Meme/Cartoon of the Day
Fluffypants replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Joe Scarborough is either the biggest political sell out ever or woke leftism is a STD. He was buddies with Trump and a Republican until he started cheating on his wife with Mica and suddenly he hates Trump, loves Biden and takes every Democrat position. -

The Case for Joe Biden Staying in the Race
Fluffypants replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Problem is that it is not going to get better for Biden those prospects have a legitimate shot at improving their position, Biden doesn't. Everyone will be watching his speeches like a hawk and pointing out every fumble. He would have to be perfect, not only with giving teleprompter speeches and go into hostile interviews, like Fox News (which he has not has not granted a single interview) and having actual press conferences. He needs to have a cognitive test to allay any fears of cognitive decline. Barring any of these things his poll numbers will only decline more and more and soon California would even be in play for Republicans. Now it will be a difficult election for any Democrat to win at this point considering the perception of the country's situation even if Biden was in perfect working order. -
Daily Dose of Dementia

Your country is already a lost cause one more liberal isn't going to change anything. Biden is letting everyone and their grandma in illegally just claim asylum and you will probably even be allowed to vote in the next election if you go to the right state. -

Are the Democrats an Actual Cult?
Fluffypants replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Its like this is some new thing, this has been understood for years, we had Presidents breaking the law left and right for years but it was for official acts. If we had the attitude Dems had today Lincoln would of been jailed for suspension of Habeas Corpus. Obama targeted and killed American citizens. It wasn't until it was tested by the Democrats going after Trump with lawfare that it had to be said outright. What is and isn't an "official act" hasn't been clarified and that is what the courts are going to do now. Now when you go after Presidents legally you have justify whether or not what he did was in his job as President or not. Making claims that he can just send in Seal Team 6 to kill his political opponents is dangerous and incorrect. So now Democrats are saying Trump is toooooo dangerous to be President and he must be stopped. What is going to stop some lone gunman from taking action to try to assassinate the evil dangerous Trump based on this rhetoric. Sick thing is people like Robo would be dancing in the streets if that happened. -

No he didn't he told the countries who weren't contributing enough that they needed to start pulling their weight and it worked so NATO actually got stronger. We flip the bill for everything and then let these other countries walk all over us and treat us like shit. If there was no NATO then these countries would have to pay for a real military and all those pretty little socialist programs would have to go away because they won't be able to afford them anymore.

Happy Independence Day!
Fluffypants replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
We had to fight for our independence from England and you got it handed to you. -
You realize Trump was President before and none of that happened even though you all kept insisting it would and now you are still playing the same tired song. This is the Hootie and the Blowfish political accusation. You literally have world leaders and Americans wondering who the President really is right now because Joe is so far gone.

Exactly right because Russia invaded Ukraine because liberals cower before brutal thugs and make empty threats. Every deal liberals make with these thugs gives up way more to get little. Example, trading a notorious arms dealer for a WNBA player. Iran nuclear deal was a joke, we unfroze billions of dollars for a pinky swear that they won't develop nuclear weapons for 10 years without any real teeth to checking to make sure they weren't. The Afghanistan pull out that you love to tout as Trumps plan wasn't actually Trumps plan. I just heard a story about when Trump was negotiating with the leader of the Taliban over the pullout and Trump told him that this would happen with conditions and one of them was if a single hair on an American service members head was hurt he would kill the leader he was negotiating with and hands him a satellite image of the leader's home and walks out. Things you say versus what you do are 2 very different things. Trump at no point showed weakness to our enemies, we gave N Korea nothing and Lil Kim stopped testing rockets . Trump gave Putin nothing and he didn't even make a move to go after Ukraine. He did however killed one of Iran's generals and gave them the middle finger and their response was weak. They fired some rockets and did minimal damage in order to save face. Never said anything again about it. Liberals are like chihuahuas and bark a lot but when push comes to shove they don't back up their threats, who remembers "the red line in Syria". This is why Russia invaded Ukraine because they didn't believe we would do anything about it. Trump wasn't tested because they were afraid to test him. He is a lot like Reagan in that way the rest of the world thought he was crazy and didn't want to go directly against him for fear of what he would do.

For most of the potential candidates it would be like taking over a war that your side is losing without a military. They will have to start from scratch no cash, no staff and no infrastructure. The new candidate can't just take over from the old candidate. I don't know how many candidates would even want to run this year under these circumstances.

SC rules presidents have immunity
Fluffypants replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You mean like prosecuting their political opponents? Democrats keep telling us Trump is a traitor and a dictator why not take out the most dangerous man in America before he can become President? -

If that is the case Biden can solve the Trump problem right now then couldn't he? -
SC rules presidents have immunity
Fluffypants replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This doesn't mean the President can't be prosecuted, it means the court is going to have to determine whether what he did falls under an official act or not. This decision just increases scrutiny on prosecutors when going after a President. You Democrats opened up a dangerous can of worms by going after Trump and the Supreme court is trying to put them back into the can. -

Fluffypants replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
They haven't put limits in yet, all these things will come before the court and the court will decide whether they are immune or not. Not that you can just do whatever you want. All they are saying that there has to be some level of immunity or every election the former President would be brought up on charges. This has never been brought up by the courts but this is the first time you had a current administration going after a former President legally. -
