Who will Make Canada Great Again?
NAME REMOVED replied to athos's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
@CdnFox is so brain dead, that he actually tried to argue that COVID was more prevalent in Warmer climates, when nearly all scientific evidence shows the opposite. This just underscored how well Canada contained the pandemic, compared to our American counterparts. I've been on this forum for over a year, and I have never gone a day, without reading some inaccurate observation, or deliberate disinformation coming from CdnFox. He is an old man, and wants to argue, for attention. -

Once again, no argument here. -

Many Western European cities had earlier outbreaks (specifically Italy and Spain), before there were any large outbreaks in the United States. Without the death rate of the United States. India, China, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, and the Phillippines all are more densely populated than the United States. There are several cities in India, China, Philippines that have higher population densities than NYC. Paris, Rome, London, Madrid, Seoul, and Tokyo have similar population density to NYC. Yes, you are. No argument here. That funny thing is, it's been well documented that warmer states had LOWER COVID rates than colder states. That explains the low prevalence of COVID in Africa. Do you deliberately spread bullshit all the time? I mean can't you at least try to get your facts correct? That may be too advanced for you. I recommend "Little Sally learns about COVID." It has a Grade 2 reading level. -
No, the AR-15 is a lousy rifle to hunt big game. AR-15 should only be used by law enforcement agencies, or the military.
-
"Hunting rifles and shotguns are neither restricted nor prohibited, but it is illegal to possess them without a firearms acquisitions certificate. People who have committed certain serious crimes are not eligible for an acquisition certificate to possess any firearm. Also ineligible is anyone with a record of violence or treatment for mental disorder associated with violence in the five years before applying for a certificate. There is a 28-day waiting period for a certificate, and it costs $50. The law, with minor exceptions, restricts the magazine capacity of hunting rifles and shotguns to five rounds." ==== There ya go, @CdnFox. As per usual, you have no idea about what you are talking about. I am now going to take a dump in your mouth, for all the bullshit you peddle. At least your breath will smell better, after I am finished.

I'm surprised that the number of people who think there are too many immigrants, is only 65%. It is a huge problem, considering we are in a virtual recession, and in Alberta the unemployment rate is at 8%. Too many Indians have been admitted. We need to curtail immigration from Asia, since we are admitting far too many people from that part of the World. Companies are hiring Indians and Filipinos only, since they know that first generation Asians are not used to civil and workers rights, and will never complain. It erodes the health and safety of the workers, and drives down the cost of labour. We should only be admitting tons of immigrants if the unemployment rate drops below 4%. As for mass deportations, I am against it, in a pragmatic sense. It would cost billions to track down the 4 million temporary residents. I am all for tightening laws, and increasing scrutiny when people overstay their welcome though. I just think it would be impractical to try and deport that many people in a short period of time.

Was Tommy Douglas a criminal too?

That is strange. There were more deaths from COVID in America (especially per-capita) than more densely populated areas such as India, China, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Lapan, Korea, Phillippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Mexico, etc. -

Would I would like to lead Canada: Adam van Koeverden Koeverden competed for Team Canada in the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympics, winning a Gold Medal in the 500 metre kayak final. He was chosen to carry the Canadian flag at the closing ceremonies in Greece. He is the most successful Olympic Kayaker in Canadian history. My dream was to make the Olympics in Kayaking myself, but I had a career ending back injury when I was young, and only made it to the National Junior Development Team. Koeverden has been a Member of Parliament for 5 years. he is 42, and has what it takes to lead this nation. -
Elaborate, please..

It's too late. He is an old man that yells at clouds.

Pretty much this. I applaud him for taking the initiative to incapacitate a violent person, but I thought he could have should have released the hold as soon as Neely went limp. Regardless, the jury found him not guilty, and I respect their decision. -

The MAGA clan is not known for being educated. -
You tell me, Private Pyle.

Dr.Fauci has long been one of the most respected immunologists in the World. He has director of NIAID from 1984-2022, and advised the White House on infectious diseases for four decades. Was at the forefront, in fighting the AIDS epidemic. He was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2008, the highest honour a civilian can achieve in America. However, beginning with COVID, the MAGA loons tried to discredit him, and suggest (for unknown reasons), that he was a criminal, and responsible for "thousands of deaths" in America. What is next for them? Painting Terry Fox as a drunken gambler?

To be fair, Smith is the most unpopular Premier in Canada. Most Albertans are disgusted with her, for her Trump boot-licking, and siding with Trump over the rest of Canada. Ford's popularity has increased already for having a backbone, and standing up to the Americans, and consulting with Ottawa. We need a united Canada to fight with Trump's ridiculous tariffs, and his lies. For instance, Trump is falsely claiming that the US "subsidies" Canada for $100 billion, when in reality, the United States is in debt to Canada by over $40 billion.

Firearms are perfectly legal for hunting in Canada.

Trump's bigger tariff proposals would cost the typical American household over $2,600 a year https://www.piie.com/research/piie-charts/2024/trumps-bigger-tariff-proposals-would-cost-typical-american-household-over $2600/year could push a significant amount of American families over the edge. MOst leading economists agree that the Trump plan to impose tariffs and deport 10 million migrant workers would almost certainly cause the worst recession we have seen in our lifetimes, twice as bad as the 2008-09 economic downturn.

The price of goods will increase dramatically, if Trump implements his tariff policies. In addition, he will likely start a trade war, that will almost certainly lead to a depression, and more likely a depression not seen since the 1930s. I guess it will depend on the tolerance of the American consumer to either pay the extra costs, or revolt against Government.
