  1. The Jets spanked Boston 8-1. The Bruins were down 6-1, when things got ugly. Fights broke out, and the team decided to run up the score to show that Swayman sucks. 8-1 thumping.
  2. If these bizarre policies are implemented, RFK Jr can be responsible for more deaths than any politician in American history.
  3. Watch Trump try and roll this act back, when he gets into office.
  4. You are so radicalised that you see the World as Black and White. Everything "left" is bad. Social security, healthcare, helping the poor, racial equality, etc. is "bad." I can't imagine spending my retirement years simping for billionaires.
  5. Thanks Captain Obvious. However, the price of virtually everything will increase, to the point that it will make inflation skyrocket, if Trump follows through with the tariffs. As an added bonus, it's going to tank both our economies, and probably drive the World into a huge recession.
  6. Trump is getting annoyed with Musk. He recently told him to "sit somewhere else" and Elon was dejected. Could this be the beginning of the end for the trump-Musk bromance?
  7. If we think inflation is bad now, wait until Trump slaps on tariffs to Canada, Mexico, and China. Food prices will skyrocket.
  8. You would like that. You dirty old man.
  9. I have always admired your ability to make friends, and influence others.
  10. Now you are just deflecting. There are an equal number (per-capita) of sick and disgusting people in every country. The bottom line, is that mass killers use guns to carry out their crimes. Even in Canada, the worst killing sprees in modern history (Nova Scotia 2020 and Montreal 1989) involved guns. The bottom line, is that the mass killings are almost always gun-related, since it is far easier to kill a person with a gun, as opposed to any other weapon (knife, bat, etc).
  11. How does the gun death rate in the U.S. compare with other countries? The gun death rate in the U.S. is much higher than in most other nations, particularly developed nations. But it is still far below the rates in several Latin American countries, according to a 2018 study of 195 countries and territories by researchers at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington. The U.S. gun death rate was 10.6 per 100,000 people in 2016, the most recent year in the study, which used a somewhat different methodology from the CDC. That was far higher than in countries such as Canada (2.1 per 100,000) and Australia (1.0), as well as European nations such as France (2.7), Germany (0.9) and Spain (0.6). But the rate in the U.S. was much lower than in El Salvador (39.2 per 100,000 people), Venezuela (38.7), Guatemala (32.3), Colombia (25.9) and Honduras (22.5), the study found. Overall, the U.S. ranked 20th in its gun fatality rate that year. How many people die from gun-related injuries in the U.S. each year? In 2021, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S., according to the CDC. That figure includes gun murders and gun suicides, along with three less common types of gun-related deaths tracked by the CDC: those that were accidental, those that involved law enforcement and those whose circumstances could not be determined. The total excludes deaths in which gunshot injuries played a contributing, but not principal, role. (CDC fatality statistics are based on information contained in official death certificates, which identify a single cause of death.) source; https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/04/26/what-the-data-says-about-gun-deaths-in-the-u-s/
  12. Try telling that to the families of mass shooting victims at schools, workplaces, or festivals. Last time I checked, school students are not criminals. It's interesting to note that private US citizens are 100x more likely to be involved in a gun related incident involving murder, suicide, accidental death, etc . than using a gun for legitimate self defence.
  13. Reagan would have been embarrassed to be Republican today. Reagan was very against protectionist measure, especially tariffs on foreign imports. Reagan would have also despised Trump, as Reagan, for his faults, believed in uniting people, and leading them to economic prosperity. It should also be noted that Reagan stood up to Russia, and paved the way for American victory in the Cold War. If Reagan was President in 2024, Trump and many other Republicans would be in jail, charged with Treason, for meeting with Putin secretly, and enabling him access to US military secrets.
  14. Would you or would you not like Canada to become the 51st state of the United States?" No: 82% Yes: 13% --- No Among: NDP: 94% LPC: 89% BQ: 88% GPC: 87% CPC: 73% PPC: 57% --- Leger / Dec 9, 2024 / n=1520 / Online Interesting that the more far right a person is, the less loyal they are to Canada.
  15. In terms of gun control, the United States has the worst record in the First World, and the highest murder rate, most being victims of gun violence. There have been hundreds, if not thousands of gun related school shootings and massacres in the past 25 years in America. It has become so prevalent, that most Americans do not seem to care when a person goes into a school, and kills dozens of people. Americans have this weird obsession with guns, that no other First World country has.
  16. Disinformation can be proven by stating the truth. This is a non-partisan issue. There were no lies told by the CDC or Health Canada. Science and Virology are constantly evolving. We eventually learned more and more about COVID, as time progressed. What the medical community thought in 2020, is different than what they think in 2024. The more we learn about the pandemic, the better the outcome. Those YouTube accounts from random bloggers, and "Doctors" that never studied Virology, or infectious diseases (dermatologists, etc). I find @herbie to be one of the most accurate posters on the forum. I agree. Unfortunately, you and the other MAGA hyenas circumvent the truth, and rely on emotions.
  17. The sad thing is, these MAGA hyenas are cheering on the dismantling of democracy. Trump wants to scrap the 14th amendment, and he will probably try to curtail freedom of speech. Threatening to jail political opponents is a textbook example right out of a autocratic leaders playbook. I will always support our democratic institutions, that have made our nations two of the best countries in the World. Trump is hell bent on destroying America, as we know it.
  18. I find the best thing to do with CdnFox, is to put him on "ignore." This way, you will not see his verbal diarrhoea, unless you decide to click on the post to show what ridiculous garbage he has to say. It saves time and energy, and makes for a more pleasurable forum experience.
  19. Good morning @CdnFox. I hope you slept well.
