parts. Or Perhaps they have invented a new jet -- one with disappearing wings? Come on. We all saw jets fly into the towers. I was not questioning that. NO ONE saw an jet liner slam into the Pentagon.

In 90% of the cases, if a woman goes "physical" on a man he can simply hold her arms. Threat thwarted. If I slap you chances are you will have a red mark for a day. If you slap me chances are I will end up with a black eye or broken jaw. If your woman is insulting or slapping you -- leave. It's not like you are financially dependant on her. It is much more difficult for a woman to leave an abusive relationship because she is more-than-likely financially dependant. My sister would have left her asshole many years ago, but she cannot afford to live on her own -- $1500 a month is not enough to live on. So she stays, she is miserable. I too, voted stupidity. It continues to amaze me how people can swallow the pap fed to them from the US govt. How can a person look at the damaged pentagon, nod and say "yup hit by a jet airplane". Why is the hole so small when an airliner is so big? Where is the damage that the wings would have caused? For that matter - where are the wings? Did they disintegrate? Where are the passengers' bodies? Disintegrated? But we can be thankful there are some out there who question it. -- You keep it up Polynewbie!
