What about the billionaires that back Biden? Thirty-two billionaires and their spouses gave to Biden’s campaign in March, including 27 who donated to Biden for the first time, according to a Forbes analysis of the latest Federal Election Commission filings. Aren't they backing the first President to use lawfare against a political rival? Isn't that far more authoritarian than the President that cut regulations and taxes while securing the boarder and maintaining international peace? A cursory read of this article appears to show that it is a hit piece, designed to suppress Musk's opinions regarding Biden. Why does the left have to try and stop conservatives from talking? We love it when yall talk. We know what you are saying is crap. We want everyone else to hear it, so they know who to vote for. We only lose when libs hide their message well enough.

Every social media company is a private company. If they dont take appropriate steps to protect children, don't use their product. If their policies result in your children being victimized, sue them. I think the system will work itself out. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be oversight. TikTok is so invasive that Ds and Rs agree it should not be owned in China. How bad must it be for our politicians to agree on what has to be done? There probably needs to be more regulation and oversight than we currently have. That is hard for me to say because I'm a libertarian leaning conservative. However, it is difficult to impossible for the consumer to determine what they are giving to the company.

My bad. Sorry. -
They bring in, at the federal level, about $3T a year. That should be enough. But your qualifier makes your statement correct. It is not enough for what the government wants to do. That doesn't mean it isn't enough. They want to over spend. SS isn't the only welfare spending. Medicare, Medicaid, sCHIP, school lunches, school breakfast, summer school lunches, etc etc etc. We spend a ton on that. And $0 is Constitutionally allowed. As for the Constituion, it is old, but it is law. It is also amenable. We can make changes, if we want. The argument that it is old and doesn't apply to today, does not apply to our Constitution. If it was bad, we would fix it. It hasn't been fixed, so it must not be bad enough.

Why lie when it is so easily debunked? 2015 $2.45 2016 $2.14 2017 $2.41 2018 $2.74 2019 $2.64 2020 $2.17 2021 $3.05 2022 $3.29 2023 $3.22 (Source: https://www.creditdonkey.com/gas-price-history.html) -

Any? I'm sure there is some circumstance some where. The better question would be if a different Democrat or independent ran against Trump, would I, or anyone else not vote for Trump. The answer is absolutely. I've always considered Trump a bombastic jacka$$. He's only ran the first time because he thought he could gain. He hasn't stopped because he can't stand to lose. I voted for him the first time because the alternative was the most evil woman in the history of politics. I voted for him the second time because the policies worked and Biden is a more-on. I feel like I picked correctly both times. But my support for him isn't about him. It never has been. It has been about how disgusting democrats are. These lawfare attacks have only hardened that opinion. To be fair, I have Republicans I hate. Mitch McConnel is one of them. He's entrenched in the beltway. We need this country to be turned over to normal people. Not some chosen elites that let the top 0.1% tell them what to do. -

I just learned last night that if the Trump organization had designated the payment as a campaign expense, that would have violated campaign finance regulations. To make that clear to the left, if he had done what Bragg claims he should have done, the FEC would have gone after him. So, in the FEC's eyes, the way he categorized it was the only legal way to categorize it. Now, what Cohen did was probably a violation of campaign finance. The $130k is in excess of the maximum contribution. Even though it was repaid, loans are.covered in the FEC rules. But, the FEC didn't consider the loan a campaign expense because it was personal in nature, was related to events before the campaign and likely would have happened if there was no campaign. -

Why did everyone fall for this flame bait? Clearly this is either a member that created a second account or a troll that wanted to watch everyone go crazy. -
Well, lets see here. You claim D'Souza is a horrible person for making wild claims without proof while making some wild claims and offering no proof? I'm not going to spend time looking up and debunking claims if you can't even prove those claims were made.

That's my point. You do what he needs you to do, but he never has to tell you to do it. Same thing happens with the MSM and all the surrogates. They don't have to told what to do, they just do it. So why would he habe to tell the jury what to do? They've had 24/7/365 drumming of comvict him at all cost messaging from every news and print outlet in the state. They knew what to do.

Chicago School Board
gatomontes99 replied to Fluffypants's topic in State Politics in the United States
I have a friend who's daughter is a huge lib...well....was. She worked as a councilor in a Chicago school. She can't take it any more. She's moving back to Texas. She put in her notice earlier in the school year. She was a Biden supporter, she's sitting this election out. Liberalism is fine and dandy when it is a theory. In practice, it is hell. -
We have plenty of revenue. What we need is less spending. Less spending starts with stepping back from being the world's police. Yes, that probably means a lesss stable international political climate, but we can't afford it. Next we need to phase out all welfare programs. They are not constitutional. Let the states establish and run programs they feel are appropriate for their citizens. Finally, we have to return to the constitutional requirements for spending. There.are supposed to be budgets, that originate.in the house and then are modified by the senate before both houses of the legislative branch reconcile the differences and send.it to the POTUS for approval. It's been what? A decade or more? Since we had an appropriate budget.

Psst...he's not a Democrat. Sorry to embarrass you.

Your headline and story is a lie: Salem Media Group, Inc.’s (OTCQX: SALM) former publishing division, Regnery Publishing (together, “Salem”), published a film and book entitled 2000 Mules that examines allegations of voter fraud related to the 2020 presidential election. In publishing the film and the book, we relied on representations made to us by Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote, Inc. (“TTV”) that the individuals depicted in the videos provided to us by TTV, including Mr. Andrews, illegally deposited ballots. We have learned that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has cleared Mr. Andrews of illegal voting activity in connection with the event depicted in 2000 Mules. Salem got sued and did not discount the accusations of fraud but acknowledged that Mr. Anderson was found to be innocent: CNN — Salem Media Group, the right-wing talk radio network owner, issued a public apology and said it would stop distributing a discredited 2020 election conspiracy theory film after a Georgia man wrongly accused of voter fraud sued the company for defamation. The Georgia man, Mark Andrews, said in his 2022 lawsuit that “2000 Mules,” a film and book by far-right activist Dinesh D’Souza contained a string of bogus claims about the 2020 election, leading to threats of violence against him and his family. The movie relied heavily on circumstantial evidence and showed videos as examples of what fraud might look like. In so doing, they implicated at least one person that was cleared by Georgia. However, the conclusion that there was voter fraud is not part of Salem's statement. Further, this type of fraud was previously revealed in a NY Post article that interviewed a Democratic Party operative. NY Post In fact, from 2000 to 2012, democrats hated mail in ballots because they were relied upon by our military personell that were deployed. Since many of them maintained an address in Florida, to avoid state income tax, military voters were credited with helping GWB win Florida. Or did you forget all the allegations of fraud in Florida when Gore lost? Error and Fraud at Issue as Absentee Voting Rises While an image from the film was likely inaccurate, the conclusions are still plausible. That makes your news article, that claims this is an admission the whole thing was a lie, a lie.
