  1. What I said was: Fact are 'he', I was referring to Trudeau. And the rest of what I said: "Now this to me represents a treachery on the same basis as traitorism." And like what August stated, "If Canada is to remain a federal state, then it cannot have a single cultural policy" And I said: "This of course are the twisted words that still damn Canada and Canadians to-day, outright blackmail." Well, it is blackmail by threatening (bottom line separation) if Canada is to remain a federal state IT CANNOT HAVE A SINGLE CULTURAL POLICY. You wrote: "then why would a policy of multiculturalism solve the problem?" I never said it would. What I said was: "The Royal Commission never did consider initially a multicultural Canadian society but initially only considered a bilingual and bicultural one but was forced to include all cultures making it multicultural.'' I included this as your Trudeau quote: "Mr. Speaker, I am happy this morning to be able to reveal to the House that the government has accepted all those recommendations of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism " simply because bilingualism and biculturalism was never a reality to base anything on and was changed by pressure from the provinces to multiculturalism. BTW- I do favour a unified Canada but not based on culture per say but what the majority of Canadians feel what is important in the way of common objectives. i.e. religion, marriage, schools, Canadian traditons, etc. Quebec should have left years ago.
  2. No certainly not. What I said was relating to the U.S. 'Bill of Rights'. U.S. system is different and can result in a direct vote or referendum if results from a convention fail. Canada has nothing like this. We are led by dictatorial decisions from parliament period. It never goes to the provinces for any form of direct democracy. Definition of convention from Concise Oxford Dictionary- primary definition " a general agreement esp. on social behavior etc. by implicit consent of the majority." This was an agreement between States relating to the acceptance of the 'Bill of Rights' and was accepted by all States involved in that process, which basically is a form of direct democracy the same as what a referendum, direct vote , or plebiscite would provide.
  3. What jester said is true in many cases of breaking and entering. This is especially true in neighbourhoods with a high crime rate relating to 'braking and entering' as these criminals keep tabs on you at all times waiting for the opportune time for another hit. I have lived in this type of neighbourhood and have known people burglarized so many times that they have virtually nothing left in the house. Besides this, after the first burglary your current insurance companies will probably drop you as being 'high risk' or no explanation at all and more than likely no other insurance company will insure you against theft.
  4. I agree, dissolve parliament, and call an election, sooner the better.
  5. So what am I supposed to do? Make a never ending list of what new arrivals ethnic immigrants might be thinking when they hop of the plane? And yes definitely, what I quoted could very well be up and forefront in the minds of new ethnic arrivals.
  6. I had originally neglected to include the lead story, anyways here it is. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/c...dd-62573f627b8f
  7. University Saint -Paul is a separate university from University of Ottawa, although it is federated with University of Ottawa. Ottawa University is touted as simply a bilingual university. Your statement if made in a public way, probably would result in far fewer English speakers applications. BTW-Local media (newspaper) has laid out accounts of Ottawa University admistration discriminating against English speaking students. Your statement is condescending to English speakers of Ontario who pay the bills and form the bulk of Ontario's population of around 12-million, as compared to the Francophone population down around 1/2 million. http://www.media.uottawa.ca/mediaroom/news-details_1217.html Gee, I wonder who Premier of Ontario Dalton McGuinty is working for? Not the federal Liberals, I hope. LEARNING!!!! Not me. What Act is that? The one related to St. Paul University whereas it legally became in 1965 St.Paul University from its previous name Ottawa University designated in 1866.
  8. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/s...22b&k=45526 Looks like Dion is still playing the Afghanistan attack dog. Does Dion not know once in while Canada is compelled to help the U.S. as an ally. The U.S. has 80 treaty level defense agreements with Canada. Why is Mr. Dion behaving in such an incompetent fashion in a time of 'war on terrorism'.
  9. I would say University of Ottawa can do what it wants if it was a private university supported by francophone tax payers.. But it is not. As a matter of fact, That is primarily English tax payers of Ontario. More crying the blues, Well this seems logical to me as Ottawa, Ontario is a majority English city as is the province of Ontario supports a very large majority of English speaking residents. Now Mr.Blois has dragged the federal government into the picture besides Ontario provincial government. Funny thing, Mr. Blois says the federal government has a responsibility (or tax payers of Canada) to support bilingualism and bicuturalism across Canada to help pay for the effort to increase the French presence at the university. Does Mr. Blois not know 'biculturalism' is dead and Canada is 'officially multicultural'. Attracting French students to the university has nothing to do with bilingualism or multiculturalism. I have an answer to this, why not move the university of Ottawa to Quebec where the language is officially French and have the Quebec provincial government and Quebec tax payers pay for funding French ideologies and get rid of the horrible English students who it seems are currently supporting the University of Ottawa.
