If it's a sunny day do you applaud Trump? What policy did Trump come up with which did anything good for the economy?Mitch McConnell used to say he put up with Trump's silliness because he would sign anything McConnell put in front of him. Whatever good might be attributable to the federal government during Trump's reign came from congress, not him. He had no ideas, no budget, no health care plan, no plan for anything. Including dealing with the border. Are you referring to his cutting the deficit or the record low unemployment? In any case one need not approve of Biden to disapprove of Trump.

You cannot be as much a narcissist as Trudeau and be a strong man. Strong men don't care what the rabble think of them. Narcissists are weak and desperate for approval. -
The similarity being both demands are patently absurd. Your contention that the FBI is politicized ignores that the last five directors were appointed by Republicans, and that most FBI agents (like most police) are Republicans. It also, of course, ignores that Trump fired the last FBI director in hopes of ending an investigation into him, and appointed the current guy.

Trump and his organizations have been subjected to more investigations and lawsuits over the past forty years than you can shake a stick at. He's always flouting regulations and laws. That didn't change when he decided to be a Republican. His love life? Are you forgetting how Bill Clinton was forced to undergo an interview under oath about his affair and how his lack of candour on that was used to impeach him. What do you think would have happened if Trump had been subjected to a similar interview under oath? Hillary Clinton was forced to testify for eleven hours in front of a Republican committee on spurious nonsense charges which disappeared after the election. Were you similarly upset at that?

You are not wrong. But that just means they will double down on their usual tactic of fearmongering against the Conservatives.

One would assume that come election time he will be talking about policies which interest the bulk of voters rather than that nonsense about cryptocurrency or the WEF.

I question this. He is less abrasive than the Fords, but they thrived in the Toronto suburbs and exurbs. Most of the immigrants in these areas are from conservative, paternalistic cultures. Why do you think Harper did better there than the affable O'Toole or Scheer? Neither was seen as being strong in any sense. They both wobbled and backed down from fights. They smiled too much. This is not something inclined to impress people from any part of Asia. If Poilievre has decent policies and gives out the image of a strong, determined, confident man he'll get a lot more votes from those areas than O'Toole did.

Well then, if the Conservatives win that will be them. Their problem has always been hesitation, softness. You want to change what's on the CBC? Not hard if you're paying the bills. Appoint someone to fumigate the place. Make political neutrality and merit the watchwords of the organization. And by neutral I do not mean having a political panel consisting of a strong Liberal, a strong NDPer, and a sort-of but not really conservative who will mostly agree with the first two. Make it a requirement that the parties choose who will represent them at any sort of panel or discussion. Bring in a new oversight commissioner to watch for biased programming and fire whoever approved it. On the other hand, get rid of the CRTC. You talk about bloated organizations that are propaganda arms of the government! That's them! -

Poilievre doesn't need soft edges. O'Toole had nothing but soft edges. Same with Scheer. You want to get votes from the horde of immigrants in the suburbs and exurbs? Show them a strong man who doesn't back down. They'll respect that. They certainly didn't respect O'Toole or Scheer. They were weaklings who backed down too easily. Of course, it would help if the man had understandable and worthwhile policies. As yet, he doesn't. Hopefully the party will give him some. -

Reelection. The only thing either of them seems to consider important. -

Trudeau is a shallow non-entity unworthy of strong emotions. One can, however, develop a considerable dislike for his policies. -

There used to be laws against it. Still are. But they're no longer enforced. That's why. -

Excuse me, but isn't your god a congenital liar? Has he not cheated repeatedly on his wives? Does he not hate many people? Did he not develop "bone spurs" to get out of fighting for his country? Did he not chicken out of firing ANY of his many staff that he had other people fired? Did he not ensure they were as far away as possible when others fired them at his behest? Why do you admire a man who has all the character traits you use as pejoratives when speaking with others?
