  1. No question: Today’s MAGA crowd would crucify Christ. MAGA is entirely devoid of religion, and religious people who support Trump know they made a deal with the devil.
  2. Show me the US Federal Law which says that. Or, I could show you the current standing Executive Order, written during the Obama Administration which gives both the President and Vice President declassification authority. I’ll wait.
  3. Wow. The US oil industry’s opposed to alternative energy? I can’t imagine why!!! Can you figure that one out? As I said, whether the US produces more or less petroleum than we consume, US consumers remain beholden to the whims of Arab oil sheiks. THAT is not “independence.”
  4. We did not have energy independence. Today, and last year, and two years ago, and ten years ago, the price you pay for gas is decided by a handful of Arab oil sheiks. That is not independence.
  5. It’s interesting that Republicans constantly favor taxes which tax all people the same, but suddenly, the policy is a “tax on the poor”. Personally, I oppose regressive taxes in all cases and I agree that it’s wrong to solve congestion problems by pricing the poor out of automobile use. Forcing people into public transportation reduces their job options. The real question: What is the truth here? Fox News is notorious for skewering the truth, so what’s really going on? Is this an actual policy, or another case of “somebody said something”?
  6. Why? If your electric utility installs dozens of windmills, which provide electricity at a cost of zero, and shut down a coal plant, how does that harm you? Here’s what I don’t understand: If you’re a nationalist, isn’t energy independence from Arab nations a plus for you?
  7. Well, yeah. We have figured out how to solve this problem.
  8. Hypothetically: Let’s say climate change was real. Based upon the logic you lived by, it would be impossible to prove it to you. Because you have convinced yourself that you absolutely do not want to believe it no matter what.
  9. We all have to follow the law, and we can all look it up, and read it from the servers of our state and federal governments. The last thing anyone here should argue is what the law says. Sometimes, it can be difficult to know how the law applies to a circumstance, and that’s when we read the case law. But the Federal law about classified information is very clearly written.
  10. That wasn’t Hilary’s investigation. Trump appointed an attorney general who launched that investigation… which landed a bunch of people in jail
  11. All I have are facts. Fact: Trump lost the election. Fact: Trump knew he lost Fact: Trump lied and said the election was stolen Fact: Trump hosted a “stop the steal” rally which resulted in the storming of the US Congress and six deaths. Donald Trump belongs in a prison cell for that.
  12. False. NOAA said that sea levels rose 1 foot in the last 100 years and will ride another foot by 2050. https://www.noaa.gov/news-release/us-coastline-to-see-up-to-foot-of-sea-level-rise-by-2050 NOAA is packed with career PhD’s who study satellite data. They’re the best of the best. They are civil servants who have no vested interest in anything besides publishing factual scientific data. “By 2050, moderate flooding — which is typically disruptive and damaging by today’s weather, sea level and infrastructure standards — is expected to occur more than 10 times as often as it does today,” said Nicole LeBoeuf, NOAA National Ocean Service Director. “These numbers mean a change from a single event every 2-5 years to multiple events each year, in some places.”
  13. I didn’t support Trump’s harassment, I supported his impeachment, because he is a criminal.
  14. Corporations are trying to deceive you into believing that, but it’s far from true. The Republican Party has changed to become some sort of conspiracy-laden, hate the liberals, weirdo religion, gay-hating cult. But beneath that veneer is the same thing it’s always been: Billionaires spending gobs of money so that they can keep their taxes low and their profits high, at any cost. Newt Gingrich ran for President and said his first act would be to approve a Keystone pipeline. You have to be a complete fool to not realize that’s it’s because the Koch brothers were America’s largest political donors at the time. Because a pipeline which transported oil from Canada to international shipping ports wouldn’t really benefit America at all, just businesses who wanted to sell oil overseas. As soon as their cartoon characters hit anyone’s political radar, M&M Mars abandoned the characters. There’s your evidence that their agenda is profit, not culture war politics.
  15. The only evidence against Pelosi is circumstantial at best, and we know that no laws were broken. However, personally, I don’t think that Congressmen, Judges or Administration officials should have stock holdings, except in 401K’s or blind trusts while in office.
  16. So… when you eat M&M’s, you realize that they aren’t the walking, talking, dancing, self-aware cartoon characters you see on TV, right? And they don’t have shoes.
  17. Your friend Reason10 wrote: ”For the past twenty years I have worked closely on the Florida Gulf coast. Had the sea levels risen an INCH, I would have seen it.”
  18. Hodad explained why. This is specifically the problem in Washington: You don’t solve problems by throwing gasoline on a fire. Politicians in both parties have enriched themselves while serving in Congress, and it is unethical. It’s not about Nancy Pelosi. Many many Republicans have done the same thing.
  19. They should ban stock trading and ownership by members of Congress period. And the President, Vice President, and Federal judges. These people are paid a salary.
  20. If you added up the ratings of the so-called “liberal media” news, they would crush Fox News
  21. Absolutely true, according to the rules that you made up. But what you don’t understand is that America is a nation of LAW. And Biden and Pence did not violate the LAW. Trump did. What’s the difference? The difference is two-fold: First, the LAW says that removal of classified documents is only a crime if the material was KNOWINGLY removed with the INTENT to keep it. Both conditions must be met. Second: The suspected charges listed against Trump involve obstruction of justice and lying to investigators. Pence and Biden were 100% cooperative; Trump was not. Trump insisted on keeping the documents after not only repeated requests, but even after court orders. Trump himself said he was “negotiating” the return of the documents. There is nothing to negotiate! If I steal your car, am I allowed to “negotiate” for its return? Of course not! Biden and Pence did not negotiate; they proactively looked for the documents and voluntarily returned them. And in Trump’s case, the charges listed so far do not pertain to whether the documents were classified or not. The issue is stolen government property.