  10. The U.K. crime rate relating to 'breaking and entry' is close to Canada's 'B&E' crime rate. "Breaking and entering (per 100,000 people) Denmark 2,412 Australia 1,962 Germany 1,918 United Kingdom 1,627 Sweden 1,555 Canada 1,386 United States 1,309 Spain 1,232 Finland 1,008 Luxembourg 984 Switzerland 976 Austria 910 Ireland 855 France 674 Belgium 623 Greece 257 Japan 211 Norway 93 So living in Luxembourg compared to the UK she increases her odds by approx. 643 per 100,000 people from not being hit by a 'break and entry, which equates to not very much. I think mostly though some neighbourhoods are extremely bad compared to others and this makes all the difference in the world and this is where statistics of this sort fail from reflecting large discrepancies relating to this sort of crime. This is very unfortunate though for some people through no fault of their own are forced to endure this type of crime on an ongoing basis due to their inability to afford better accommodation.
  11. I have no idea what new immigrant arrivals think. All I know is they all head off primarily to GTA or Ottawa in Ontario or British Columbia to be with people of their own culture in specific locations. Now there is a black mark right off the bat. You must already know about the stats on that one. Privied?? No I would say ethnic immigrants are not integrating properly and choose to live in the same general areas as others of the the same race, segregated from the general population. This is bad considering the effects of political movements towards their own cultural interest. They are not adapting to Canadian lifestyle and many live like they previously from the old country they originate from. So how can one possibly be loyal to Canada when the only real interest in these ethnics minds is the advancement of their cultural and political interest similar to Quebec. Worst of all, they are protected and encouraged to do as they please by charter rights and freedoms. National values are the citizens country having the same values coast to coast creating a unified Canada. Now you said, "I was under the impression it was to create a nation where I can live safely, I can prosper, I can marry who I want, I can worship anything I want." How can you accomplish anything without a functioning military, a military Mr. Harper has partially salvaged from the destructive Liberal policies, a basic requirement to any country. How can you live safely when national values is split in three, ROC, Quebec and ethnic immigrants? You can't marry anyone you want when especially ethnics who bring to this country not only their religion/politics but their ancient beliefs relating to marrying anyone out of their race. Does it bother you when the preamble to the Canadian charter of rights and Freedoms reads, "Whereas Canada is founded upon the principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law." It must be, because ethnics are responsible for removing Christian beliefs and traditions from the classrooms of the nation. Canada no longer has values or goals relating to a unified Canada since the liberalization of Canada, i.e. the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, that should be renamed, 'Viva La France and the hell with the English values, customs and traditions'.
  12. Which really is a meaningless statement, something most everyone knows. What does this got to do with Canada? And these are the beliefs of socialist Mr. Pierre Elliot Trudeau who never did have any business forcing and implementing his cultural aspirations on Canadians and their already established country. The Royal Commission never did consider initially a multicultural Canadian society but initially only considered a bilingual and bicultural one but was forced to include all cultures making it multicultural. I often wondered how the Liberals (government of the day) influenced this commission as the commission was bent on cultural aspirations and something that Trudeau agreed with, "It was the view of the royal commission, shared by the government", "quoted from the transcript, House of Commons on 8 Oct 1971)" Facts are, obviously he thought the White English speaking Christian Canadians (both Catholic and Protestant) wielded to much political power, and did not want Quebec to play any type of underdog and decided to do something about it. Now this to me represents a treachery on the same basis as traitorism. And like what August stated, "If Canada is to remain a federal state, then it cannot have a single cultural policy" This of course are the twisted words that still damn Canada and Canadians to-day, outright blackmail. What bothers me, is that no political action was ever taken to halt this blackmail and it continues to this day with the ROC catering to Quebec costly demands both monetary and political.
  13. I mixed up the stats relating to 62-63. Anyways in 1963, Pearson was elected PM and Libs won 47 seats in Quebec, Social Credit 20 and the Conservatives were reduced to 8 seats. This was the beginning of the end for any none Quebec politician to make substantial gains in Quebec. My money says you will never see another Dief streak ever again with 'out of Quebec federal politicians' playing federal politics in Quebec and currently is not only a waste of time but has created dysfunctional federal politics in Canada.
