You might care about the environment right now and then there's a recession and you can't find work, so you decide the economy is a big concern. Those two things are not in conflict - if anything conservative support for ev's to the degree their tech has matured is in keeping with their vision of how best to deal with climate change. Well assuming that's true one can still believe climate change exists and also believe ev's aren't a good solution for that. The science is not THAT clear and there are issues. Yeah - actually i read your comment wrong originally and mistook it for he could have not said what he said and been arrested. But at the end of the day he still would have been punished by having his education taken away. So it's not like he woudln't have suffered serious punishment.
