All you are doing is supporting my position. There is a representative democracy that is similar to what Cali does. They have reps and then the citizens of Cali vote for legislation. As a country, we dont do that. Our reps write, sponsor and vote on legislation. We are a constitutional republic. We use the democratic principle that all citizens (in good standing...aka not in jail) vote on who represent them. But we are not a democracy in that we don't vote on legislation.
