  1. ..............damn that's funny!
  2. - ur adorable when u try to be clever............. maybe try harder?
  3. ha ha - dude, ur the reason they put instructions on a toothpaste tube.
  4. A drivers license does not confirm citizenship?
  5. Difficult to calculate the number of disenfranchised voters that will result with this act. Not because of citizenship - but the inability to confirm it. (Passport?) A conservative estimate is that less than 50 percent of eligible voters possess passports. ....... suppose it should be mentioned that a birth certificate can be incredibly confusing - thru marriage, etc. Love it or hate it, the Act is a form of voter suppression.
  6. Canada - 40 million people - 2nd largest geo footprint - rich as Croesus in terms of natural resources / fresh water. What could go wrong? Politics!
  7. Russian declared war on Japan, August 9, 1945 - the same day the U.S. dropped their second nuc One strategic nuc dropped on Tehran would most definitely end the War. Enola Gay and Bockscar were the B29s that dropped the fission bombs 'Little Boy' and 'Fat Man' on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Just (2) a/c - (2) bombs - 100k civilians killed in the blast alone. Japan was literally faced with annihilation - they capitulated - unconditionally.
  8. Some people continue to claim the Earth is flat. For them scientific proof to the contrary is a lie – doctored. It isn’t simply the shape of the spaceship tho; it is about distrusting anything/everything, official – the scientific community, the medical community ………. indeed any government institution. Politically, it is about grooming the distrust and exploiting it. Flat earth, measles, vax, climate change, 9/11, Germans bombing Pearl, Elvis alive on Mars, elections, all follow the game plan; groom distrust. …………. the ethernet is the global leverage. A disingenuous political hack (all to a more or less degree) objective is to destroy societal norms. Oh yeah, climate change is real, vax saves lives and Elvis is not alive on Mars.
  9. When people say things will be OK - it does not mean that things will turn out the way they hoped it would.
  10. People will become complacent - basically, 'fk it'!
  11. ............. so ur suggesting there's political grift on a scale that makes Musk look like a piker? haha - how revealing. Ya can't stop climate change - the spaceship is akin to a sub with a faulty ventilation system. The World is not that coordinated.
  12. If ur disingenuous in intent, then the 'save America' is a vehicle that can be used to introduce controversy in an election, after the fact. Introduce malaise - legitimacy?
  13. The best way to find out if you can trust someone / thing, is to trust them. Exhibit A: Donald Trump election promises (border notwithstanding)
  14. Surprised this hasn't got back to the hanging Chad debacle. Gore conceded and Bush was awarded the State's electoral votes.
  15. ............. arguably has an effect on global stability? ya think?
  16. Save America - a bit dramatic but very effective. I'm not even going to debate the necessity. What I would debate is the manner in which it will introduce controversy re: the validity of the vote, post election. The Courts will be deciding future elections. U can trust them apolitical hacks, right?
  17. So-called, Climate Change will crap on the global economy, not the reverse. Ur correct tho, to call it a crisis is arguably a dramatic description - crisis signifying urgency? The global economy is just that - reliance on other Nations .......... for the sake of argument lets focus on domestic food security in terms of import and export. The U.S. is a major player in global food production - huge industry - worth about 200 billion - feeds the world, baby. Agriculture depends on weather patterns and the all important access to fresh water. A recent study found intensifying climatic extremes, combined with disruptive human interventions (groundwater overextractions) are driving alarming water related agricultural costs. The cost of production and the cost to the domestic consumer is a direct relationship - think inflation. Now project this inadequacy of fresh-water -security globally and the effects on those countries food security concerns, their exports and the effect on their economies. Ya think it could affect global food security and if it did, what would be the result - Four Horses of the Apocalypse, maybe? Climate change is not a crisis - but it is insidious. Likely it will not have a dramatic effect on this gen - maybe the next - but def the following. Relax - it don't concern U - old man! haha
  18. So called, anti-scientific beliefs in a flat Earth are promoted by a number of organizations and individuals. The claims of modern flat earth proponents are not based on scientific knowledge and are contrary to over two millennia of scientific consensus base on multiple confirming lines of evidence that the Earth is roughly spherical. Flat Earth beliefs are classified by experts in physics as a form of science denial. Publishing reams of data supporting the belief that the planet is indeed spherical would be pointless. For a political hack, the easiest way to solve a problem is to deny that it exists.
  19. Newfoundland was a British colony from inception to 1949. As a colony it's very limited economy was supported by Great Britain. Post WWII with Great Britain facing staggering debt due to WWII, the mother country wanted Newfoundland to decide on independence or becoming a p/o Canada. Today, Federal transfer payments are crucial to Newfoundland and Labrador - they provide the provincial government with the economics to deliver essential public services.
  20. ................. dude, I think I hit a nerve ............ relax and get urself a mil-spec paper bag, repeat as necessary. Of late, rambling speeches / rhetoric litter our lives. If talk is cheap it’s because the supply today is definitely exceeding the demand – by far!
  21. Gen Doug MacArthur advocated for the use of nuclear weapons during the Korean War.
  22. Quebec receives around 800 million / year from the Feds to support their health system.
  23. The majority are more concerned (alarmed?) with the lies, exaggerations, lack of planning, hubris and chest thumping coming out of the White House than they are with the attack on Iran itself. Although the U.S. military has demonstrated outstanding professionalism, precision and training in carrying out their objectives, the same certainly could not be said about the amateurish political performance of Trump and his Administration as a whole. There is some validity to the accusation that Trump punches, 'down' when it comes to projecting force - no problem in my book, but it is wise to recognize it - there can be some 'slop' is judgement punching, 'down'. Trump has 3 years left in his tenure, considering what we're witnessing in Iran as an example, do you think that he (Trump) and his administration are capable of making the correct decisions if there is a requirement for him to, 'punch up'. If the case arose (and it could very easily) do you think he is even capable of communicating correctly and honestly to the American people the why, where and how of his actions? Could his cadre? HE IS 80 YEARS OLD - running free and acting on whims - he does not know what he is doing and is surrounded by those who won't speak truth to power. Israel has the correct objective - turn Iran into another Syria. I am not against the attack per se, but the method in which it was carried out and the communications sustaining it (?) - most definitely! Declare victory, GTFO - leave it to Israel - they do have a plan. BTW - Iran does not possess ICBMs.
  24. Ironic in the sense that it saved lives on both sides. Many believe that the nuclear scientists that developed the bomb were motivated more by gaining the notoriety of being one of those confirming the theory of uncontrolled fission ....... rather than any sense of patriotism.