  14. That must of been 'La Grand Fluke' because because the following election in 1962 the Conservatives not only lost to the Liberals but lost also in Quebec with a grand total of only 14 seats.
  15. ZILTCH! Any political party (discounting any other major drawback) that makes it know they are directly going to strongarm Alberta's energy sector has cooked its goose before they even hit the campaign trail.
  16. This is still not a substantial number and one should remember John Turner is a Liberal.
  17. I would say 25 seats in Quebec would be substantial. That would be about 33% of Quebec's total seats. Actually Dion getting 10 seats in Alberta would be more than Harper getting 25 seats in Quebec. Percentage wise Dion would get 35.7% of the total federal seats in Alberta.
  18. Name me one national party in recent times, with an non-Quebec leader, that has ever made substantial headway in Quebec. BTW-The Liberals are traditionally a Quebec party. Federal politics is a 'no go' in Quebec and I cannot believe national political parties continue to treat Quebec in a fair and equal mannerism when all Quebec is after is more money and more powers to benefit Quebec's own nationalistic aspirations and the hell with federalism.
  19. In the 7th century a monk from Crediton, Devonshire, went to Germany to teach the Word of God. He did many good works there, and spent much time in Thuringia, an area which was to become the cradle of the Christmas Decoration Industry. Legend has it that he used the triangular shape of the Fir Tree to describe the Holy Trinity of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The converted people began to refer to the Fir tree as God's Tree. By the 12th century it was being hung, upside-down, from ceilings at Christmastime in Central Europe, as a symbol of Christianity. Germanic tribes of Northern Europe also celebrated mid-winter with feasting, drinking, religious rituals and the lighting of the yule log. During the Middle Ages, Catholic priests sought connections between biblical teachings and pagan traditions - believing that a convergence of customs would lead more individuals to Christianity. The celebration of Jesus' birth was melded into other age-old practices and became known as the "Christ mass." Firelight represented the light of Christ. Gift giving was linked to the presents of the wise men. Trees were decorated with apples associated with the biblical Garden of Eden. Simply because a holiday was once celebrated by pagans does not make the believer guilty of worship by association. If I celebrate Jesus' birthday at Christmas time, this is a good practice. I am doing it "to the Lord," not to a pagan god who no on remembers or knows anything about that god.
  20. You are wrong. The very name Easter is derived from Ishtar or Astarte, a pagan goddess.
  21. And how do you know that? Can you see how he is arbitrating or how he mediates and under what basis and how he goes about settling a dispute, possibly even in a unilateral fashion? Please tell.
  22. What I am saying is there is not much left of Canadian nationalistic objectives and ideologies to support in Canada. Americans are confronted with ILLEGAL Mexican immigration, cheap labour and outsourcing to the point where it is affecting their economy by removing legitimate job opportunities for qualified American workers. In Canada, Canadians are confronted the with same problems but with LEGAL mass ethnic immigration with the major difference being, it is condoned and promoted by our own federal government and with the protection of Charter rights embedded in the Canadian constitution relating to religion and culture and all other rights afforded to Canadians the second they step off the boat. In the U.S. ethnics present no real problem, as mostly they are all Americans in pursuit of the American dream like any other American. In Canada our national objectives and ideologies have been next to none existent with the continual cultural battles between Quebec /and the other Canadian provinces and now mass ethnic immigration and the multitude of problems again further interfering with Canadian nationalistic objectives and ideologies. In other words there is no reason to support Canada as a country anymore and this is why I said " I would sooner give my soul to Americans than in Canada to ethnics" or for that matter, Quebec whereas in the U.S. common national objectives and ideologies and loyalties are strong and unified.
  23. Would you consider the liberalization of Canada including the Charter, prime ingredients as to why maintaining law and order in Canada, is so problematic?
  24. I place no emphasis on origins including my own because ever since birth my national identity in this country is being a Canadian, loyal to Canadian national objectives and Canadian ideologies. I place absolutely no importance on my families previous origins. Canadians have fought long and hard to achieve their personal economic success only to have it destroyed by ABNORMAL ethnic mass immigration. It would be nice if the federal government could clearly explain in a coherent manner, WHO is responsible for forcing mass ethnic immigration on Canada and WHY, knowing full well third world immigration would be problematic and divisive here in Canada. I would sooner give my soul to Americans rather than ethnics any day if that is the choice I am left with.
  25. Bottom line IMO, is the self-preservation of our national interest coupled our 'four freedoms', freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from fear and freedom from want. It appears your own national interest are anothers national interest or you would not be asking this question.
