What a dumb and dishonest thread this is. The Supreme Court literally read the law as written here. They never said the state can't make gratuities illegal, just that this statute did not cover them. You guys want the Supreme Court to write law here or to do what you think is right... not what is lawful.

Still making subjective comments about me instead of being "objective" on the subject you claim to be "objective" on here. This has nothing to do with your claim about Israel's subjugation... Israel did not even exist at this point. You are just grasping at straws and throwing mud at the wall because the facts are that Israel coming into existence did not subjugate the Palestinians.
-
The local school puts up posters for all sorts of stuff... you read them or you don't. No one there is telling kids they have to believe what they say... It is called the LGBTQ Pride Flag... it is exclusive to all others. It is the same reason you refuse to say you support the straight pride flag... or the Christian Flag... or the Pro-Life Flag...
-
Here you are again, pushing your subjective emotional views of me. This isn’t objective nor is it focused on Israel or Hamas. You do this to avoid any real debate or criticism of your so-called “objective” posts.
-
Try googling this history of Israel, they were not subjugating Palestinians on day one... they each had their own land... It was Palestinians who waged war against them on day one. No, not really. You are clearly emotionally invested in your subjective views of the posters, as you were here to me, instead of objectively evaluating my arguments.

Forcing Women to Register for Draft

Again, equality is not some 100% or nothing proposition. -
The only person playing games here is you Mr you are the only objective one *cough* yeah right. After I pick apart your reasoning and expect you to defend your baseless assertions about me... you run away. LOL
-
Can you tell me why someone would intervene in a rape without even bothering to understand the motivations behind it? Not every situation, nor is the one in Israel, a purely simple observation of something happening in nature like why it is dry in Nevada. What lack of objectivity? You simply assert this as if that makes it true. If you care about why this keeps going, you need to understand the motivations behind why it keeps going. What you are doing is sitting there like, golly gee wiz, why does that guy getting kicked keep fighting back? Hmmm... if only I the amazingly objective person here could possibly ponder why... because I don't care if it is right or wrong to kick someone or not or if it is right or wrong to fight back or not... I guess I will just ponder on this mystery of the universe forever.

No, you don't. What you say has validity or it doesn't. You are engaged in fallacious reasoning just dismissing what people say as if you are the objective one and they are not. Moral high ground is just a common saying, you are just reading more into what I said than I did to try to make a point that doesn't exist. You can't ever know why if you don't care who is right or wrong, as those are all components of the why.
-
You don't know anything about my passions and you are just dismissing my comments instead of dealing with their validity while pretending like you hold some objective moral high ground... you don't.

This conflict has almost nothing to do with limited resources. They hate Jews. They hate Israel. They want them to all die or go away. Of course violence will continue with that mentality. You don't have to be some kind of wizard with special powers to see the future to grasp this. It is nothing like two siblings... this is not some small fight over toys or something. This is one group fighting for their survival and another group that wants to destroy them.

Trump’s Too Stupld to Understand Drinking Water
User replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Boulder Dam was almost 100 years ago. Congratulations, you want a cookie or something? We are talking about the last 40 years now. The Democrats of today and the last 40 years are not the same as those in the 1930's. -
Trump’s Too Stupld to Understand Drinking Water
User replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
LOL, sure, of course... Democrats have just stalled the process for 40 years now. From the first link, no, it is not just a timing issue... Democrats oppose this for all the usual excuses and I also called out left wing groups, even when some Democrats do support them, their left wing environmentalist friends stop it... "Brown’s administration isn’t inclined to provide that funding. It opposes raising the height of the dam citing environmental impacts as well as the risk of flooding sacred grounds belonging to the Winnemum Wintu Indian tribe. Read more at: https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article205939189.html#storylink=cpy" The moral of this story is as I said... Democrats consistently oppose the creation of additional water storage capacity with new dams. -
The Motivated Ignorance of Trump Supporters
User replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Address the nation... when? Trump made something like half a dozen communications that day, including a video address. -
There was no subjugation on day one. Palestinians had their own land at the time. There was no subjugation. What are you even talking about?

AOC Calling For Violence
User replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Clearly not. The vast majority went peacefully and then home peacefully. The worst offenders that day planned for the violence ahead of time. -
This is not a Tango. It is a street fight, where the Palestinians keep pushing, punching, and kicking Isreal and Israel keeps fending them off, until one day the Palestinians pushed too hard and now Israel is saying enough. Yet again, you draw some false moral equivalency here between the two... and then you wonder why we say you support Hamas. Killing people is not a war crime, it is literally the by product of war. The fact that Isreal can do it better is a good thing. You have to do it better to be able to win. Israel captures people as part of criminal investigations under Military detention who were in the act of stabbing and trying to kill Israelis... it is no where near the same thing as Hamas rolling into neighborhoods and just grabbing people at random to hold as hostages. Israel keeps their prisoners according to standards that can be observed in actual prison locations... Hamas hides their hostages... because they are hostages. Yet again... this is why we say you support Hamas as you sit here saying Israel is worse. Since day one the Palestinians have gone to war against Israel. If they didn't do that and did not continue to do that with other Arab countries... this is on them.

Forcing Women to Register for Draft

It is not women pushing for this. And AGAIN, equality does not mean 100% or nothing. Women are not physically equal to men... nor is our society disposed to women in the military in general or combat. -
US Federal Deficit Fell 50% in Biden’s First Year
User replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There is not one government program I can think of that has not substantially grown in the last 40 years or at a minimum kept up with inflation, not any example of government at state level, definitely not federal, that has not grown or expanded. Revenue is up, not down for taxes collected. You are calling for more spending now, which is different than claiming we are under austerity. Taking 1/3 of peoples money is not absurdly low, and many so called "rich" pay up to half or more of their earnings. Taking more money from people = taking more money out of the economy where money is better spent. Government does an abysmal job spending money or caring about it or doing what is best with it. -
AOC Calling For Violence
User replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Based on what? His public comments after indicate otherwise. “The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy,” he said. “To those that engage in the acts of violence and disruption, you do not represent our country. To those that broke the law, you will pay.” https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/07/politics/trump-biden-us-capitol-electoral-college-insurrection/index.html -
Adults do more than say lame when responding to someone as well... yet again, you want to elevate the discussion, look within. A flag that represents telling people things that are not true and singles out select groups for "pride" is by definition exclusive. That symbol does not represent pride for straight people, which is inherently exclusive. Even now, you exclude people saying only oppressed people need a message of pride. Do you support having a straight pride flag in the classroom?

He did not post that as an example of speech he was somehow against being free speech, he posted that because you tried to claim: "You can't even grasp that the immigrants are leaving there to get away from that bullshit, not coming here to spread it."

I don't know how you can sit here saying we are under any form of austerity right now with a straight face.
