No, you are a coward hiding. Rumors of deployments come before official orders. When I deployed to Iraq, my unit first asked if I wanted to go, then months later after knowing there was a slot for me and asking, I finally got official orders. Same thing happened when I volunteered for Afghanistan twice. Both times I was told I was going and then months later when they realized they already had the slots filled and didn't need me, the official orders never came. This is a dishonest game being played by folks acting like you don't know you are being deployed or could be until the official orders come.

Proof was provided by two CSM's who did serve in the same unit in the National Guard and retired too... so no, it is not just a bunch of keyboard warriors. I also served in the military as well.
